Part 14
Jodha and Jalal are sitting together at the edge of a river. Jodha is resting her head on Jalal's chest as he caressed her hairs.
" Shahenshah..." Jodha said in her sweet voice.
"Hmm.." He replied, not wanting to break this lovely silence. Whenever Jodha is in his arms, he feels true heaven...😃
" Ab hume mehel laut jaana chahiye.. bahut adhik samay ho gaya hai.. Ammijaan, Salima begum, Ruqaiya begum.. sab ko humari chinta ho rahi hogi." She said, suddenly becoming slight upset at the thought of returning back to palace.
" Nahi.. Kuch samay yahi rehte hai naa! Kitna accha lag raha hai, aap yahan hai, humari baahon mein.. hume aur kuch nahi chahiye" He said and made faces like a child.
Jodha smiled at his antics and sat facing him.
"Kintu Shahenshah, humara jaane ka bahut mann hai.. Hum yaha kab tak baithe rahenge? Chaliye naa mehel chalte hai.." She said, rather lied to him. She immediately stood up and started pulling him.
Jalal knew how much she loved nature. He had seen it himself. In the chilly month of December. She could come out at midnight only to admire hte beautiful moon. He knew that she was lying, just for his safety and happiness of his close ones.
He gently pulled her wrist, making her turn. He stood up and held her by her shoulders. " Aapko pata hai Jodha.. aap jhooth nahi bol sakti." He said, his eyes clearly showing his love for her.. HIS Jodha
Jodha smiled faintly as Jalal pulled her in his arms again.
" Aap bhi yahan rehna chahti hai naa Jodha?"
Jodha nodded as she snuggled in his chest.
" To fir aap vapas jaane ki baat kyun kar rahi thi?" He knew the answer, still he couldn't stop himself from asking her.
" Vo Shahenshah.." But she never goes on to complete her words. A man with his face covered came and pulled Jodha out of his arms.
"SHAHENSHAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Jodha shouted at her best. She feared to go away from him.
Jalal's eyes widen in shock. He immediately tried to get up and fight the offender but could not. An unknown, unseen chain was bounding him.. It was preventing him to fight him. All he could do was watch the offender as he carried her away. No, he couldn't let his Jodha go away..never
As they say, true love cant be defeated. It is certainly true. Even God bows down to true love.
Jalal struggled and struggled, but to no avail. Here Jodha was crying profusely. Jalal was infront of him, in tears, and she couldn't comfort him. Her entire body trembled to think how would he live without her. Her mind recalled the night of their divorce. How badly he was crying. How many times he asked for forgiveness.. she couldn't let him suffer again because of her.. She decided to fight the offender, who dared to apart them.
she kicked him hard on his leg. He squealed in pain. Sensing the opportunity, Jodha break free out of his grip and ran to Jalal.
" Shahenshah,... Shahenshah. Dekhiye hum theek hai!"
Jalal opened his eyes, only to see his Jodha. His eyes widen in shock as he saw the offender running towards Jodha with a k.. knife.
" JODHAAA!!!!!!!" He shouted, but it was too late.😲
The offender had stabbed Jodha on her back. Blood was oozing out continuously. She fell on the ground, not able to bear the pain.😭
" JODHAAA... JODHA AANKHE KHOLO!!!!! JODHAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" He shouted, crying bitterly. His Jodha was stabbed right in front of his eyes and he couldn't do anything except watching her suffer.'
" Sh..Sh... Shan.. Shahenshah.." She said with much difficulty. Her voice was barely above a whisper.
" Tum.. TUmhe kuch nahi hoga Jodha... Yeh humara vada hai... HUm abhi hakeem sahiba ko bu... bulate hai.. Ruko" He turned to go but Jodha gently held his hand.
" Ab.. Iss..Iss sab ka... Ka Koi... Koi Mehtva... Mehtva nahi.. nahi hai shahenshah"
" Nahi Jodha.. aisa mat kaho... tumhe kuch nahi hoga.. tum humare saath rahogi Jodha, humari ba.. bahon mein" He said. Tears were rolling out of his eyes continuously.
" Shahenshah... hum.. hum bhi.,.. hum bhi aapki baahon... aapki baahon mein pran... pran tya... tyagna chahte hai" She replied, smiling.
Jalal immediately took her in his embrace. Jodha managed to hug him back. She said, " Hum... hum aap... aapse... bahut... bahut prem... prem kart..karte hai... Shahenshah.." She took her last breath.

Jalal was sweating badly in his sleep. He was murmuring continuously, " Jodha... Jodha mat jao.. Hum tumahare bina nahi reh sakte... Tumhe kuch nahi hoga Jodha.. mat jao"
Jodha woke up feeling thirsty and heard his murmurs. Tears welled up immediately in her eyes. He was feeling pain because of her. She shook him gently and said, " shahenshah, hum theek hai.. apna netr kholiye" But Jalal was not feeling well. He was sweating and murmuring.
Jodha shook him a little more harder and said, " Shahenshah, uthiye.. Hum theek hai dekhiye!" Jalal opened his eyes and the next moment Jalal took her in a bone crushing hug. Jodha continuously rubbed his back for comfort. Tears were oming out of his eyes. He never ever wanted to lose her, not even in his dreams. Seeing his condition Jodha's eyes also started shedding tears.
It was an awkward moment for them. Jalal was at peace that he hasn't lost Jodha while she is taking herself to be guilty for his present condition.
" Hum tumse alag nahi hona chahte Jodha.. kabhi nahi.. khwab mein bhi nahi.." He said in a broken voice.
Jodha was utterly broken. Never in her worst dreams she thought that Jalal could be so broken. She feared to see him like that. She just can't. Her eyes shed tears the moment she see him in pain.
" Shahenshah hum theek hai.. Aapki Jodha kabhi aapko chod ke nahi jaayegi" she replied, trying to comfort him. She was continuously searching. Searching for words. " What words of comfort could I possibly offer him in such a dreadful condition?" She thought..
" Shahenshah.. aap to kabhi ashru ( tears) nahi bahate the.. to fir aaj kyun?"She asked in a soft tone, not wanting to hurt him.
Jalal broke the hug and took her hand in his, " Jodha vada karo ki tum kabhi bhi hume chod ke nahi jaaogi... Hum tumhare bina reh paayenge Jodha.."
" Hum aapko hod kar kaise jaa sakte hai? Aap humse inta prem jo karte hai" She kissed him on his cheeks and made him lie on the bed.

Jodha went to his side and caressed his forehead. Jalal held her hand and kissed it. Jodha smiled and closed his eyes by putting her hand on his eyes.
" Ab so Jaaiye Shahenshah."

Jalal slept soundly holding Jodha's hand. Jodha smiled at her love. How painful it was for her to see him like that. Her entire body trembled at the thought of their judaai.

A lone tear trickled down her eye and it landed on Jalal's hand. Jodha wiped it off but it slightly disturbed Jalal's sleep. He pulled her hand and she fell on Jalal.
