i don't know who is directing, but barun mentioned the team was the same as ipk... and somewhere there was mention of lalit mohan. but honsetly, this looks like banwari directed and lakshmi ji did make up. masala mama most likely wrote the script and babli and arav worked out the jokes. shyam definitely has run off with asr's make up man... imagine looking at barun and going ouch.

i feel like slaying someone really.

that suicide... in the first place, all wrong. but if you have written it in, don't make it into a cutesie thing for h's sake... and asr did have a thing about suicide... his mother killed herself... wonder if the writer remembers... oh i forgot, masala mama has the bimari of forgettiyaying.

honestly, the ridiculousness of this whole jashn thing. how dare anyone treat viewers and lovers of ipk so badly... but more, how can anyone butcher stuff they have been part of themselves and for so long?

terribly disappointed in barun. and of course, sanaya and the key makers.

That's the question I want to ask the actors. Like Indi di said, from star minus we should not expect anything.

But from the rest, a major let down is probably a very mild way of putting it. Ridiculous does not cover the whole thing.

I never liked that suicide thing in ipk in the first place and how they made khushi into this buffoon. Not the girl who decided enough was enough and gave it to the laad governor after the guest house. That girl had a dignity, called a spade a spade. And for ASR suicide was no laughing matter. I remember ipoona writing beautifully on his state of mind when observing her through the window doing that sholay soocide scene to get a smile on her jiji's face.

And now to turn it in to this?

Can't wait for this whole sorry mess to end. This is even worse than them starting that other serial with the same name.

P.S: Hello hi bye bye ! Am I glad that you have remained who you were in the original, the only bright spot. Someone who appreciated the character they played? Can't say the same for the others looking at this.

Hello guys!!

Hadn't time to watch Saturday's episode and I totally forgot it and watched today's one!! After reading the posts I went to watch it too!!

And... WHAT A WASTE!!! ASR making bhang?!!! ASR taking even suggestions from HP?!! ASR writing a card like a teenager full of hormones?!! And also with a neat writing?!!! As many said this is no more ASR or even Arnav! I so love Barun that I was quite blind at first but No More!

It's all bullshit and as many of you said that suicide thing even in the original was out of character for Khushi Kumari Gupta! And even then they put some funny music as it was a joke where as I was angry on them spoiling Khushi's character! And for God's sake his Maa committed suicide because his dad had an affair!! And Khushi was trying to do the same bcoz she thought she was comming in-between!!

But now seeing Arnav remembering that scene and with a smile! Frankly Barun should have known better... It was not something you see as funny! There is no need to see Khushi as crazy because she tried to commit suicide the Khushi I know would have gone far away or step aside and let ASR and La live happily... Like she did on Diwali!!

But I liked that Holi scene but it doesn't take away the whole anger!!

Coming to today's episode!! Glad Mami is still the same!!

Except for her saree which is too pale for Hello Hi Bye Bye walking rainbow!! But she stayed quite the same and I like that scene during the kidnapping track ... The way she just rushed to him!!

And that "I love you, Khushi" I know it was not really Arnav with the way he said and it felt quite weird but hearing just that husky voice saying it was

And that hut scene?!! It was better with the song but I like it too

You know what?!! I think I'm gonna rewatch those scenes and make my own Jashn!! It will be better

The whole fandom lived without it for a long time

If just they had told us that they would do this I would have been one of the people to beg them to not do that!!

Anyway only two episodes left seems like Khushi is coming in the next except if today's precap is the last minutes of the next episode ad she comes only on the last one!!

They have to understand that there is no IPK without Khushi and Arnav both on screen with Rabba Vee and that a pale copy of IPK won't satisfy us!!

(Sorry for taking all this out there but I had to! You are the ones to understand my frustration and sharing it! 🤗)

The only thing that did not change was the love of brother and sister. ASR was Arnav to his di pahele bhi aur abhi. 👍🏼 It was only di who could make him speak for more than 1 sentence and that too not WHAT THE. So that is one thing which continued. I actually enjoyed that episode with Anjali. I can easily imagine to see him mellowing down to di and reminiscing his past with di.

With that we got back the real IPK moments. 😳 ⭐️

Epi 5:

Seriously like SERIOUSLY 😲 😲 😲 Arnav talking about toasting bhaang🤪 Was that ASR or uske sar pe chadha 104 bukhaar 🥺

I must admit that I am one of the few Pagals to love his Salman dance! It was not really ASR-ish but I found it great to see him like that

But true, Jashn is pushing everything too far!!

No idea, really!! But I am kind of afraid to see Khushi now! Will she stay the same? Or be completely different!!

