Why women can't see a confident woman. This question is for those who think Sandhya is over confident. What do you think SRK is...... confident or over-confident?.

Whenever these women see a smart, confident woman they start bashing her. Like Ankita in Indian Idol, Mauli in Sa re ga ma pa and now Sandhya.
They want woman like Prachi(who acts like a 8 years old girl, Sumedha(who also doesn't speak like a 19 yrs old either.) In my opinion Sandhya is the best dancer and by the way I love her choreographor Javed.

I think SRK is over-confident and I liked Mauli from Sa Ra Ga Ma and I wanted Ankita to win Indian Idol, if Amit was voted out. All the people you have mentioned, with the exception of SRK are confident people - not over-confident people. They believed in their ability, but never believed that just because they get praised that they are going to win the competition.

Just becasue prachi screamed a few times doesnt mean she acts like an 8 years old !!!
Loads of people sream let her be herself !!!

Just my thought but i think you have something against 19 year olds and plzzz those of sandhya fans who have said dont look at peoples personality becasue this is a dance show then one request stop doing it youreself and i am going to say the same thing to you its a dance competion not personality or attitude show !!!

we dont look at how prachi acts like backstage we look at her dancing because thats what JDJ is all about !!!!

Just because she changes BF's every season, does that make her confident correctly ??
I am only curious to you the difference between right & wrong confidence and since you have given examples of each category, I have gotten more curious.

yes in my opening post i have written that i find sandhya over-confident and her expressions loud...no where on india forums does it say that we should discuss only one point per thread...i didnt want to make 2 different threads dealing in related issues so i discussed it in the same one...i didnt mention both the points in the thread heading as i thought why make the heading too long...so let it be in the body of the post...i didnt know it would get u jumping this way...lol!! hope it makes sense now...or if u can meet me...i can explain it better on a white borad with a marker.

every word, every term is a concept...a concept is something one needs to understand or realise....human behaviour and psychology have been my subjects where we had topics such as self-esteem, confidence, etc...and that where i have picked up this that confidence is also a concept...i dont blame u for not knowing this...but i do find it strange that u are going off the topic and argueing about and challenging something which u dont even know!

even if u didnt agree that confidence could be a "concept"...atleast from my post u understood what i was trying to say....i meant that sandhya is over-confident and she isnt really as good a dancer as she always claims to be as her expressions are hopeless...

now stop debating about whether confidence is a concept or not...and think of better ways of defending sandhya's stupid comments like...she n her choreo are like yuvraj n dhoni...and the judges know who is a good dancer...and also defend the ugly faces she makes while dancing! good luck

I am surprised that you are a psychology student. When you say ' every word...every term is a concept', I feel like laughing. Sorry did not want to be mean but just to support your theory you are throwing up anything. YOu have still not answered the simple question as to how is Sushmita Sen's confidence and diff from Sandhya's. What is the diff in 'right concept of confidence' and 'wrong concept of confidence'.

As I said it seems from your post is that the right confidence levels are those by which you know that you are above the law and rules can be bent for. Its the similar concept of confidence which Salman Khan has after he runs over people and kills animals, coz he knows that the rules will be bent in his favour. Am I right ??

I think you need to defend Prachi coz she is the one who has bended the rules (and has confidence levels matching to Musharaf & Salman), she is the won who is on that stage unfairly. Plsu she cannot defend herself as screeches are never counted as opinions. So as I see it, you need to do the defending.

Well I totally agree with you. What is worse is that such things are pointed out by females themselves. I am surprised that instead of supporting a confident young woman, they try to pull her down. This is the way our society is and we are all to blame for it.

As I see it that those people who see others having more confidence then themselves, they tend to call them 'over confident' in order to justify themselves in their own eyes. I am a MA in Psychology and with my limited knowledge I can see that this is just human nature.

For many women who are confident enough will never find Sandhya over confident. But some who will judge her based on their self confidence, will find her OVER CONFIDENT. The term OVER comes only because you are comparing it with some other level and in most cases it is your own self confidence against which you judge.

I too find SRK over confident but I realise that its from my POV and maybe I compare his self confidence to mine. OSO's success proves that he is the best when it comes to business & money, so maybe he is justified in calling himself the best !

just as u can see the difference of maturity levels between sandhya and prachi (which i agree to as we cannot expect a teenager to be as mature as someone much older) just as most of us know that konkona sen is a better actor than dia mirza...similarly, many of us here can make out the difference between sandhya and sushmita or whatever examples i had given...and i repeat myself...if u want further explanation...meet me so that i can explain on awhite board with a marker to u!

You couldn't have said it better. I don't understand why sandhya is being bashed for her confident attitude. I find her free spirited kind of gal who believes in herself. You are right people are comparing their confidence to hers and find it over bearing.
