RECAP: But Jodha shook her head in a no. She took the glass near his mouth and made him drink it. Jalal drank half of it and made Jodha drink water.
Jodha held his hand as they took a walk around. It was a beautiful Jungle. Melodious Birds were singing their heart out. Jodha and Jalal felt the true beauty of nature as they strolled around.
Part 12
Jalal was at peace. Finally, he was feeling the same peace which he felt at their love confession. He unknowingly encircled her waist and pulled her closer to him. Jodha didn't resist, she had got used to Jalal's actions. Finally, Jalal broke the silence between them, " Jodha, yaha ka mausam kitna khushnuma hai. Kitna sukoon mil raha hai hume yaha.Yeh sukoon hume Agra mein kahi nahi milta."
Jodha wasn't surprised hearing him. She knew that Jalal was engaged in political matters in a tender age. He didn't got time to enjoy and relish nature. He had almost forgot that there is something else than politics. But after Jodha's arrival, his life had been altered dramatically. He learned to value one's emotions... and found his heart in the process. The heart which belonged only to Jodha...❤️
Jalal's manly voice filled with enormous love broke Jodha's chain of thoughts. "Jodha... aap kahan kho gayi?"
"Kahin nahi Shahenshah... wo hum bus kuch soch rahe the." She replied in her ever green sweet voice.
Jalal was back to his naughty mood, he asked with a naughty smirk, " Kahin aap humare baare mein to nahi soch rahe the Jodha?"
" Haan... Humara arth hai Nahi shahenshah... Hum aapke baare mein kyu sochenge?" Jodha replied innocently.
Jalal knowingly slowed down and came behind Jodha. Jodha, unaware of his intentions, kept walking while he followed her. A naughty smirk crept on his face as he encircled her small waist with his hand and rested his head on her shoulder. Jodha was surprised and tried to run but his grip on her small waist was way too strong.
"shahenshah... Chodiye hume.. sab humari pratiksha kar rahe honge"
" Intazaar kar rahe hai to karne dijiye Jodha... hum to aapko nahi chodenge." He replied, his voice filled with mischief.
Jodha smiled at her innocent yes mischievous husband, who she could never resist. Jalal kissed her cheek which sent million sparks in her body. Every time Jalal touched her, she felt as if she is in heaven.
"Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai Shahenshah? Chodiye hume... Hume jaana hoga" She said, with her breath getting heavy and irregular.
"Jodha..." He whispered in her ear.
Jodha was losing her control, she needed to do something fast before he goes further. She quickly turned and hugged him tightly. She wanted to get lost in his arms... to spend her whole life in his arms.
Jalal caressed her back while his fingers played with her hair. "Jodha..." He said, a little louder this time. Jodha snapped out of her daydream as Jalal called for her.
"Ji Shahenshah.." She said , composing herself.
"Chale? Wahan sab humara intzaar kar rahe hai... Unhe ravaana karke hume ek aam insaan ki tarah ajmer Sharif jaana hai..."
Jodha's eyes glimmered with tears... tears of joy. Jalal was transforming into a better Shahenshah, a better human being. And deep inside her heart she knew the reason of his transformation, her love.😳❤️
A mysterious man who was hiding behind a tree and listening to their talks smirked in an evil manner. He had identified his target..
FLASHBACK: ASSASSIN
A women with her face covered was waiting in an isolated house for a man. As soon as he reached the hut, he greeted her, " Begum E Khaas Ruqaiya begum ko Qasim ka aadab" .
Ruqaiya managed to smirk and said, " Agar hamari izzat karte ho, to humara ek kaam karna hoga tumhe Qasim"
( Qasim was Ruqaiya's maid Ruksar's husband. Only Ruks knew that her husband is an assassin, not even Jalal. One day, Ruksar's daughter fell ill and she needed money to save her life. Ruqaiya helped her in return of a promise that Qasim would repay her debt when the need arises.)
"Aapne humare bacche ki jaan bachayi thi huzoor, aapke liye yeh gulaam jaan bhi de dega"
" Tumhari jaan to bahut keemti hai Qasim.. aakhir tum hi to Jodha begum ka katl karoge." Ruqaiya gave her signature evil smirk.
Qasim also smirked and replied, " Jo hukm Begum Sahiba.."
FLASHBACK ENDS.
Jalal was looking around to make sure that there isn't danger when suddenly he spotted an arrow coming towards Jodha. His heart stopped beating, his mind stopped working. He shouted at his best, " JODHA BACHIYE!!!!!!!". Luckily, Jodha ducked at the right time and was safe and sound. Jalal ki jaan mein jaan aayi.😆
Jalal's eyes were filled with rage as he spotted a well built man clad in a black dress running away. Jalal immediately ran behind him and caught him as he accidentally fell down. Jalal grabbed his dress and started beating his like a mad. "GUSTAKH!!!! TUMNE MUGHAL SALTANAT KI BEGUM KI JAAN LENE KI KOSHISH KI!!!! HUM TUMHE CHODENGE NAHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Meanwhile,Jodha, Adgah Sahab and other people of his covoy had also gathered there listening to his shouts.
Qasim fell on his feet and said crying, " Muafi huzoor! Hume... Hume Jodha... Jodha begum ki.. ki jaan... ki jaan lene ko. lene ko" But he couldn't complete his words as his vision started to blur. Foam started oozing out of his mouth, indicating poison😲
Ruqaiya had poisoned him to ensure that even if he gets caught, her name wouldn't be revealed. And, her plan worked. Qasim fell dead the next moment.🤢 Jodha put her hand on Jalal's shoulder, trying to comfort him.
Jalal was still full of rage. He ordered Adgah sahab to take qasim to Hakim Sahib and asked everyone to leave for the palace. Adgah sahab objected but couldn't argue because of Jalal's current mood.
Finally, Jalal and Jodha were alone. Tears were continuously coming out of Jodha's eyes. Not because the attack was intended to kill her, but because of the current state of Jalal. He wasn't even looking at her, forget talking. His eyes were full of rage and agony. He was sure that the attack was planned by someone living in the palace. Because knowing where the convoy currently is and hiring an assassin could happen only when the planner is of the palace. But then again, Abul Maali was an exception.
But Jalal crossed off his name from his list of suspects because if he wanted, he would kill Jalal not Jodha.
Suddenly, Ruqaiya's picture flashed through his mind. Her jealousy, her hatred, her anger, her agony all were proof that she was involved in his conspiracy.
"Ruqaiya..." He said, loud enough for Jodha to hear.
