The Diwan that day went extremely well, even if it had it's ups and downs it was a day filled with Justice. His awam left that day feeling extremely glad that they had the hand of such as generous badshah on their heads. But on the gaddi of the throne it was a different story, the usual Jalal teasing Jodha and gripping her hands, but it didn't go unnoticed by Ruqaiya who sat there fuming knowing that she will win Jalal's sympathy by hook or crook.

Ruqaiyaa's pregnancy news spread like fire across the palace, and the happiest soul was shockingly Jodha. But Ruqaiya had told her off when Jodha had went to congratulate her.

Flashback

" Mubarak, Ruqaiya begum, your wish had come true you are giving birth to Shenshah's first child." Jodha happily congratulated.

" Why Jodha Begum, have you realized that Mariam Uz Zamani's Position is higher than Malika E Hind, Noor E Begum and many of your other titles." Ruqaiya sneered at her while she laid on the bed.

She walked to her beloved Shenshah room with her payal clinking it's way merrily announcing her arrival. The moment she entered the room she saw that Jalal had his back turned so she slowly placed a hand on his shoulder, which caused Jalal to turn and look at Jodha.

" Jodha Begum, aap yahan." Jalal gazed curiously at Jodha in awe.

" Congratulations Shenshah, you are going to be a father." Jodha congratulated him happily.

" Thank you Jodha Begum, Congratulations to you to, your going to become a choti ammijaan." Jalal told her with a hint of sadness.

" Shenshah, your dream of years has come true, then why this hint of Sadness in your voice." Jodha questioned with curiosity.

Jalal took her shingaar filled hand and made her sit on the bed. He then put his head on her lap and looked into her doe shaped eyes.

" Humme Khushi hai Jodha Begum. But there is this unexplained sadness in my heart, and I feel that I wanted YOU to give birth to the Mughals Heir, and my First Child. But taqdeer has played it's games, and Ruqaiya Begum's wish has been fulfilled." Jalal sadly told Jodha his eyes still meeting her's. Jodha then cupped his head with her hands and a teardrop fell down her eyes.

" Shenshah, so what if I didn't give birth to your first child, but I hope I can give birth to your second aulad." Jodha told him.

" Your correct Jodha Begum, the child also doesn't have to be a boy, it could even be a little shehzaadi, and if it is a shehzaadi her name will be Khanum." Jalal said getting up to both of them giggling.

*RUQAIYAA'S HOJRA*

" You will never understand the rules of a Begum's life Hoshiyaar. Rules and regulations, the fight for auda and trying to prove yourself as the most khaas and his most aziz. But why am I hammering my head and telling you, Khuda didn't make you a man or a women. But always remember 1 thing Hoshiyaar, the sweetest fruit a begum can receive is knowing that she is her husband's most aziz, his everything." Ruqaiya told Hoshiyaar dreamingly. " And I had that." Ruqaiya continued her voice changing into a more angry one. " Until that wrecked Jodha Begum came into mine and Jalal's life taking away everything, and that is why Hoshiyaar, that is why today I am acting to be pregnant acting to be the next Shareek E Hayat Mariam Uz Zamani." Ruqaiya finally completed.

" Huzoor, I must admit you have much more wit than anyone in the whole Mughal Sultanate, gaining Shenshah's emotions, I must admit it is a plan the most stone-hearted person in the world can fall for." Hoshiyaar told her. And both of them shared a hearty laugh, Ruqaiya laughed the most, her evil laugh echoing in the whole chamber.

Both of them completely unaware that a furious Bashah had listened to everything they had uttered.
