i don't think she is over confident...
first of all, if the person is over confident then it means he/she thinks they are too good for the competition , so then they would stop working hard and Sandhya is SOO not doing that. her performances are only going higher in a scale. She is not taking any thing for granted or slacking off..then how can u call her over confident??

Just because she doesn't cry or beg for the votes , acts like a mature and confident woman..she is over-confident?? 😕 😕

this way , we women are always going to be behind from men caz whenever a woman does something on her own and acts as a confident , independent women, other women will be the first one to crticize them.. just so sad

.....in that case we should not call shahrukh over confident either...so what if he goes around claiming to be the king of bollywood...he is improving and i not taking his work lightly....at this age he has worked out his abs !

a person is overconfident when he/she starts believing that no one else is as good as him/her and either says this out straight or shows it with his behaviour.it has got nothing to do with whether the person works harder after that or stops working...from sandhya's behaviour it is quite evident that she thinks she is the best in the competition...she does seem to be hit by superiority complex.

no one here has said that sandhya should beg for votes.please learn to take other's opinion and respect it.if someone says he doesnt like sandhya...do not get judgemental on their taste or values.dont start off with things like...if u dont like sandhya then u dont value smart and confident women and u only like the typical dumb bahus etc etc.

(now i hope i am not labelled as a prachi fan in the next few posts here)

That is teh perfect description of over-confidence given so far. I think Sandhya is a great dancer, but her superiority complex, as u put it is really off putting. There are many women who are confident that I like but it is over-confidence that I dislike - as I said before - confidence is a nice trait - over-confidence is not, whether we are talking in regards to a man or a woman.

i am sorry but do u even know the meaning of over confident??

Over confident is someone who does not have any doubts about their abilities and talent. They think they have evrything which is needed, so they don't need to try harder. YES U R RIGHT, SHAHRUKH IS NOT OVER CONFIDENT, on the contrary..from what i see, he is the most insecure person and that's why he was behaving that way. If he thought he is the KING in reality, then he wouldn't have promote his movie the way he did. He would have sat home on his butt , thinking what harm newcomer movie can do to him! But NO HE DIDN'T DO THAT..all the comments and promotion was to put down saawariya which is insecure behavior. His six packs was his way to make his place in younger generation..basically his way to compete with hunks like Hrithik!

And even if we think he was serious about his comments on being the king and all..that's still not called over confident, it is called arrogancy and being too proud.

So plz get ur facts right, Sandhya is defiently not over confident...she is strong woman who doesn't need some tears or million stars on the show to support her She just lets her work speaks for itself, admire her attitude👏

Sunny, Sorry but I do not agree with your comments (well most of it), you have said that confidence is when saomeone feels that no one is as good as he/she. Well this is only partly true but not in this context. When it comes to Jhalak you are comparing yourself only to the few opponents you are competing against and on a particular skill of dancing. Well in that case if Sandhya feels that she is a better dancer than the remaining participants, then it is true and it will be only a fool who will turn a blind eye to this reality. But why she does not become over confident is for the fact that she knows that she has reached this position of the no 1 dancer on the show due to effort and hard work and she is still doing that, she is giving more than 100% everytime. IF she was overconfident she would have stopped working hard. And it is not like she is the only one who feels that she is dancing (at present) better than any of the others, its the esteemed judges who are also of the same opinion.

When Federer says that he is the best player in the world currently (actually he can say he is the best ever) it is 100% true coz he is the No 1 ranked player and it can be seen by all. This is a fact and he is not dumb to deny it, however he works much harder than all the others on the tour constantly strives for improvement and maintains his position. Does that make him Over confident ???? As per your theory when a person feels he is better than the others, he is over confident ... then in most of Fed's interviews he has said he is the best in the current lot and will try his best to remain there. That means he is over confident ??

Sorry sir, do not agree at all. If he would have skipped practice and put in less training and effort then yes, he would be over confident.

It pains me to see people pulling down a young confident women like that. In India there are very few who are like Sandhya, who can speak their mind freely without the fear of society. You will find many politically correct, dramatic, re-gressive women but you will very rarely find a young Women who has the confidence and is not afraid.

i did not say "dont debate at all"....i said dont go off topic and debate (whether confidence is a concept or not coz the debate is about sandhya and not about whether the terminology is correct or not even after the meaning has been explained over and over again)...

u can laugh at whatever u want to...your mockery will not change things...concepts still remain concepts...and your personal attacking at my education only makes me feel u r getting ugly so i should ignore all your subsequent posts...

i dont think i owe u any explaination about salman mussharraf or prachi or about "bending rules"....as i do not patronize any of these people...and no where have i said that they are confident or rules should be bent...so u should have questioned me on what i have said...not on what i have not said.

...KEEP AWAY FROM ME !!!! 😉

Well chalo atleast you agreed that Sandhya acts more maturely than Prachi. Okay if you cannot give me the answer to my question without meeting me personally, then its okay, I have no intentions of meeting you.

Plus I was not mocking at your education or anything (sorry if you felt that) but there were some points which you put accross and I thought you tried to justify then not by reasoning but by saying 'look I am learned and studying so and so subjects etc', (off the topic & just for your info I am also an MA in Psychology from one of the well known colleges in Mumbai and also work in a related field for the last 8 years) I have no intensions of attacking you personally, but yes I will agree that i am pained when I see a confident young women being pulled down by anyone. Living in a male dominated society, I have seen many such instances and have seen that for most people either you are the Weepy Regressive Serial types (which is expected & accepted) or else you are an overconfident scheming B****. These are the 2 broad divisions in our society for women. Even our 100's of soaps portray this - either you are the tormented, traditional women (bahu/beti)or your the tormenting women (saas / aunty ). Nothing in between, you will never find anything inbetween these extremes as it is a reflection of our society. Its very rare that you find someone who is breaking free from these set patterns into something which is a new identity for women. And I feel that they should always be supported but most of the times in the real world you push & pressure them so hard that they fall back into either of the 2 divisions and do not break out of them.

And as to why I dont find Sandy as over confident, well I have replied to Sunny in my post above.

i really wish so many people would stand up to defend taslima nazrin (rather than some sandhya mridul).to me taslima is more of a daring, confident woman of today (even if she dsnt dress up in the most modern ways)who has spoken her mind out for the betterment of the society but is now running a life threat for the issues expressed in her book against her religion...whereas sandhya talks n talks for her own selfish reason and even said on the show if the public doesnt agree with the judges then she cares a damn (as pointed out already in the first post of the thread).all that she cares for is winning.she is putting in effort i agree, but so are the others (everybody except mika).the australian cricket team has gone arrogant and over-confident but they still practise hard, play hard and win...but i still believe they need to taste defeat to get their attitude right...that holds true for sandhya too in my view.

It's funny how noone says a word about Jay or Ronit acting like smart a**es all the time but if a Sandhya gives a devil may care attitude, people make it a mission to call her overconfident and arrogant and what not. always a woman, always. haha.

i support sandhya just because she speaks her mind its wrong to call her over confident . Its always best to trust a person who speaks her mind than a girl plotting inside her head and acting sweet . I feel sonali is over confident ! No talenet but keeps flying high saying shes the biggest celebrity . Before this show I thought she was a down to earth girl , but the show has revieled her true nature 🤢
