@All:

Thanks for responding. Daya truly won the hearts of everyone. Thanks to JDJ, we could come to know of some facets of his personality. And I agree venture, new actors can really learn a lot from Daya.

Daya is probably the most humble and sweetest guy on JDJ. Absolutely no airs about him even though he is so popular! I'm so glad he gave a "this is it" performance as he left because I always thought he had lots of potential! I'll miss Daya and Vrushali!

Nikita, you totally said everything that I wanted to say!

I have nothing else to add, except that Daya is a really great actor, a good dancer, but above all, he's amazingly modest and down to earth and frank in a very sweet and heartwarming way- he's a great human being!

I totally agree about Daya, he's so sweet and I am sad to see him go. I am glad he got a chance to perform, especially since he missed out on performing last week. He will be missed!

Out goes one of the humblest, down to earth contestants of JDJ Season 4, and pardon me if I sound cocky or if I'm wrong, but the best lifter of this season of JDJ...😛
😛
Lot of emotions were going through me when watching him perform for the last time. Well, I wouldn't argue with the judges decision of eliminating him...ragini was better than him, plain and square, but even in the first performance of his today, I could see a whole lot of improvement in him, although looks like he couldn't complete one of the steps properly because of his back. Anyways, I still feel a bit annoyed at Remo for his harsh comment about Daya Sir not showing any improvement over the days...I think he has shown tremendous improvement...from his first performance to now, his steps are much more fluid, and complete. IDK why Remo keeps criticizing Daya Sir in such a caustic tone, but anyways, what is done is done.

Dunno why he did not give his best in the other performances, might be due to strain, or maybe due to confidence problems, as you all know, he is an extremely conscious person, and it wasn't even his effort to get into the telly industry, its something that happened to him coincidentally. Anyways, yeah, and then the constant negativity of Remo. Somewhere on his face, I saw a mixture of pain, and disinterest, and he was looking extremely relieved when Ragini was getting the votes...so if he's happy, I'm happy.

I was so glad after he was done...everyone was cheering him on, Remo said this is it, and all the judges gave him a standing ovation...his speech did not make me cry, but brought a broad smile to my face...and for some reason, gave me flashbacks to when I was a child some 10 years ago, and when us children in a complex used to play chor-police and I would be Daya, and nowadays when I see the other children fighting on who would be Daya and who would be Abhijit, I fighting with my parents to see a case in which he was framed despite it being an exam night for me...really brings back memories. But anyways, that is why I respect him so much...it is funny how he is such a humble and kind person who speaks out his heart and mind, despite playing the role of a hard and tough cop, who is seen breaking doors and slapping criminals and lifting them with one hand...I applaud him for being such a versatile actor too. Finally, the end where the audience was shouting "Daya! Daya!" and all the contestants rushing to hug him and Vrushali and all....I guess this has been the most memorable elimination this season. Really appreciate how everybody came and hugged him...especially Ragini and Sushant...so kind of them😃

Well I have my regrets too...Daya himself is a very private person, and in fact, I remember that many people didn't even know who Daya was prior to the show...now hopefully more people know him...anyways, like I was saying, it is highly unlikely he will take up another show, or maybe give a interview, and it is also very unlikely that he will act in another movie(he has acted in Johnny Gadaar). It is disheartening because after 13 years of watching a person play a a certain character, you wanna see him outside that character, she what that person is actually like. That's why we were kinda surprised when he took up this offer, we CIDians had never in our wildest dreams ever thought that he would even consider taking part in such shows....it was like a dream come true for us CIDians.

But all is not gone waste. We never knew our Daya Sir could sing so well, so yeah, like Nikita Di said, certain facets were brought to us, and I'm grateful to JDJ for that. Certainly we got to see the other side of Daya Sir. Unfortunately I guess he couldn't concentrate due to the extended timings of CID( due to a special series), and CID Gallantry awards. Anyways, no use making excuses...

Anyways, many people have wondered why we(CIDians) call him Sir...it is due to the sheer respect he has gained from from 13 years, and not just him but a few other people...but since the topic's about him, let's stick to him...how can you not respect him, he is so kind, considerate, and he was more handsome back in the days(not that he doesn't look good now), he didn't win the Best Looking Man on TV in 2002 for nothing😛 We also watch CID for him and a couple of more characters, who have been on the show since it started and are the stronghold of the show, otherwise the crappy storylines are enough to make us quit the show. But yeah, it is mostly respect that has brought us together to address him as 'Sir'.

I would have liked it if Daya Sir would've stayed for another week or at least been ousted after Shekhar...but guess not...him not performing last week proved to be detrimental.

Anyways, all in all, no regrets, we all love you Daya Sir!😃 Through this show, you have not only made an impact in the hearts and minds of us CIDians but other people too!😃 Now take care with your back!

There ends my journey with JDJ. I really wish I could stay on, as I've watched every season so far, but this is slightly overwhelming for me. But I'll certainly be updated with the show. Again, not being cocky(sorry if I sound that way), but yeah, JDJ is gonna lose a LOT of TRP's.😆

And finally another thing, congrats if you made it this far!😆

I am totally awed at your performance last night. What a performance it was and how touching and elite was your resile. You rocked and your last performance in the competition made every single performer walk upto you and praise you. This is how one should bow out and it came so naturally to you. To me, I have simply put you in even higher esteem now 😳 😳 😳
Will miss you on JDJ but nevertheless I am happy for you.
I am so proud to read the comments here about Daya Sir. He truly is our super cop.😍

Although I was never a fan of his dancing, I became a fan of him as a person after seeing him exit with so much grace and modesty. The way he said he felt "guilty" that better performers were eliminated before him, speaks volumes about his humility. It was said from the heart, there was no attempt to gain sympathy by saying so. One of the most genuine people I have seen on screen!

he was extremely gracious in the elimination and gave a wonderful performance before leaving. if it's possible, he won even more fans than he currently has, with his speech and exit 👏