Like she said in the Promo she was "immersed in Laad Governor's love"

And we saw what Arnav meant by how he became crazy in Khsuhi!!

you came to find me... poor baby. i have been watching fairly stunned with a sick feeling growing ever since the first episode. whoever makes such a thing and calls it anything ipk.

and really for me the biggest question has been... why did barun agree to this.

he did work like a maniac and create that whole persona of asr back in 2011 when he was not the hugely popular barun he is now. held onto it despite everything, all the terrible writing. these days he says he is interested in doing only a certain kind of work... and most of all i have always felt and said he is a fine actor.

then he does this.

ah well.

why did anyone do this. maybe seeing all the raving and ranting for ipk everywhere, the incessant emails, the open and unending love for sanaya and barun as a jodi, the arrogant and shoddy star lot thought, anything they put up with the two actors would get them the numbers they needed to demonstrate the reach of hotstar, its viability to advertisers.

that's star and its known underhand nature.

but barun and sanaya and everyone at ipk? they thought this was cool?

don't cry, don't weep. don't waste your tears on this rubbish. we have our mad bad crazily hot 398...

yeah... i know... how could barun do this. but he did. and let's see where that takes our minds now. for almost 4 years a belief in this young man i have never met or known, that is now shaken pretty badly.

not a smart move to take fans for granted.

hi everyone,

read everything... kizh, kowsi, bhavi, ami, sohara, mou.

felt sad, felt mad.

wondering if there's any way in which we can clearly show our rejection of this utter nonsense.

i know some fans are still loving the whole thing and i don't blame them, we all love ipk and have done so for too long to even begin to imagine we are not liking what's being shown to us... after all it's asr and khushi, so ...

but that's the whole thing. this is not asr... that is not khushi. and where is it even remotely ipk?

even mami's saree (walking rainbow, nice one, kowsi) has been toned down. and di's saree? aaargh, what was that. and akash? is that him with the trying to be cool talk, and what's with the hair? and that there is definitely not hp.

so what are we watching anyway?

i really do wish though we could let the channel know this one was a total no go.

i am not planning to watch any more of this... okay, will see one round just to translate.

but not really get into it.

their must be a word in the english language that describes this whole thing... feels like a slap in the face of anyone who ever loved the show... a resounding one. and absolute insult.

i remember the terrible heartache of the last days of ipk. obviously i learned something back then... for this time the heart just will not engage and be beaten again.

one sad loss, perhaps a long term one... i just may actually get over the feelings i had for barun. i cherished him as an actor. was happy to fangurrl. never have i had such a space in my life for an actor, someone i didn't know... was delighted to act dopy and silly and crazy for him... thought he was worth all that and more.

bit of a pull back on that. let's see where it goes.

and i am hoping this fiasco will not leave any impact on my enjoyment of ipk... the only one.

IPK Ek Jasn-Episode 5-6

A Silver Lining...

Despite the fact the silver and red teenager jumbo sized heartfelt card in his hand,with a glossy shaped shades over his caramelized eyes, a pestle in his hand ...there was a silver lining I saw which made me to write this and that the last glimpse of his with clenching Jaws having the same anger knowing that she is leaving him for Lukhnow...even he didn't bother that she didn't care that he is fine or not ...well he found it that Mami is her agent and here for Khsuhi's sake nd our Mami ...muahhh didn't forget hello hi bye bye to become double agent or 007 Bond within her inbestigation for Arnav Babua and Phatti saree.

Mami...an Evergreen character. 😊

Her friendship with Khushi has a silver lining...and that brought an end of his doubts for his Khsuhi ,,,yes he never doubted her again even she brought Shyam back to Anjali...A Seduction which was brewing as an inebriation for a long long time couldn't resist to come out over Holi ...when two heartbeats became one ...the brewing confession came out when he was sent to the darkness that he might not be able to see her again...and that confession became a janoon to find each other and ...the same inebriation took over in one night in that hut ...where Two hearts felt the same heat inside to be one...

_and in this one glimpse he became tensed as that silver lining since morning to have Khushi right next to him ...in his arms on this 3rd Anniversary met with a dead end ...that she is going away from him...

yes and that is reminding that suicide fb was absolutely unnecessary ...just like those uncool glasses.

the very same way when she left Shantivan one morning on her Bday...

Yes Kuch Batain ...Badalti nahin...

[ don't you ever , ever put those specks again over your nose ASR...I am warning you 😔 you can keep the hearty card as it says Khsuhification on it...but no glsses Pleeejjj

Sohara, we are all in the same boat. IPK is ASR-Kh story. That is a fundamental truth which is safely forgotten with KH not in the picture for so long.If they do not have the resources to do regular episodes.. they could have just done 3/4 Asr- Kh scenes post their marriage.. like short drabbles... thats all what was missing in the original..

Jashn is unrecognizable...unimpressive.. banal at its best..It can't possibly be an extension to an exception like IPK!

Hi! Sorry to intrude, but I don't think Lalit Mohan is directing Jashn. I was reading his interview where he was asked if he is directing Jashn. He said he is not because he is busy directing his first movie. If you see "Arnav-Khushi three years later!" in hotstar it shows Aman Singh as the director. This guy was was directing ipk (original one) towards the end. I also saw his pictures on the Jashn set. Again sorry to intrude! Your thread is the only active discussion thread in ipk forum. So, I sometime come to the thread to read the comments and get some insights/feedback about Jashn. Thanks for the interesting discussions!
