Good catch arshihamesha and akkad! His look did seem thoughtful at that point.. There was a slight hesitation before shrugging it off.. And Anjali sounded so different. And calling him Arnav!!

And Indi I think so too.. That Barun and Sanaya were Asr and Khushi right from the first moment you see them..Barun's expressions when Khushi falls in his arms and in the arziyan song were breathtaking... Time stood still for me.. Even Sanaya looked flawless in White.

This Anjali was so much more fun to watch.. Remember her count down during Payash's wedding ?

suchitra sen has just passed away.

beautiful woman and actor. held her own no matter what. cliches like era and stuff going through my mind.

i remember dharmendra saying she was the most beautiful of all.

uttam suchitra. my mother adored them.

@bold, i could watch barun's face and that loping walk forever as arziyaan rang n the air. that was my primary comment on the blast thread after watching episode 3 or was it 4?

in episode 1, anjali calls him arnav... chhotey made an appearance later in 10 or 11 or after.

i liked the way she called him arnav too.

learned by hit and miss, and a bit of help from friends. 😆.

look for pixlr.com, it's a site where you can edit pictures. this was done on pixlr editor (there is also pixlr express which is more basic).

i made caps from the episode. then used the "layers" option to put pictures on each other. used the eraser to erase bits of the shots i did not want. made the visual in front larger. flattened the image. reduced colour to black and white. cropped. then i essentially played with contrast and brightness under the "curves" option and took it to a place i liked.

added back colour with "colour balance".

i know this is confusing.

but once you start, you figure things out along the way.

i am not very good at it or anything, just love to push those buttons. 😃

Are you guys watching Rang Rasiya?

It's a good show. The plot is innovative. the direction is excellent. The set is awesome, BG score is marvelous. And all the actors are brilliant. It's no less than a wonderfuly made movie.

Sanaya is outstanding. She is making me spell bound with her brilliant acting. Really, never saw such powerful actress in TV before. But unfortunately the show's TRP is low. I'm feeling so sad for her. What's wrong with this TRP aunties? How long they will watch all saas-bahu rona-dhona, ghisa-pita stories. India has developed so much, but why this TV audience can't change their mentality. in spite of being the best show, IPK always struggled with this TRP thing.

Feeling so sad for my barbie doll.😭

hi sohara,

i saw a couple of episodes of rang rasiya as they was so much publicity. but it's not at all my kind of show. so i stopped. trp is not easy to understand... ipk was also killed seeking trp. but don't worry, this is just the beginning... they might be able to fix things and get audiences in. mass media is all about choice... i am not a serial type but almost 80 per cent of my land is i think... ipk taught me there's no accounting for tastes and people watch what they want to... no one can force me... or them.

if i am to take a very objective view, i have a feeling, the excessive violence and feeling of angst plus the slightly stated sexual overtones of the serial is not working for the larger audiences. on a daily basis it can get a bit much.

also rarely do tv viewers come for the acting... it's the story... if that gels, they stay on... and characters. they need to identify just as i did with asr. and to some extent khushi and nani ji... and how can i forget, mami ji.

sanaya's acting abilities we know of, but i don't think the show has asked for much of that... yet.

let's hope things improve... and if you like it... enjoy, sir ji, enjoy.

Not good times for friends, families and fans of renowned actors. A few weeks back we lost Farooq Shaikh, a down to earth actor, well known for his good nature.

Earlier this week, we lost the legendary South Indian actress of yesteryears, Anjali Devi who was renowned for her powerful acting in various mythological and social movies.

Now, we lose Suchitra Sen. A beautiful actress. I haven't seen many movies of her, but the few were enough for her to leave a mark.

Sohara, agree it has a movie setting. Acting is quite good. And Sanaya is mindblowing (felt bad though that she had to do so many crying scenes). But, somehow I am not compelled to watch the episode more than once. Something missing in the story narration. I can already spot some loopholes. But it is different from other current shows, hence worth a watch.

Why no trp? Well, to start with myself, I don't watch it at 9.30 pm. I catch it at one of the repeat timings. Like Indi mentioned, violence has been on right from the first episode. The killing of a bus load of people must have put many off. The hero is no doodh ka dhula, he has women in his life. That must have put some more off.

Our trp audience are used to watch shows where the leads are good, very good people. And even if they have any past it is because of circumstances beyond their control, haalaaton se majboor.

RR may get critical acclaim, but trps, I doubt. But I surely wish SI gets an award atleast this time.
