that thing rhea said... boring. so true. how did they manage it? the man looking up at a building, sitting at his desk, coming down the steps (heck), driving a thunky suv, everything had us wanting to just loop it, even as we were passing out. and now two segments of only barun and we are complaining? we are even capable of thinking? of course, mano to the rescue, the skin haj the character 😆 and the inbhestigassun must be kareka padi-ed.
and goofy laughter apart, there's a sadness in the dil.
inbhestigassun note 1 (bhun): because of words like sarun and arshi floating in the world and because star plus is not exactly keen of perception, more a number and greed led lot, everyone thought if we put barun and sanaya on the screen, and claim we are bringing ipk back, that would do the trick.

trick it might do in the short run, but ipk was always more than just chemistry. always. as in hamesha.
in fact, when trp started going down, they made the same mistake and thought if we keep showing catch fall we'll be home... and utterly neglected story. we all know that didn't work.
true, the last 90 odd episodes were tolerated by me mainly because i wanted to see a couple of good moments from barun and sanaya. yes, i stayed on because of them... for asr and khushi, also because it had become part of my day by that time and we always hoped things would improve.
but one got hooked because of asr and khushi and pyaar and all that surrounded it. there was pretty neat writing, lovely direction, decent sets despite lack of funds, fabulous music... and a whole cast of wonderful actors who made every character believable, some shone so brightly in the mind... the big ones apart... happy ji... op... old cheek pinching mausi... priceless.
and that feel and tone of ipk.
there was more that made it the show we all went crazy for. at the heart of it was the pearl: asr khushi.. but the pearl had a mother (not mom)... that surrounded it, let it grow and helped it shine, and that was the rest of ipk. bad metaphor maybe, a bit stodgy like the current piece of work,
but aap samajh rahin hain na.
ah the dialogues. where is hitesh/ritesh team?
star plus really had no idea what made ipk, did it. had they even stuck to this low cost format but got a good writer in, and that feel of shantivan, this might have gone somewhere. like to me faintiyaing.
you know, if it was really only to get fans who love to see barun and sanaya together, might have been a better idea to do something totally different, wacky and fun and sexy with mainly the two of them... but with a solid story still. and not ipk... because ipk has inalienable traits, fingerprint, signature... and our scanners are recognising it's not clean, there's been forgery. kidnap hui gawa.
