Btw is the character of vatsala of the movie real? A part of Mahabharat? Never seen/heard her mentioned anywhere else.

Btw the mirror also says Shakuni is also the person Krishna thinks of most.😊

Not sure on Vatsala but love the movie

i have read another interpretation of the mirror- which was we end up focusing on what we hate more than what we love- which was my application

Divya,
Would you have supported Ruks if it was just the child and not Audha?

I know a family where one brother's family gave their son to the other brother and his wife as they have no children- it happens and the fact that the child is close by ... Makes it better

In my shoes, i would never do it ... But I can understand why one would- specifically in the 16th century

Hey Divi, fab take, as always
Salima Begum is not wrong, but this time not right either. She's looking only from her POV...Rahim was handed to her after his own mother died...she's understanding from where Ruqaiya may be coming from...but in whole scenario she'd completely negated to take into account Jodha's situation. She can not equalise her own and Rahim's situation with Ruqaiya-Jodha-kids...they are as different as chalk and cheese.

Yes, Jalal and HB understands the fragilities, the sensitivities attached if something in childhood goes awry or void it creates...do jahan ki khushiyan bhi uss khalipan ko zindagi bhar nahi bhar payegi...Neither HB nor Jalal, ever, ever could come over that emotional void left within them, in spite of understanding the demands of the situation in their life.
Jalal and HB are first hand causalities of the premise of child giving idea...no, one can understand and know, what they know...and hence, their stance.

Jodha...some one change her dialogue writer..ASAP...such second class dialogues she's given...bhookha vyakti, bhojan...are we talking about baby on the menu?😕 "Vachan ke liye hum praan de saktein hain, yeh toh kewal santaan ki baat hai"😡 We can see her care, love, responsibility for her babies here...no, wonder KZ took priority for her😡
Yashoda and Maham Anga?😡😡 And she conveniently forgot to tell him, hows and whys of Kanha being given to Yashoda, who wasn't childless herself😕
No, wonder Jalal was pissed off...His trio of Khaas Begums have given their brains a long vacation it seems and all at the same time.😕

Ruqaiya will win the battle tomorrow in DEK...but Jalal will win the war, for sure.😊

The only scene I loved was between Maham and Javeda, it was all so comforting, warm and lovable...come to think of it JA has exemplary MILs, be it HB or MA(will not take away this from her)😳

Good. You know I would have also never done that .
Because one of my neighbour had taken son from her sister. And when he grew up he was upset with both set of parents.
I knew this was a custom those days but still it is not acceptable to me.

I saw many posts where mostly r upset with JJ today...but I am not...
I knew this is coming...besides JJ were very much normal today.
Jalal went to his best friend to see if she is ok and also to make her understand the fact...he showed the concern being a friend as well as didnt forget to remind her that her wish cant be fulfilled...how would Jalal know that Ruqaiyya doesnt value bachpan ki dosti but her audha the most?

Jodha didnt take decision in hurry! she spoke to Ruqaiyya..she overheard Salima-HB convo..she went to tarazu and again thought...Jalal spoke to her..she had both types of arguments before her...but that tarazu imagination touched her chord...she is seeing Ruqaiyya as a childless woman whereas she has two on her lap...and we know Jodha..she has an urge to help people...she cant be happy making other unhappy..so to balance the tarazu she had to give one baby...she also thought for Jalal here..she didnt want the humiliation for him and wants his prestige is restored by abiding the farmaan...in Ruqaiyya's language "apne audhe se zyada apne shahuhar se pyaar hai".. Jodha was no wrong in her decision..how would she know Ruqaiyya's all pleas were for audha only?

Salima...initially I was surprised...but later I got her point..I ditto u here Divi..Salima is also a single lady who is raising someone else's child as her own..and she cant give birth to babies given she n Jalal r more like siblings..so she understands Ruqaiyya's void..she only stated the mental state of Ruqaiyya..not for once she tried to convince Jodha.

what I loved most was Jalal standing firm in his decision..he simply DOES NOT want to give his babies...he is thinking abt future...he is thinking about the kids' upbringing, the consequences and he knows Jodha can raise her kids way more better than Ruqaiyya...Jalal is thinking rationally whereas Jodha emotionally.

Ruqaiyya the less the better! "Jodha Begum ko apne audhe se zyada apne shahur se mohabbat hai" this one line sums it all! she clearly meant she loves audha the most in the world.

precap- if Jodha the mother is ready to give away her baby then Jalal cant stop her...

but i must say MA is a gud mother-in-law towards javeda. yes time to time MA got irritated with her, but in early days as well she was really caring towards her of course in her own way. i sumhow really loved MA-javeda bonding bcoz it was pure & totally selfless from both sides.

@bold: a cousin of mine did the same. here it makes us all mad because we know ruks real intentions , if it was Salima things would have been different.

That said Salima would not have demanded like Ruks.
