T ime and again, film industry cir- cles have insisted that Shilpa Shetty and Anubhav Sinha, who directed her in the film Dus, are about to get married. Studio cor- ridors are buzzing with the news of their impending marriage yet again. Although both the actress and the director have denied the rumours vehemently, there has been no clarification from the director's wife Ratna, who is "uncontactable." Sources state that she has moved out of her husband's house in Andheri to New Delhi, with their six-year- old son. A film industry source said that Shilpa Shetty and the director have made plans to tie the knot in February next year. The actress was uncontactable but Sin- ha dismissed the marriage talk in an SMS to HT Style about the wedding plans: "What date and venue? Does she know about it? Ha ha ha ha. Arre kaam karne de yaar (let me work, pal)." Interestingly, Shilpa, who last worked with Sinha in Dus, had decided not to work with the director again after rumours of their 'affair' surfaced. So she will not be seen in his next project, Cash, which was filmed mostly in Cape Town, South Africa. However, sister Shamita Shetty stars in the film in one of the leading roles. Shilpa will be seen only in an item num- ber in the film, which will be shot in Mum- bai. The move, apparently, is to scotch ru- mours of an affair, which would have been fuelled further if the actress had flown to Cape Town for the shoot. Interestingly, some time back, Shilpa de- cided to cut down on her assignments. Cur- rently, she is shooting for two films – Anil Sharma's Apne and Anurag Basu's Metro. And there has been no news of her taking on new projects.

"While I can't tell you what the role is about, we are keen to cast Ajay Jadeja for one of the important char- acters but the decision will be taken only next month as some things are yet to be finalised." Jadeja was unavailable for comment.

Three reasons to get 'Dhoom'ed again
By: Shaheen Parkar
November 23, 2006

As the much-hyped Dhoom 2 gears up to hit the marquee, we check out how the male TV actors' brigade is gearing up for Sanjay Gadhvi's sequel.

While some want to measure temperature levels when Ash appears on screen, others want to measure Uday Chopra's heels.

Some even want to figure out Hrithik Roshan's real identity: Is he Spiderman, Superman or Krissh? Here, they give us three reasons why they want to get 'Dhoom'ed again!

Pawan Shankar

1. To see Ash in skimpy outfits for the first time on screen.
2. To wonder whether Ash will set a trend with her clothes.
3. Will Ash get Indian women to discard the sari?

Akashh Deep Saigal

1. Because it appears to be a slick pic from the promos.

2. Hrithik and Abhishek are in a film together for the first time; that's reason enough.

3. The sequel appears to be even better than Dhoom.

Anuj Saxena
1. To see which beauty is wearing something more than her birthday suit on-screen.
2. To figure out if Uday Chopra has grown taller after wearing heels to match Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan's towering personas.
3. To find out why Dhoom 2 is not going to doom at the box office, since my production house (Maverick) plans making films in 2007. I want to know: Dhoom mein dhoom machane ke laayak kya hai?

Ajay Gehi
1. To study Ali's character. I played him in the spoof, Ghoom. I want to be a part of the spoof's sequel too!
2. To figure out whether Hrithik is Superman, Spiderman, Neo from Matrix or Krrish. He's flying, jumping and doing everything in between, so I'm pretty confused!
3. To see whether Indian films can match the fast and furious pace of international films like Torque.

Gaurav Chopraa
1. I acted as Kabir in the film's spoof, Ghoom. I want to check out how long Hrithik Roshan's hair is in Dhoom 2. Is it long, like mine? If it is, I could play his role in the spoof's sequel too!
2. My testosterone levels are normal, I'm a trained fashion designer from NIFT with X-ray vision, I would like to know what Bips and Ash look like in the film. I've studied in a school for boys. Get the picture, right?
3. I want to see how far Yash Chopra's pushed his son Uday in this film. In the hoardings, Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan have completely sidelined him. Will Dhoom 2 give his career that big push?

Rohit Roy
1. From the promos, it is evident that Ash and Bipasha are looking hotter than ever. That's reason enough to go see this flick!
2. To see the sequel for Hrithik; I had him as a guest on my show and he told me that this is the best action he has ever done.
3. To see my friend Abhishek Bachchan, and how he's bettered his role as ACP Jai Dixit.

Sajid Khan

1. Aditya Chopra.
2. Aditya Chopra.
3 Aditya Chopra.

Amit Varma
1. To check out how pretty Ash is.
2. To wonder how beautiful Ash is.
3. To see how hot Ash is.

Shveta Salve Gives Tribute to Helen
<>document.write('Faridoon Shahryar, ') Faridoon Shahryar, IndiaGlitz [Saturday, November 25, 2006]

'Jhalak Dikhlaja' fianlist Shveta Salve is going to give a performance once again. This time she will be seen performing on the old hit numbers of renowned dancing queen Helen at the Hero Honda Television Awards which is taking place on the 25th November.

