Jalal tossed and turned not going to sleep without Jodha in his reach. He thought about Maham Anga who had deeply betrayed him by planning to kill Bairam Khan right under his nose and sadly that plan of hers remained successful but Jalal cut her head right off right there in the DEK, unknowingly he had created an unwanted enemy. He rubbed the thoughts out of his mind and thought it must have been at least 2 hours since Jodha had gone out so he summoned a soldier and asked him how much time Jodha had been in the Maharani Mainavati chamber.

" 10 minutes huzoor." The soldier beckoned while his head bowed. Jalal's eyebrows raised only 10 minutes but it felt like an hour. Oh how was he going to spend this much time with out her. He waved his wrist and the soldier went off, making Jalal even more bored,

Not even 30 seconds later Jalal summoned the same sipahi again and asked him to write a letter.

" So write... ." he commanded.

Dear Jodha Begum,

Now how much more time will you take teasing me. Please come quickly I am not even able to think straight without you. Just make some excuse to Maharani Mainavati. I await you.

There he thought short and sweet, she must have caught his need in this. He sat on the edge of the luxurious couch waiting for her but the sipahi returned not much later with another letter in his hands which Jalal eagerly asked him to read.

Shenshah,

I don't know how to convey this but Ma sa has asked me to stay in the vacant chamber near hers and the other ladies. I am already changed into my night wear, what do you expect me to do. If I tell Ma Sa, she always make some excuses up. I might not come tonight. Didn't you notice the maid come in and but my belongings away?

Jalal set out another groan, he wanted Jodha to come here tonight. If she couldn't then he would have to sneak there and go get her. He quickly set his clothing and but on his shahi turban to walk to Rani Mainavati room and fetch Jodha out of there. But as soon as he stepped out of his hojra he saw Jodha there... with Rahim. Rahim being the naughty one he was quickly asked Jalal.

" Arey Shenshah, why aren't you asleep yet." Rahim asked.

" Shouldn't I be asking you the same question Khane E Khana." Jalal asked.

" Well, I just bought Choti Ammijaan out of her Ammi Jaan's chamber so I could listen to 3 stories." Rahim innocently answered brushing past him holding Jodha's hand. Oh he should have known all of Jodha's shingaar was off and she was wearing a robe to "cover" herself he smacked his forehead with his hands and ran inside to beg Rahim to only listen to one story.

Jalal played with the ends of Jodha's robes which caused Jodha to smack his hands away while she was elling Rahim his stories ( Women in Royal time periods like the Mughal era wore seductive short night gown but always wore a grand robe over it when they were going to sleep), Jalal groaned Jodha wasn't fulfilling his needs right now. All he wanted to do was go to sleep and that too with Jodha in his arms. He asked multiple times if Rahim was not sleepy, but Rahim always had one remark. If you are so sleepy Shenshah then why don't you go to sleep.

Finally Salima Begum came rescuing Jalal and taking the fidgeting rahim to her assigned hojra. Jalal finally rested his head on Jodha's lap.

" Sometimes I wish that you weren't everyone's favourite Jodha begum." Jalal sighed out.

" Why Shenshah?" Jodha asked curiously.

" Because then you never find enough time for me." Jalal pounted. Jodha giggled silently removing his head from her lap.

" Shenshah you should now go to sleep, kafi raat ho gayi hai." Jodha remarked.

Jalal stood up removing his coat and turban. But his steady gaze was on Jodha who had taken her robe off and had hanged it by the bedside. He stood awestruck at her milky skin. He slowly took steps and wrapped his hands around Jodha's waist. He slowly started nibbling on Jodha's neck creating another hickey there. Jodha turned around to tell him to stop but that was when he attacked her lips. His tongue swirled around hers while her hands found their spot in his hair. Both of their tongues fought for dominance. But what Jalal called " kabab mei haddi" Rahim came barging into the room, which caused Jodha to quickly pull away. And put the covers over her.

" Aab, what do you want Rahim." Jalal asked annoyed.

Rahim didn't answer his question and grabbed his cap and left. Jalal sighed, Rahim had ruined his plans for the night but he got into bed and pressed a kiss to Jodha temple, and cuddled her closer, Jodha in his arms where she was safe.
