Hi Guys,
A quick review of Sunday's episode...

The starting comedy bombed again...didn't work...last week they were so good...and this week...what happened?? Even the thing they did with Kavita was totally out of place and bombed...

Okay...its late and I have a very early morning meeting tomorrow..but why I am motivated to make this post tonight...is because how much I disagreed with Ganesh on rating Faisals performance.

For last two weeks I have been saying Faisals performance didn't click for me. Today it did. He and partner danced wonderfully! The choreography was very good with PK character...the expressions were bang on. I loved how they played with the rhythm ...,and they deserved very good marks for performance today. I think their interpretation of the theme was unique and I liked it for that reason. Why should Ganesh assume that everyone should interpret something in the same way? That's where the creativity comes in.,,..different interpretation...I am totally with Karan on this one. I think Ganesh had a very narrow view. Lauren's marks were BANG ON...if judges want the participants to use a prop they SHLULD SAY SO...they only said the theme is motion and Faisals choreographer respected and beautifully interpreted the theme...There was no reason for poor score...just because his interpretation didn't match with Ganeshs!

Secondly, I loved Jai's headstand on the treadmill!! 👏 WOW!! That takes some skill!! Sanaya and Jai's performance was good. I liked the slide off the treadmill step and also the lift on the treadmill. But Lauren was right again...the transitions between moves can not go through a dead stop. Need to be careful. Overall enjoyable performance. I would like Sanaya to pay more attention to postures. Shoulders have to be square, back straight.

I think Kavita had the most difficult prop...and she did amazingly well. The dance was smooth, well timed and well performed. I think they deserved a better score this time. By scoring her low...the judges dug themselves a hole because there was no way they could score others very high, after scoring her so low...that wasn't consistent. They all scored Vivian high for smooth use of a difficult prop, rightfully so. Kavita deserved the same consideration.

Okay ...now I am not trying to be mean...but I think Raftaar has gotten a weak choreographer. He is a strong dancer...has been since he came in. But the choreographer hasn't improved him any...and is not able to utilize or guide him well. I hope she will change my opinion next time.

Shamitas dance was okay...technically good. But the degree of difficulty was quite low...it just wasn't at par with the other performances.

Lastly, the lady ...subhreet...I am going to be honest and say...I wish she would wear a prosthetic...I just can't focus on her dance without that. I appreciate her courage and think she has a lot of talent...but I don't think a fair comparison is possible.

As always your feedback / comments are appreciated.. If you like my reviews, please press like to let me know.

I so agree with u wrt to faisal...his choreo interpreted it in a dif way n it was fabulous. ..the judges should have been specific about " motion ". ...the kids are awesome n they wl bounce back...but I must say I am missing Remo as judge...

Remo is good ...the best judge of all is Terrence ...have you seen him in action? The guy is fabulous...!!! My opinion ...of course,😆

Yes...Ganesh had "an" interpretation...that's a common interpretation...but not the "only" interpretation! Creativity is about the differences ...😃

LOVE YOUR POINT OF GANSEH AND HIS NARROW VISION OF A THEME!!!!

So agree! If so the use of a prop is mandatory that should have been explicitly told!

Your posts are best on this forum, agree w/everything you said.
And Y.E.S at Raftaar partner, Sneha has always been a weak choreographer, every season idk why JDJ still keeps her.

Great review, Sush!

I'm just so let down with Raftaar, he's one of my favs but something is just not clicking and it's so frustrating. He's leaving next week, pakka. There is no doubt about it. My only hope is if he comes back in the wild card with another choreographer.

OMG GANESH CAN BE SUCH A P**** What is the problem if their interpretations don't match? Really! JUST GO AND TELL THEM A PROP IS MANDATORY! They can't read your mind! So annoying.

About Subhreet, I'm glad you said it. I always felt confused about her. There is just no way to be fair to her.

I caught sometime after Sanaya started and liked her performance. She is slowly blooming..and that is a very good sign, I feel. Its like she is getting acquainted with the floor a bit better with each performance. (Didn't catch last week's).
I loved Faizal's concept. Execution was good...just that somewhere in the middle my mind wandered off. But I agree with U and Karan.

These were the only two performances worth remembering. I agree with what you said on Subhreet. She said she wanted people to appreciate her as a dancer. If so, she really should wear a prosthesis and eliminate the disparity.
