I just rewatched the episode with the help of written update and here are some thoughts

At the beginning we got a glimpse of our old ASR with that annoyed look when Khushi cut the phone saying she won't ever come back

Seems like he let go many things with HP but not his plants

He is the one who can "understand" his plants (he can even hear them laughing!), the way he lowered his voice to talk about his plants "they were there since the beginning, they don't hurt anyone" Many crossed his path and many did hurt him in one or other way, even his mom by leaving him all alone...

But his plants, never!

He said that his "mom" also liked them, like he can feel her when he is with his plants and about calling her "mom" and not "Maa" like he used to...

Maybe it's a mistake in the script OR it's like he has finally let go of the past and started living in the present and it's showed by him calling her mom

He sounds like a little kid when calling her like that

He then said that he is the silent type and Khushi is the talkative one and that they balance each others. Kind of true "opposite attracts" No wonder that this modern business tycoon who wanted live-in relationship fell in love with a traditional Lucknowi girl

It's so sweet how he tries to not let Khushi down by having nothing to talk: it would be the eighth wonder that she even let him say one word! He who doesn't understand why people need to talk is the one who is actually narrating the story

It's kind of like Khushi when she tells everything to her DM

Even more blabbering when he remembers his Di with her NGO, seems like she has moved on; and Khushi's dad fully recovered and running again his shop

Seems like everyone is busy with their lives and that we missed many things in 3 years

Also he says that is always with him in office, at Shanthivan, at the Dargah, even in Car boot

She IS always with him, he who found peace in his garden found his everything with Khushi

His Di wished for him to find love but he also found his Khushi, kinf of 2 in 1

The most important part is the whole Mannat Ki Chabbi part not only in this episode but from the beginning

Remember? He dropped his key at the Dargah and he just told that it was his Di's Mannat so that he finds love in his life and it was Khushi who found the key at the Dargah

When she tried to give it back to him but he told her to throw it because at that time he doesn't believe in Love and he did that to see his sister smile

But Khushi, she kept it with her in Lucknow and brought it to Delhi

And she gave him the key when she left her job at Shanthivan because his Di's wish had been fulfilled Arnav was already in love

Also in Payal and Aakash's Sangeet when she claimed that his heart was always locked he smiled because he knew that she unlocked it a long time ago

The Ying and the Yang

Episode 2

I have noticed something about this episode...it is much harder for me to write because of the lack of English subtitles so I am dependent on a friend to translate...making it harder for me to write... but as I watch I notice something that hits me...the Ying and the Yang of Khushi and Arnav. Even though our Sanka Devi has only appeared through the phone or IPad, I feel her presence on set. I see how she has affected our Arnav Singh Raizada.

He has softened.

His hardness has been softened by living with Khushi for the last three years.

They bring us back reminiscent to IPK Season 1... at poolside with his plants...the tough, arrogant ASR watering plants.

How did we believe this?

The tycoon who ran AR Designs, with much anger and fierceness, who ran a tight ship, who didn't believe in God, who took revenge on his own Uncle and who was haunted by gunshots in the night was watering plants...and talking to himself...very pleasantly.

AND like Indi said he called his Maa, Mom...hmmm talking about softening...I picture the little boy in his gardening boots gardening with his mom, perhaps?

Cut to the chair scene and there he sits, side smirk...check!...pink balloons around...I see Khushi all over the place; his hardness smoothed over..ying/yang...opposites attract they say.

It is hard to swallow this new Arnav...but I guess this is what happens when you fall in love!

Everything that I believed ASR to be, has changed...I watched him become the man he is today...hard to watch but I ask myself didn't I want this to happen? Didn't I want him to be tamed? I don't think I do...I loved my angry ASR but I love LOVE more and like mentioned before me by Faiqa Di from IPK 1...love can reduce a man to do anything...

and it has.

The opposites attracted...

the Ying and the Yang have blended...

The ends are being tied up...we are wrapping up...

I think Khushi is winning at this point...😆

enjoyed reading your takes... both for one and two. lovely to see episode talk here after so long.

as to my writing. honestly, what i think of as writing vis a vis ipk, that i get a feeling i won't be doing this time.

it was great to see asr for a couple of minutes as i know him. and that is good.

i know it's a pain to watch without subtitles. i have translated the dialogues of epi 1, shall do 2 today... let's see if between kate and me we can subtitle the episodes.

Thanks Indi...I wind up calling Faiqa and she translates for me but it is still hard so much better when there r subtitles...