Shveta after competing on 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' on Sony TV against Mona Singh till the finale, has set new goals in her career. After receiving good reviews on her dancing skills, offers don't seem to be stopping for her. And now after Jhalak Dikhla Jaa, this will be her first ever performance and she seems super excited about it. "After Jhalak people wanted to see me dance, and I have done shows but they were all pretty small time stuff. So basically I accepted on this because I wanted to get back to dancing and this was a great opportunity considering it's the Hero Honda Awards and I'm getting to do a solo dance," says Shveta.

Pooja Bedi

Style icon, model, TV host and a rebel, Pooja Bedi wears many a hat, and each with lan. IMAGES BoF cornered the diva on her style secrets.

Casual Comfort

I am an avid traveller and pick up interesting things on my trips. My wardrobe is a collection of experiences around the world. I wear jeans and singlet of River Island, GAP, Morgan, Coogy and a lot many brands from around the globe.

Formal Tucks

For a formal evening like weddings or receptions I wear designer clothes from Malini Ramani, Rohit Bal, Manish Malhotra and Nisha Jamval.

Foot Loose

I like to wear slim heels, usually stilettos above three inches. I abhor thick heels. In Mumbai, Gossip at the Oberoi has some fabulous collection.

Be Jewelled

I like wearing earrings that match my outfit. They are either gold or artificial ones of any brand. For gold, Anmol at Bandra has great variety. Being a Taurian I prefer emeralds.

Treasure Tote

Bags are again something that I pick up on my visits abroad usually at Selfridges. Cheemo in Mumbai has some lovely beaded bags.

War Paint

For eye shadows, blushers and lip gloss I buy MAC or Makeup Forever. I use only Chambor eyeliner. They are really good. I am very sentimental about perfumes. Since I was 16, I have been hooked to Anais Anais by Cacharel (day perfume) and for evening parties I prefer 24 Faubourg by Hermes.

Under Secrets

I am extremely passionate about lingerie. I have drawers and drawers of lingerie sets. La Perla and Aubade are the best brands I have.

Shopping Destination

I either shop at designer boutiques or shops like Kimaya, Courtyard or 7 Best Marg in Mumbai. I like shops at The Oberoi too. In New Delhi, MG Road has some fine stores. Among the places abroad, I like London for semiformals and formals. Their collection has great style. Dubai is also my favourite halt for economical semiformals and casuals.

Brands I Long For In India

I travel abroad very often so I don't long for any particular brand here. Whenever I need something I just fly over and get it.

bird perching: Shveta Salve turns birdstand for the several macaws at the Jurong Bird Park in Singapore

Shveta Salve is back in Mumbai after a four-day Singapore trip. She needed one badly after the tough time she had doing Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, learning and perfecting different dance forms, competing for the title and managing her hectic schedules.
So we gave her a chance to recharge her batteries in Singapore.
Shveta made the most of it by exploring and experiencing everything that Singapore has to offer.
She enjoyed a bird's eye view of Singapore from a hot air balloon, had a wild time in the Singapore Zoo, indulged in a relaxing massage at the country's best spa, took the Hippo-tour and visited the cabaret among the other things. Phew!
She went, she explored, she shopped. Read all about Shveta's Singapore adventures in a colourful eight-page special 'Shveta in Singapore' tomorrow

Bollywood's not for me:Soniya

Remember Soniya Jaffer, the choreographer who made Mahesh Majarekar dance to her tunes on Sony's Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa? Well, the pretty lass may not have won the competition but she sure has made film directors sit up and take notice. Soniya's been getting a lot of film offers but she'd rather do her dancing all the talking. In fact, she wants to represent India at the Olympics. This one's an ambitious girl!

Pooja-Hanif to boogie in Goa

Chaitanya Padukone
Wednesday, December 20, 2006 23:59 IST

The hostess will perform with her choreographer boyfriend at New Year's Eve there

Post the reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa', Pooja Bedi just can't get over her newfound addiction to dancing. So for New Year's Eve, Pooja with choreographer-turned-buddy Hanif Hilal is going to perform at the 'Goa Vibes' show to be held at the Panjim Gymkhana in Goa.

Although Pooja swayed mostly to racy Bollywood numbers during 'Jhalak' she will not include any film songs for her show. "Since I will be performing to Latin American rhythms and rumba and salsa tunes with Hanif, we decided to do away with Hindi songs," says Pooja. She continues animatedly, "It will be a high-energy naya saal with salsa. All of us will be dancing till dawn. This will be followed by a champagne breakfast."

Incidentally, Pooja will be competing with celebrities Yana Gupta and Rohit Roy even as she will get support from DJ Ryan, singer Sanjay Maroo and actor Nisha Harale.

Is it true that Pooja is not keen to revive the next season of 'Just Pooja' (Zoom) as she has more ambitious plans? "That's right! I'm planning to switch over to a bigger channel where I would be reinventing myself. I want to return with a chat show with a different dimension and brand.

'Jhalak' gave me a wider exposure," she answers. Incidentally, Pooja has also been offered to host an international travel show which will require her to travel much.
