NJAPA is forever, I still have so many questions such as why jalal let her go so easily 😳 .
I was lucky at least bedsheets were left alone 😉 .
Pallu... I don't know if you've noticed one thing... the lead characters in all my stories have a healthy dose of ego. Be it Jalal, Jodha, AMK or Heera. While they are intelligent, can understand each other well, don't misread/misunderstand one another etc etc... they are also not doormats and will put their foot down when the time comes. I.e. they have a spine and mutual respect is important for them.
Heera might be deeply in love with AMK's aura... but, she does/will take her time to forgive/understand him... similarly, AMK's heart and soul is Heera. But he would never allow her to disrespect him.
In NJAPA, Jalal loved Jodha to the moon and back. However, the manner in which she shut him out of her life hurt him incredibly. He knew something was up. He tried reasoning with her twice. But his ego found it difficult to forgo anymore self-respect and beg her to talk to him beyond that. Moreover, Jodha knew that was how he was - which was precisely why she used that tactic to keep him away in the first place.
All said and done, had it progressed to a Jodha-Rishabh wedding in NJAPA in the end - Jalal would have made one strong Jalalian attempt to get her back (he hints at it to Renu in the terrace, when she asks him the same question). Of course, it never reached that stage.
Pallu, call it the faults of my characters or their quirks - but that's how they are! And I think my characters have all turned out that way because I am tired of how they are constantly portrayed on screen -
The men start off as bad boys with big egos manhandling the girls etc... and finally end up becoming absolute doormats to their wives, through a hundred different misunderstandings. In turn, the women become doormats to their in laws!😆
Hope that explained it😳
