firstly the pattern of the show has been like this through out...whether it is fair or unfair is pretty debatable... more than the championship JDJ has been based on popularity... and we all know that results were based on popularity rather than the actual caliber. However what i think is it is pretty fair for all because every participant gets equal exposure and some of them do perform for becoming more popular specially those who people hardly aware off... and the others are basically for TRP masala to be honest... at the end of the day it is entertainment. The more the popular face is the more TRP they will get... the more there is talent till the end of the show the more TRP... yes sometimes it is sad to see the much more deserving candidate loose but kya kare this is media...and everything is fair as far as TRP is concerned...

Agreed 👏

Some of these contestants coming in have little to no dance knowledge and when you put them alongside someone with immense dancing abilities it is unfair. To be trained in a certain form is one thing and to be a winner already and to have proven your abilities as a dancer already is another thing.

We all know the history of the winners of reality show. Less than 20% of the time does a deserving contestant win.

The format of the show relies heavily on audience votes. And yes, the audience will vote for their favorite contestant, irregardless of whether they're the most deserving one. That's true for any season of any show.

However, with the matter of having Shakti as a contestant, I do not think it's unfair. I'd say she is as much trained as Lauren was. And why does it matter where they won their titles? They both proved their dance abilities pretty well.

And from what I can tell, Shakti does not have a strong background in indian classical dance. And she's probably never done any of the new and unheard of dance styles they're incorporating this season. So, she too has a lot to learn.

I believe having shakti on da show is fair...
She's not only a dancer but an actress and thereby celebrity. ..
Also in every season of jdj we have seen a trained dancer...lyk we have seen Lauren in da last season...
Having a trained dancer in da show makes competition tough and very interesting. ...

At first I thought she was going to be a choreographer which would of made better sense. But when I found out she was a contestant I didn't think that was fair. Everyone deserves a chance at winning, even though hardly the deserving win. But when you put her up against some of the other contestants it is without a doubt she's a clear winner.

@red yes i agree but SOME not all...
@pink i disagree at this point because a participant needs to show growth and should be able to perform on every damn thing they are ask to perform and not only her performance will be weighed but also her partners as well... the chemistry, the sync needs to be perfect with her partner as JDJ is not a solo dancing competition..so i guess it is too early to judge...

NO ... I dnt think that Shakti being a contestant is unfair.. As she is not only a dancer but also an actress... :D nd Yaa... No doubt ...she actually deserves to win... :D nd v can see many contestant are dancers.. Nd i guess Mouni nd Andy (i have read sumwhere in interview ... Not sure ) are trained too... :D Bt it's not going to affect Anyone... Evn it's going to raise the performances of other contestants... :D nd More than dance .. I guess this show based on popularity of contestants... V can see this from previous seasons... Lyk Lauren is amazing dancer bt she did nt win bcz of less voters she had... :D NO OFFENCE TO ANYONE THIS IS JZT MY P.O.V... :D

If i think it as a competition its not fair.
And shakti participating because she is an actor can also be applied to salman also because he acted in the same ABCD film with lauren but he choose to be a choreographer. But jhalak has always brought professionals to raise the standard of the dance and as a dance lover i am OK because we will get more good dances.

Ofcourse its fair!
Shakti is a celebrity and hence qualifies under that criteria for Jhalak!
And as far as her being a dancer is concerned, well, that is no secret and the judges will judge her according to her abilities!
In Jhalak, every contestant is not generally compared with another but judged upon how far they push themselves!
For eg : There was a time when Lauren and some of the other contestants both got 30,when it was obvious that she is superior as far as technique is concerned!
So its basically a battle with your own self and how far you can push yourself in Jhalak!

And just coz Shakti won DID does not guarantee that she will win another reality show! Its her talent and hardwork which will eventually get her the crown!

Well As per my point of view there is no question of fair & unfair..
The judges sitting over there watch a contestant's growth.. not level..
As in if a contestant will perform first time good then automatically that person's ability is judged & taken into consideration..
if second time that person will do a little bit of mistake then her/ his previous act then Judges will give them marks Keeping in base the first performance of their..
So the clear funda of this is to raise standard of dance of a person every time..
Baad mein Wahan Shakti bhi ho & her performance will not as good as before dances then she got less marks then before..😳
I think it's easy to grow Abilities & capacity from 60% to 90%
But it is so hard to grow Abilities & capacity from 90% to 95%
Hope u can understand what I want to convey..
So I think this journey is as hard for Shakti as other contestants..
Or I can say it's more hard for Shakti then other contestants..😊

Every contestant is allocated with a qualified professional choreographer
I guess that puts all of them on par keeping aside individual capabilities

So I guess it doesnt really make a diffrence here, maybe she will perform better but here she is dancing with a choreographer & Tushars abilities can make a huge difference
A good dancer even if trained with a bad choreographer doesnt work out as compared to the other way round

Reg Shakti winning she has 90 % chances cos 1-shes popular amongst a teen audience who will do anything to make her win 2-she has Tushar a strong choreographer and 3-well shes pretty dAmn good

& if she wins ill be over the moon, cos last 2 seasons were disappointing
