Dearest Jodah,
I, being a literature student, had never enjoyed such a beautiful poem as the one you have posted😃 tracing almost the entire history of Noor Jahan. BEHIND EVERY GREAT MAN IS A GREATWOMAN!! Proverb well said and applies even to modern day politics. Almost in every sense we findthat father Akbar's blood ran in his son, Jahangir ---- from having countless Begums to marrying aHindu Rajput. 😉In the painting, what has he got in his other hand? Is he stealthily giving something to the bandhi/ or 😆whoever she is standing with a platter of fruits and looking at him almost with an inquiring look.😛 But fantastic Moghul painting!! Even dad, Akbar is doing the same, you see...giving powers to Jodha. History repeats itself atleast once.😃
agree with the bold part 👍🏼
thanks dear for your lovely comments 😊 the poem credit goes to Pallavi ⭐️👏 & roshini for sharing no doubt its a beautiful poem & some lines just hit straight to heart chords ❤️
Is he stealthily giving something to the bandhi/ or 😆 ( what do you mean by or) 😆
you know Nur was Jahangir last wife he never married after 😳
actually its it said painter tells stories with there paintings 😉
i think the painter tried to show many things in one frame 😳 jahangir was famous for his wine addiction & in the painting he was holding a wine cup but he is holding the cup far & nur jahan closer 😳 which shows he was more found of nur then wine , its shows both were very close to each other ,both were in garden & it is said both nur jahangir are nature lovers they together constructed many gardens & both looks mature as per there real age(probably jahangir was 42 & nur was 34 when they married) compare to the girls standing on side who looks young 😊
(phew that was my artistic take on the painting 😆)
but i must say the painter did an amazing job he almost gave some real facts about the couple
about Nur jahan she holds her own history in Mughal era ''Never before nor after Noor Jahan
Came a queen like her in the Mughal clan''
really i'm so fascinated by this lady i love reading about her ❤️
