@abhay:wl definitely watch if i get time. Today at noon i watched new promo where hamida banu covered kanha's murti behind curtain n said jodha in rude voice to change her religion there i superficially watched the time slot of JA may b gonna to change n its 7.30 pm.(not sure) I didn't get why channel n kekta had agreed to make JA as competitor of Yai hai mohabatin frm SP which is one of ekta's serials. Ekta basically never agrees to make compition amid her serials. N it wl b huge tough now for JA to keep blance against YHM as Yhm is one of the top 3 trp rated serials at present.

I do not know the reasons of this time change, Nabiii.
But, i would advise to watch yesterday's episode if possible.
It was good.

Welcome Sri. It's ok.
I also used to get highly confused reading so many sources, initially. :))

It is no use either Jalal or Jodha talking about their relationship with Salim now. Let the present storm blow over and things settle down. Only then can they sit down and discuss the past calmly. At present, Salim is too full of self-pity and antipathy towards his parents for not becoming the SiS.

Srilu,

You can write in Telugu if you feel more comfortable in that. I know Telugu - but keep the language simple, please :)

Aadhya, Sayeri

In the Diwan-i-Aam in Agra Fort, the king used to sit on a raised platform in the center and on either side are small windows / jharokhas in the walls from where ladies could watch the proceedings.

The DEK in Agra Fort and FS are quite restricted in the sense that I could not notice where women could sit. Am sure there must have been some way for them to participate in the proceedings but that is not clearly visible now. :(

But there are hooks (iron rings) at the top of the walls all over the fort where curtains could be hung for seclusion and privacy.

Thanks for the compliments, girls. I can safely return the compliment to both of you - I love your posts. :)

Yes, Maddy and Manasi wrote beautiful posts. :)

That means the dewan e aam setting was similar as shown in the show, But the dewan e khas setting is different. Are the agra and fatehpur sikri dewan e khas built is same settings, because I saw pictures of fatehpur's dewan e khas and it took my breath away such a beautiful work of art. In our show the curtains are so transparent that they r very much useless I mean everything can be seen through them. Awww Radhikadi, thank u so much for the compliment, coming from you, it means a lot.

The DEK in Agra Fort is quite different from that in FS or the one in the show. Though it may have been similar to the one in the show by use of curtains, I don't know. It's a medium-sized hall and in front is an open courtyard.

May be the king and his family sat in the covered hall and the ministers sat in the courtyard either in the open or under a shamiana (tent). The peacock throne was kept here.

Btw, there is a huge black stone known as Jahangir's throne kept in the open courtyard in front of the DEK. He got it made when he rebelled against Akbar in 1602 and declared himself sultan in Allahabad. He brought it back to Agra when he ascended the throne after Akbar's death. There are inscriptions in Nashta'liq characters on the throne against a floral design. These were probably written by Abdullah Mushkin Qalam.

The DEK in FS is awesome. Apparently Akbar would sit in the center and each of his gems in one of the pathways. The doors would be closed after discussions started.

Your and Abhayda's history knowledge amaze me. It means jahangir was all set to be the set king, to eager and impatient. In the show the women are shown sitting at the backside of the hall , covered with curtains,.In the movie taj mahal I saw that Malik E Hind would sit just behind the king in her own throne in a curtain covered area, and would whisper advises into the king's ear.Really want jodha to get a special place in dewan e khas not sitting with other random begums, and why does she not wear her crown in court proceedings I dont understand.Yes tghe dewan e khas in FS is amazing, just the pictures left me with a open mouth.I really want to visit delhi agra and FS and see this places with my own eyes .
