The mother is also close na. I still believe it doesn't matter had Ruqs wanted Jalal's child out of love. But with her intentions being evil everything is wrong.

That wouldn't be a more of a problem? Because there is a film of Jeetendra on the same issue where a woman gives her child to her sister in law thinking that the child will be in the same house as she too has twins. But still whenever the child cries she runs first .She does breastfeeding and all too. Finally there is problem between both of the mothers.
In a marathi serial too I saw the same issue .A real mother can't stay away from her own child.

Yes she is thinking from woman side but she should think from the child's side too.You know the premature kids ,the ones who are kept in incubators? They are also everyday given to their mother for some time and the mother is asked keep the child close to her heart so that the child listens to heartbeats as he recognizes it,this helps in the recovery of the kid.Pallavi when the baby is born he recognizes mom.by her heartbeats and so whenever the mom takes it in her arms the baby is quite. The child even recognizes her voice as it is hearing it from womb. The Abhimanyu story is not wrong .
The law either Hindu or Muslim too has given full custody to mother for first five years .The relationship of a child and mother starts the moment it is conceived .And nobody has the right to break it .

i perfectly understand ur point from babies view , rukku should wait at least for yr and mean time she can bond with baby too but and this is big but trp aunties

You know why I asked this to Divya ? Because she is not married and so she is not a mother yet .So she won't get swayed by the motherly feelings which I have when I look into this.
Because as mothers we become senti in such cases .And we know about all this health issues of young babies.

i know being mom changes every thing but I not that kind of mom re when baby cries I will run , I still think about it why he is crying if does not need me then I hand him over to my hubby just that they should bond too .

Hey Divi, fab take, as always

Thanks!

Salima Begum is not wrong, but this time not right either. She's looking only from her POV...Rahim was handed to her after his own mother died...she's understanding from where Ruqaiya may be coming from...but in whole scenario she'd completely negated to take into account Jodha's situation. She can not equalise her own and Rahim's situation with Ruqaiya-Jodha-kids...they are as different as chalk and cheese.

You are right- Rahim is very different from Jo's child and that to a twin; To me, the comparison is not Rahim to Jodha's kid ... but how she had a void, like Ruqaiyya has now that was filled by Rahim

Yes, Jalal and HB understands the fragilities, the sensitivities attached if something in childhood goes awry or void it creates...do jahan ki khushiyan bhi uss khalipan ko zindagi bhar nahi bhar payegi...Neither HB nor Jalal, ever, ever could come over that emotional void left within them, in spite of understanding the demands of the situation in their life.
Jalal and HB are first hand causalities of the premise of child giving idea...no, one can understand and know, what they know...and hence, their stance.

Beautifully put - yes the Jalal and HB stance is explained very well ... why don't the CVs actually have Jalal mention his own example more eloquently ... we always have to connect the dots for them šŸ˜†

Jodha...some one change her dialogue writer..ASAP...such second class dialogues she's given...bhookha vyakti, bhojan...are we talking about baby on the menu?šŸ˜• "Vachan ke liye hum praan de saktein hain, yeh toh kewal santaan ki baat hai"😔 We can see her care, love, responsibility for her babies here...no, wonder KZ took priority for her😔

Jodha's dialogue writer has been suffering from the beginning of time

Yashoda and Maham Anga?😔😔 And she conveniently forgot to tell him, hows and whys of Kanha being given to Yashoda, who wasn't childless herselfšŸ˜•

You knew Yashodha would come in šŸ˜† ... again what she is comparing is how a adopted mother can give care to a child , not the reason why ...

No, wonder Jalal was pissed off...His trio of Khaas Begums have given their brains a long vacation it seems and all at the same time.šŸ˜•

The question is why does he not stop them .. or say we will wait for the child to turn 1 and then decide ... but glad he didn't say ... "Aap bhaja farmaati hai Jodha Begum" šŸ˜†

Ruqaiya will win the battle tomorrow in DEK...but Jalal will win the war, for sure.😊

The good thing is - Jalal is not making the decision, Jodha is

The only scene I loved was between Maham and Javeda, it was all so comforting, warm and lovable...come to think of it JA has exemplary MILs, be it HB or MA(will not take away this from her)😳

I actually think Javeda is a better DIL then she is a MIL - the way she comforted MA the first time she was caught was endearing ... I tell you she is smarter than we thought

I knew this was a custom those days but still it is not acceptable to me.

I know - at a personal level it is not acceptable .. but if a near one was feeling the pain of being childless and you loved them it may make you consider things you wouldn't have

I love their bonding ... it came out at the end of the Sujamal fiasco

However, I think Javeda is a better DIL than MA is a MIL

That said Salima would not have demanded like Ruks.

It is actually more common than we think ... but it is never done for status but for love of children
Yes, if it were Salima, she may have waited till the child was older
