That said, the character meandered along the way … certainly more on J’s side than Ani cos Ani made strong entreaties and efforts to break off with Arshi on realisation but the plot kept him engaged…reasonably fairly I agree until baby announcement and my empathy lay with Ani

But him staying in the last 5 years with Arshi wasn’t even explained in the narrative and to J how should she have perceived that information?

So one can’t say that her insecurities are completely misplaced… the places where she behaved absolutely stupid was in the tumour- post HA phase and also the baby birth where her involvement looked so fake so obviously she was written in a strange manner cos her conflicts looked bizarre at several junctures as if the writer couldn’t make up her mind whether to give make her pathetic, insecure, stupid, trusting, caring, fake mahaan, maniacal, resigned to fate revengeful or all these at once

But in this current phase… what is absolutely stupid is both characters having progressed so far behaving stupidly -Ani’s jealousy trait in his earlier phase was exploited by the writer to act as if Ani has no brain where J is involved but again only when it suited the narrative else Ani was cool as cucumber with a J’s marriage with his friend at an earlier stage whatever be his compulsions then & J who has resolved to stay away and then not sharing any information but now acting as if she has been cheated - makes no sense except for a perverted way for the writer to keep these two apart

I must say her insecurities are a capital phenomenon and it's a strange feeling giving jhanak a pass to any of her choices right now.

If we're to situate a sense of a narrative and I'm afraid to call it growth or character regression... the narrative suggests a perfect innuendo, a deep seated pragmatism that jhanak has in such a unique way cribbed as the status quo. Not that arshi WILL be there but Arshi SHOULD be there, it's interesting to note the lack of originality of any claims of insecurities on jhanak's part.

Maybe it's a satiric malice on leena's side, her intent is always suspect. Because jealousy and pain should be evident on her thoughts and actions but what the writer brings foward is a conventional non grata in the form of timorous acts. Even through her pain it's still unacceptable to the story.

All I'm saying is jhanak feeling insecure of ani's intentions and actions is simply stupid.
