Recap: But Jalal crossed off his name from his list of suspects because if he wanted, he would kill Jalal not Jodha.
Suddenly, Ruqaiya's picture flashed through his mind. Her jealousy, her hatred, her anger, her agony all were proof that she was involved in his conspiracy.
"Ruqaiya..." He said, loud enough for Jodha to hear.
Part 13
Jodha was shocked to hear Ruqaiya's name from Jalal's mouth. She immediately got what he is thinking and said, " Shahenshah, yeh aap kya keh rahe hai? Aap... Aapko aisa prateet hota hai Ruqaiya begum ne hum par humla karwaya?? Nahi Shahenshah.. Aisa nahi hai!"
Jalal turned to her and replied, " Nahi Jodha... Ruqaiya aapse ras ( jealousy..😛) karti hai. Aur aapke Mallika E Hind banne ke baad unki yeh jalan aur badh gayi hai.. hume darr hai ki kahin unhone hi toh yeh.."
But Jodha covered his mouth with her little fingers and said, " Nahi Shahenshah.. Hume un per purn vishwas hai.. Woh humse itni krodhit nahi ho sakti ki humare pran lene ka vichmar unke man mein aaye... Chahiye chodiye.. Aapne kuch khaya bhi toh nahi hai. Hum bhojan ka prabandh karwate hai". Saying so she turned and was about to leave when she felt someone is pulling her dupatta. She turned back and saw Jalal holding her dupatta. She put up fake anger and said, " Shahenshah, aapne humara dupatta kyun pakda hai? Hume jaane dijiye!"
But Jalal was not to leave her alone, especially after the incident. He came closer to her as Jodha looked into his chocolate orbs, filled with conern and love for her. She kissed away the lone tear that trickled down his eyes as Jalal loosened his grip on her dupatta.
"Aap humare saath hi rahengi Jodha.. akeli kahin nahi jaayengi" He ordered Jodha to stay with him.
" Kintu shahenshah..."
"Humne keh diya na Jodha.. aap humare saath rahiya.. agar allah na kare kisi ne dobara aap pe humla kiya toh?" He was tear eyed now.
"Humara kya hoga Jodha?"
"Aisa kuch nahi hoga Shahenshah.. Aap hain na humare saath. Jab tak aap humare saath hai hume kuh nahi hoga" Jodha smiled, trying to comfort him.
Jalal couldn't hold his tears anymore. He hugged her tightly and burst into tears. He cried bitterly in her arms. Jodha continuously caressed his back and comforted him. Finally, she broke the hug and wiped his tears. She said, " Chaliye Shahenshah.. ab aapko bhukh lag rahi hogi.. Chaliye bhojan kar lete hain." Jalal held her hand tightly and intertwined it with his. A smile played on her lips seeing his concern for her.
After walking for a long time, they reached a village where naach gaana was happening. Jodha and Jalal smiled sensing the happiness of people of this village. They spotted the village chief supervising some preparations and went to him and asked, " Bhaisaa.. kya hum aaj ratri yahan vishram kar sakte hai?"
He was impressed by the couple who looked royal and divine. He replied, " Avashya.. Aap uss ghar mein vishram kar sakte hai.. Kisi bhi vastu ki avashyakta ho to humse kahiye ga.." ( he pointed towards a small hut)
They thanked him and went to the hut. Jodha made Jalal sit on the floor. She said, " Shahenshah.. aap yahin rukiye hum bhojan late hain" Jalal nodded and Jodha left the cottage to go to the area where food was getting prepared.. ( open kitchen ).
She went to an old lady and asked her, " Maasa.. hum apne bhartar ( husband) ke liye bhojan bana sakte hai?" She was so polite and gentle that the lady agreed immediately.
Jodha made rotis and dal for him, thanked the lady and headed to their cottage. Surprisingly, the door was latched. Jodha remembered that she didn't latch it but didn't give it much thought and opened the door.
To her surprise, Jalal wasn't there. She came out of the cottage and thought for a while. She couldn't call him 'Shahenshah' as people will either think that she is mad or they will doubt. And she wanted neither. She decided to look for him herself. She headed towards the area where men were sitting. Women couldn't go there. She spotted Jalal talking to an old man and silently whispered, "Shahenshah..." Jalal heard it. How could he not recognize Jodha's voice? But he decided to annoy her. He pretended that he didn't hear her whisper and continued talking. Jodha got annoyed. She was sure that Jalal had heard her. She whispered again, "Shahenshah.. hum hain Jodha!" Jalal smirked hearing her. HE turned, looked here and there, and turned back to the old man.
