@Underlined: Yes it was hard, thankfully I was home (Saturday morning) otherwise it would have been really bad had I been on the train or at work!

Agree with you on every point! AMK was his confidant, advisor, intelligent officer, master spy, not to mention brother. Now he is in shackles, Shezaade does not have a trustworthy person to do any kind of investigation. All he has got are these *****🤬 where each of them have their own motive to bring down AMK/Ustaad and they have succeeded in a way 😭

FS played with Shezaade's emotions and got him to do the unthinkable

>>> 😔 I agree

I will agree to this! šŸ¤” Even Akbar used to be lenient to a limit for Salim but at one point he did reach his limit!
When Salim came to his court to ask for forgiveness for going against Akbar, bringing many elephants to appease Akbar, apparently Shahehsha just got hold of his tunic collar and took him into his personal room and slapped him 4 times. Whether Salim changed or improved after that or not, I wonder.

Can we expect this here from the Shehensha? šŸ¤”

Because of what you'd just written, I went back to read about Salim and then the other successors... Akbar was the only seemingly normal (and lenient with his son to a fault) All others seem to have no qualms killing brothers, step brothers, sons and fathers!

Ufff what Salim did to his own son... Khusrau... and how he finally died... and how everyone plotted against one another! Why did I even read it now...

The entire Mughal dynasty was a very cruel dynasty re, if we read in depth, it shivers us to our bones. šŸ˜” Yes, they were after each other's blood, their own blood, and it was not like they gave them smooth death but the most inhumanly possible cruel and painful deaths to each other. Take Shahajan for example, who created a monument of Love in the world making himself famous and memorable but what he did to his own siblings to get to the throne is unthinkable! šŸ˜’

I really did think Salim was better... but after what I've read, I've drastically amended my views...
Never really read much about the prince 'Khusrao' but after reading about his sorry life, I am feeling really šŸ’” Good prince he was, brave, loyal, had none of the vices of his father Salim - so much so people wanted him for king over his own father which made Salim - his own father - jealous of him... only disadvantage Khusrao couldn't be as 'sly' as the others... and he suffered for it!

Apparently, Shah Jahan's love story is popular... and so is Akbar-Marium Uz Zamani's

But read up about the story of Khusrao (Akbar's favourite grandson) - read up about the love story of Khusaro with his first wife (grand daughter of Rahim) He had 3 wives... but very fond of his first one.

After having been blinded with wires by his own father, and put in a cell for 10 years... his first wife stayed with Khusrao through it all...
He loved her for it and refused to take upon another wife - Nur Jahan's first daughter - which Nur Jahan was pressurising him to do so.

He knew it'd lead to his ultimate death... his first wife begged him to take on the wife... but, he had given her a promise???

Ultimately, Nur Jahan stopped supporting him... and a year later, Shah Jahan had his slaves kill him in prison...

Shah Jahan then had all of Daniyal's Murad's and EVERY other male member in the family killed 😲

I have little empathy for that old man and for him having spent his last years alone imprisoned now 😔
No wonder Aurangazeb turned out like this!

Anyway Rekha - See the power that the religious heads wielded, the 'Ulemas' - they brainwashed Salim against Khusrao his own son (because he was son of a Hindu Begum) and thought that if Khusrao came to power, the Rajput influence might become stronger in court...
I shouldn't be shocked I came across so many Farooq Sahibs while reading up on this, but I was!
