.p.s not bashing anyone, am a fan of both gc and isha

if u think someone has bashed just reprt them simple .. y r u dragging some other contestant huh .. n about elastic band I dont think its bashing rather ds word is often used to express one's body fluidity or flexibility .. like my grand mom used to say Helen's body was like a rubber band , I don't think its bashing .. ne way if u think u have an option to report .. bashing another contestant is not at all an option

PS: calling stiff is not bashing but calling he has no talent is defo a bashing .. go through d post I have mentioned n then decide ..

"he has no talent" definitely not bashing, that's what someone feels and expressed, the way you might feel that GC is full of talents. I don't see any bashing there

While calling someone elastic band or joining circus is insulting especially when used in the context.

And I never said bashing any celeb is an option. I simply pointed at the hypocrisy I felt from your post (that's what I felt not saying you meant it)

I feel Salman-Isha fans openly indulge in selective reading/understanding. We so-called 'Salman-Isha' haters do not get a kick out of riling up the fans and nor are we 'insecure' of them in any way (How did that logic come about anyway). I'm pretty sure that everyone (and I can vouch for this) has a valid reason to dislike them as performers. I can point out a hundred different reasons to support my opinion and claim. The thing is, we do not have a problem with Salman-Isha making mistakes, the problem is with the judges giving them marks chhappar phaad ke when in all honesty they deserved criticism. Second problem is how they have been epitomized as the ultimate dance gurus, while in actuality every form that they have ever attempted looks very different. (Which brings me back to point one, that it is okay to make a complete goo out of a form as long as that is being pointed out, instead of being praised to ceaseless heights)

It's just that Isha is naturally aided by her flexibility in adding 'OMG-that's-so-mindboggling' moments in her piece - which, actually, the piece is pretty much all about: gimmicks. Infact this is a problem I have with all dance reality shows in India, they rely way too much on gimmicks, tricks and unnecessary props to increase the entertainment value. It really detracts from the actual dancing. If you actually do some research on dance, watch videos on youtube and other websites (and this includes Indian/bollywood choreographies also btw), or simply just go watch SYTYCD, you would see the drastic difference.

In fact I happen to think that there has not been a credible dance show in India after Boogie-woogie. Man, that was some real talent.

Coming back to Salman-Isha, I feel Salman doesn't really have that creative bent to come up with something original. His horror act was hugely inspired by Sushant-Shampa's act, his so-called tango borrowed alot of steps from Nicole Scherzinger's performance on Dancing with the stars, and all his other acts have relied way too heavily on Isha's natural ability. There has hardly been anything original dished out from his end, ever. He is very limited both as a dancer and a choreographer and once can make that out. I wonder what khichdi would have been pakaoed on stage had he got Bharti as his contestant, because a choreographer's true test arrives when he/she has to work with someone who has absolutely nothing to do with dance in any form.

Lastly, like I have been reiterating ever since this show started, just because you say that you performed 'bollywood' or 'afro jazz' or 'bachata' on paper, does not mean that you actually did. And yes, I can say that because I'm a trained dancer (and a very experienced one) and am credible enough to make a distinction for myself, thankyou (before someone jumps at me for not having any 'knowledge') The truth is that Salman-Isha had not even scratched the surface of these forms, and inspite of rehashing old steps on different songs, they received endless praise. I'm sorry, but that simply does not sit well with me.

That's cuz you're talking about that example out of context. Elastic band is bashing, like calling GC a robot. Now that would definitely be bashing.

And who is the judge of who is talented, us, so it's up to the individual whether they think someone is talented or not, it's an OPINION. You're basically comparing apples and oranges here. And since you won't get my point, I am outta here !!!

lol her original ID is ANMT which is banned because of so many warnings and she came with a new ID to MB forum too to bash GC there. Don't know why is she always after gc that she will even make 1-3 new ids and go to all forums just to bash him.

Lol I think gc is one of those actors who has obsessed fans and haters at the same time. Obsessed fans can't seem to agree with any diff pov and call them with many names while obsessed haters never seem to leave him anywhere 😆

i have my unique take on this. i was always mesmerisd by isha's talent and their flawless performances. but, now thy hav reachd such a top stage in ths show tht audience started xpecting much more frm thm. its jus like being th class toppers in a school. teachers n fellow students always xpect smthng more frm them. whereas if any average student performs better once or twice, thy r appreciatd but cannot b put in th same league of toppers.
i too started feeling frm ths satrday tht thy ver getting monotonous. but whn i watched those acts again i noticed tht th steps ver not repetitive but th look n costumes were. you see, for an average indian audience who is used to bollywood/ indian dances where xpressions r primary , all th western dances look th same aftr a point of time. for me, i cant differentiate much b/n tango & salsa or infact, b/n waltz & ballroom. but i can see tht thy r perfect and flawless in watever thy do. so th marks r compltly justified.
the other contestants also never attemptd anythng so drastically differnt in reality. but thy change th look and costimes of th performance so much tht it appears differnt.
for instance, gurmmet performed kathakali. his costume n make up gave a whole different look to th act but th kathakali steps ver very basic and not so impressive. but th performance felt different .
same with rashmi's yakshagana. the costumes and the look gave a feeling of versatality but th steps ver so basic tht any amateur can do.
Evn isha's critics liked th horror act th most. why? bcoz her look and costume in tht act was compltly differnt and never repeatd again. but in realty, that was th performance where she used flexing skills to th maximum and did not dance in particular.

So I was wrong. I and my Mom are not in the minority- there are many others too who have a different take on Salman Isha's so called 'mindblowing' sequences. Salman and Isha are highly overrated in my opinion.

Great posts here, and I agree with what U-No-Poo said about the gimmicks stuff.