Now Jodha was very irritated. She picked up a stone and threw it. As she expected, it hit Jalal's chest. Jalal smirked and whispered very slowly, "Junglee Billi" Old Man heard it and grinned at the couple. He had also noticed Jodha whispering and throwing pebbles at him.
Old man said to Jalal, " Bhaya, lagta hai aapki patni ko aapki zaroorat hai.. Main chalta hun." Jalal looked at him with shock as he slowly walked away. He turned to Jodha with the same confuse look as Jodha looked away from him with anger.
Jalal smiled and moved towards her. Jodha saw him coming towards her from the corner of her eyes and turned her head and moved backwards. Jalal was coming towards her and pinned her to the tree and said, " Humse naraz ho?" Jodha nodded a yes. Her big brown doe like eyes, filled with innocence melted Jalal's heart, one which he thought he never had. He slowly removed his hand from the bark of tree and held his ears. Jodha quickly removed his hands from his ears and gave her million dollar smile😃.
Jalal hugged her tight and Jodha hugged him back. Then she broke the hug and asked him, " Aap yahan kaise? aur jab humnein aapko pukara to aapne uttar kyon nahi diya?" Jalal smirked at her and replied, " Hum us ghar mein baithe the ki hume laga ki hume apni saltanat ke logon ki taklifon ka unki mushkilon ka pata hona chahiye. Bas isilye hum unse aise hi ek musafir ki tarah baat karne lage. Isse humein apne hi logo ki nainsafi ke baare me bhi pata chala..."
"Aap kitne samajhdar ho gaya hai Shahenshah?!!!" Jodha smirked.
Jalal looked at her, and replied, " Accha, to pehle kya hum bewakoof the?"
"Nahi nahi Shahenshah.. Humara arth ye nahi tha.. Aap galat samajh rahe hai.. " But before she could complete Jalal burst into laughter..
" Aap... Aap bhi naa Jodha.. Humare mazak ko sach samajh leti hai..." He said, laughing, giggling.
Jodha fumed in anger and pushed him and ran to the cottage.
"Jab dekho yeh humara uphaas banate rehte hai! Ab hum inse baat nahi karenge." She murmured.
She reached the cottage and closed the door from inside, knowing that Jalal would come.
Jalal reached the cottage and knocked on the door and said, " Jodha kholiye hum hain!"
" Hum nahi kholenge!"
"Jodha ye kya bachpana hai?? Humne kaha darwaza kholiye!"
" Toh humne bhi kahan ki hum nahi kholenge! Aap humara uphaas banate hai naa.. ab rahiye bahar!"
" Accha baba abse hum aapka mazak nahi udaayenge.. ab to kholo! "
Jodha smirked as she heard him. Still she didn't open the gate and said, " Nahi.. ab yehi aapka dand hai!"
" Mat kholo... phir hum abhi yahan mukhiya ko bulate hain!"
Jodha thought that he is joking and replied, " Haan Haan Jaaiye.. hum to darwaza nahi kholenge."
Jalal grinned thinking of what to do. An idea struck his mishiveous mind. He started shouting, " Are... Suniye koi hai??? Humari ardhangani bheetar band ho gayi hai!!! Koi Hai??"
Before anyone could come to the hut, door opened and Jodha pulled him inside. " Yeh kya tha Shahenshaah?? Aap aise kaise keh sakte? aap Shahenshah hai"
" Hum iss waqt Shahenshah nahi balki mohabbat mein dube ek aam shakhs hai" He smirked as he saw Jodha's blush. Jodha pushed him and said, " Aap bhi naa Shahenshah!!"
" Hum bhi kya Jodha???" He asked as he moved towards her.
" Aap... aap ( thinking ) Haan aap bhi toh bhukhe honge naa Shahenshah? chaliye bhojan karte hain!" Jodha said, trying hard to control her blush.
Jalal's focus shifted on his hunger and he started demanding food. Jodha made him sit on the floor and said, " Hum bas abhi khana paroste hai Shahenshah.." She got the food ready in a plate and put it in front of Jalal.
But he wouldn't eat it. Instead, he pulled Jodha towards him by her wrist and said, " Jab tak aap nahi khayengi tab tak hum kaise khayenge Jodha?
Jodha blushed lightly and fed him. Jalal also fed his lady love. Jodha felt so content as she fed him. She sliently sent a prayer of thanks to her kanha for sending Jalal as her husband and wished for his well being before sleeping in Jalal's arms.
Sorry for short chappy guys! Am so packed up with work cant tell...
