thanks for that information re the director. so it's aman singh... i think he was one of the assistant directors on ipk. must say, he is so truly off the pitch.

please do drop in whenever you like, this is an open thread. and yes we chat a lot... we have never stopped loving ipk or talking about it, don't think 8 episodes of jashn will get in the way of it either.

hard for many of us to watch what is happening on jashn. but still it's good to investigate, learn.

so aman singh. must go find out a bit more about him. thanks again.

Thank you very much for the info on director. That saves me a major heart break as I can't bring myself to believe that Lalit Mohan could do this to IPK/ ASR!

Did see Aman sigh's pictures on Jashn sets but was not sure who exactly is doing this. Yes, Aman singh did direct some episodes in the original. The Remarriage ones ,August last week, where ASR entered the temple and did rasams for the first time, tried to emulate Khushi in Aarti and Prashad.. we all wondered why it/ ASR is so much off.. then later it was known that Aman Singh directed those episodes as Arshad Khan was on Ramadan holiday! So yeah.. the off pitch, as indi says, continues.. 3 years later.

Please do not hesitate to visit or comment on our thread. We have been religiously stuck onto IPK talk over the past 3 years.. some times we may rant.. some times we may fangal.. some times we may crib and complain.. some times we may just be enchanted.. everything that is IPK!

a stray thought on pyaar prompted by jashn.

even though this is all a bit nightmarish, maybe there is a lovely thing about love in it.

maybe i feel a bit like asr on that day when he realised khushi had had a paternity test done to see if he were arav's father. i had wondered on that day, how he could get so incensed one moment and then let go of it so easily. how could he not remain angry beyond belief. how it didn't get severely in the way of his relationship with her .

we all felt khushi's anger, misery, sadness, horror, terror, every feeling when asr did what he did on that night of their wedding, and we said to ourselves we understood why khushi went into her chaotic ott frame of mind post that... even though i really never could get that reaction. i felt her bludgeoned, suffocating, terrified, bereft and broken heart and thought her reaction would have been different, but never mind. so khushi did things not very khushi in that state of mind.

imagine the lack of trust shown here, with this paternity test. and the invasion of his being... something of his, a hair most likely, is taken by his wife whom he loves beyond himself... and given over to a lab to see if he is lying about his relationship with an ex-girlfriend, if he has fathered a child with her.

he got livid. then he just worked off his anger. as i watch jashn, i think i am getting why he could do that. this was no new relationship in his life... this was not when he had just begun to feel his faraq as with the night of the terrace and shyam and mu (oh famous mu), this here was a man who had been through much in life, then found a beautiful person, been through a lot with her and now was in a place of ease in his heart about their love. needing her, knowing she is part of his breath... just committing to her... no matter what.

a long relationship, a confidence in it, a clear and present need. a vital need.

he is a sharp man. he understands khushi and her mind... he knows she doesn't really not trust him even if it looks like that.

she is hassled and is doing silly stuff.

but he knows her heart has no malice, no wrinkle, nothing but love for him.

and that love he can't live without.

so the man who had judged her upon seeing one sight and hearing one sentence from her and who couldn't bring himself to ask anything that night far away... just raved and then got over the paternity test like that.

he also forgave her for bringing shyam back... even though yes, he did get angry and held on to the anger a bit longer.

when you love and if you are smart, you know that love is important. keep that in perspective when you assess a thing.

however traumatic, however wrong, galat.

"iss pyaar mein sahi aur galat ka koi matlab nahin... bas ek cheez ka matlab hai ke mein hamesha hamesha tumse... "

what his heart (the wise one) had blurted out way back, now is absorbed in his being... matlab only that love has. hamesha hamehsa...

so, yes, ipk barun sanaya everyone's galat hurts and makes me gussa. but i am not standing at the terrace door... i am not new to this loving.

it's been a long time with ipk... a relationship not unsure and small.

this egregious act by all at ipk will be over. my gussa is already finding a shore and calming... it's not often that you find love you can't name. pyaar sabse bada indeed hota hai. oh i just missed la. 😃

got to love a show that can even dream of 😆 and actually get away with 👏 a la. hey asr, remember how good looking you were? try not to smile so much, okay. half si smile... that's when you give dhakdhak and khsuhi falls flat for rakshas. got it? (okay i am talking to nonexistent people again, all is well.)

Wonderfully articulated about that all worthy Pyaar... yes we have seen him making major compromises once he realized, like you rightly said, that her presence and love is what all matters to him..

They have taken it a bit too far way.. and if there were to be some interludes of little frustration and fit of rage characteristic of him, importantly, that Khushi's sanak is capable of inducing in him, it wouldn't have been as bad...that one moment of jaw clench .. mighty happy...becos he seem truly frustrated his efforts are not working...

He seems a pedestrian middle class husband dancing to his wife's tunes...

Oh yeah, would ber interesting to ask Khushi.. if she is enjoying this literally new bimaari called asr..becos he is no where near the one she fell in love with... 😆

oh yeah... La must be so e where really doing Oh lala.. to have broken up with him..😊

(aah.. it saddens me so much to ridicule asr/ ipk!!)

oh there's nothing about this asr or this jashn that i like. it is as bad as that paternity test... where jashn is khushi and i am asr 😃.

jashn is a low i'd never ever imagined.

but, yeah, that pyaar for ipk, that has been around long enough to overcome this pretty nasty problem. i will not get into the mu trap (i hope 😆)

honestly, indu.. how could they do this. and i am sure i have seen aman singh's picture during the ipk days... you are right, he was the stand in director and we all know he was never quite right.

look at the cost cutting by star. they just paid the actors for two days of shoot... and went for the lowest costing unit. the way fandom was played with... so taken for granted. bad. also my favourite actor... sad.

and really for me the biggest question has been... why did barun agree to this.

he did work like a maniac and create that whole persona of asr back in 2011 when he was not the hugely popular barun he is now. held onto it despite everything, all the terrible writing. these days he says he is interested in doing only a certain kind of work... and most of all i have always felt and said he is a fine actor.

then he does this.

ah well.

why did anyone do this. maybe seeing all the raving and ranting for ipk everywhere, the incessant emails, the open and unending love for sanaya and barun as a jodi, the arrogant and shoddy star lot thought, anything they put up with the two actors would get them the numbers they needed to demonstrate the reach of hotstar, its viability to advertisers.

that's star and its known underhand nature.

but barun and sanaya and everyone at ipk? they thought this was cool?

don't cry, don't weep. don't waste your tears on this rubbish. we have our mad bad crazily hot 398...

yeah... i know... how could barun do this. but he did. and let's see where that takes our minds now. for almost 4 years a belief in this young man i have never met or known, that is now shaken pretty badly.

not a smart move to take fans for granted.

its not Jashn. nothing to celebrate here. its a torture which we are enduring. its a closure which no IPK fan even dreamt of.

that's one of my favourite ipk actors there... so sharp and keen, believe she gets it hello hi bye byeing in the not so jashn too. deka padi.
