I felt Daya's elimination was one of the MOST emotional and genuine moments for me on JDJ!
There were no big big emotional words- but his speech was said with so much of honesty! I felt myself going Aww.. when he said that at every elimination he used to be sad that someone else went when he should have gone.. and today he is actually glad that he is going cos now no deserving one will be eliminated. Also I loved what was shown in the AVI about what he said that he as always identified with his CID inspector identity and he wanted to show a part of himself through JDJ (or something like that.. I don't remember exact words).
His act was awesome! I and my whole hostel full of girls were clapping so hard for him- he did it after a bout of back pain- it is commendable that he picked himself up and worked so hard for this dance.
It really deserved a 'THIS IS IT' from Remo! Not just for the dance, but also for Daya's honesty and his efforts! Malaika's feelings when he performed his last dance seemed just so real! Thankyou very much to the JDJ team and especially to Remo for asking Daya to show his last performance for which he had worked so hard! I felt I could see the same Daya in that performance which I had seen in his first performance- at that time I had felt he would be the dark horse on JDJ!
I also liked it very much when he said that he feels bad for Vrushali cos she is a great choreo and she could have gone further in the competition if she had a better partner- again an honest and an absolutely Aww.. statement!
The best part was when all the contestants came to him and Sushant (horribly adorable with his biggest smile!đ) and others came running đ to give him a hug. It seemed so genuine to me! In fact this whole part seemed very genuine to me. They all seemed REALLY happy that he did so well.. and this was one of the best moments for me in JDJ! I wish they could show the offscreen bonding between the contestants- it would make the show so much more fun!!
Daya lost JDJ, yes, but he went out like a hero today, this is what I felt. âď¸The irony of the situation was awkward for all- a 'this is it' performer had been eliminated!
What were your thoughts on Daya's elimination?
