just look at that expression.

and of course music comes tumbling in just like jill. it rejoices with its pure happy notes... ting ting ting ting hey hey.

you got to love this man loving that woman.

Went back to watch the episode before getting here... i'm in major slow mo these days trying to avoid moving forward as much as possible. Anyway. It's very hard to read or write frankly after you've just seen the epi. So please to excuse typos, blurry thoughts and a crazed gaze at these pictures you should NOT have picked and posted.😆 The opening scene of dhak dhaks and realizations is sublime. He makes it so. And i've always liked her in night clothes and open hair, walking that verandah with the dupattas and saris hanging outside to add softness and color to Khushi's thoughts amidst gentle whispers of breeze. Lakshmi Nagar, btw, is a real place in dilli land about ten mins from the yamuna...the beginnings of east delhi or the " jamna paar ilaaqa" as it's commonly called...a place most perfectly cast to play buaji's home, much like most other details in this show. And i have to say it's simplicity of life and clothing suits her much more than those velvetiyas and bouffants which are about to make an overstretched appearance post marriage. I'm digressing now. Back to the opening scene. Wonderful, your thoughts on when the penny drops in life, in all things big.

it usually happens in the oddest of places, at least that's what i've found. the major realisations of our lives, the big ones, that define us, how unexpected is the way they come, and the place and moment when things hit you.👏👏

the writers' and director's instincts here are unerring. and as usual the actor raises it to the level of breathtaking.

👏👏 An extraordinary loopworthy moment from the file to the window. Simply amazing, the way he feels the heart and it's thump. You do have a heart Mr. Raizada, believe it or not. We've known it all along...

Little Prince indeed, Indus. That look. Innocent, unaffected, disarming, pure...as he looks around the house...do i have words to express how it makes me feel? I don't. I love what you say about loving a man who loves a woman so. That's really at the heart of everything going on here, ain't it?
Seeing her doing her thing with the "halwaais", as these shaadi cooks are mostly called around these parts, is heart warming. I adore a girl who dives straight in, whatever the task. And this is homeground for Khushiji. Love how she goes about instructing in her finery...and the touch of the casual in that bun her hair is tied into. The way he looks at her. Who wouldn't fall in love with a girl like that...but the Raizada...his look speaks of love, but it's also marked with pride. That's my girl, it seems to say. My girl. My choice. My life. The scene that follows is pure gold. The exchange, the music, the look in their eyes...heartachingly beautiful...cos that moment, it is getting closer and closer and this man is about to suffer after all this loveliness of depth and feeling. Aah.
The ghobi cooking in the kadhai, the cow in close up, the truckload of pattals...delightful little touches, and i totally agree, they offset the intensity rather deftly...much needed too...cos that intercut with a dubbed Rani Sahiba and her petty prickly Patidev ain't cutting the mustard!

Loved reading. Only for your writing did i go back and watch. I can't bear the beauty otherwise knowing where this day is headed from here.

Thanks! Loved much!

So empowering, haunting and beautiful. A marriage in seclusion witnessed only by the divine and the elements. Sacred it was, shattered only to mend.

issk,

thanks for reading 181, and saying you liked. i can still see awful typos in it, uff my bad typing.

many apologies, my dear dilliwali for relegating lakshmi nagar to myth land. will correct that on the take pronto... did think for a second in the plethora of nagars including one called kirti there must be lakshmi ji too, but never checked. jamna paar, well it was trans jamuna ramprasth where i went to attend shadi recently, i should have known.

and yes that ranisahiba dubbed voice scene was from outer space i couldn't fit it into any thought anywhere.

wonderful writing on the loop boy and the love of his life.

he did indeed look like another man, freshness just purchased from some nearby heaven or something and oooph that light in his eyes and that smile when he spotted her. devotion and wonder there... curiously and gorgeously, no carnal/sensual desire in the eyes though. he was looking at the girl who makes his heart work and stop... his exhale-on-the-"kh"-khushi. i do hope somewhere sometime in my life someone looked at me like that... it was really that kind of look.

the connection/realisation and the walk, that's all i really saw in this episode.

shyam is curiously unimportant despite his massive impact on the story... and this is not only because i know what happened, somehow he never did have the scale.

was that week acting or week characterisation i could never tell. or was barun's asr just too big to take one eyes and mind of; me looking at him and permanently walking that verandah walk in an endless loop.

the boisterous bua is a scream and a blessing, makes lakshmi nagar real and coming as i do from cacophonous kalkatta family bauhut saare aunties like this is the norm, she makes me feel at home, as does mami ji. oh there are plenty like her too ha ha thankfully in our lives.

true, there was something real and non-set about the halwaais scene and a cow in the scenario was so very natural. i love those huge utensils and the open fire cooking... every shadi that i can recall used to have that, especially for the daily cooking during the festivities... in the old days, mithai actually got made at home and old great aunties, one i particularly remember who was widowed young and wore only white, shaved her head, would go around feeding us of all freshly made kamalabhogs or rasgullas...

sir, i am totally in agreement... sanaya looked lovely in her night thingies with hair open, and the casual bun was a delight, i loved her too in her jhalli khushi pom pom dhari look... those mojris, that tedha choti, nice. but since in dunia of patriarchy women have to change the moment they marry, so she had to let herself go and become tent baba while poor payal had to don the bland monotone saree with zaree border, the staple of all serials, maybe otherwise it was getting difficult to recognise ipk as a regular soap... too hatke. and daljeet really upset the masses by deciding to fund her own wardrobe and look normal. i think that bought her own clothes rumour is true, though not sure.

and what was that whole buffaunt bump hair open thing? there's a fine line between strange and bizarre. to take your rather good looking extremely popular lead across that line and trying hard to make her look more and more what the... pardon me if i think suspect shyam like intentions...

we got saddled with malmal factory, nearly 200 hundred episodes of it... almost did me in. thankfully the night suits were there to save us... the biggest blow was to her footwear, from cool mojri to behenji chappal.

have i rambled enough? please go slow with me... tomorrow he is going to be waiter ji, aaah.

durga and supriya nad i have been tinking of a longish break after 200, i have feeling everyone needs it. this should not become achore... rather soimething to rush to at the end of a day in the ever busy world of hours. what say.

see you, and hugs to the children, hope they are bright as button ney soon.

wonderful, anita,

i think we will take a bit of a break after episode 200, we can all use that time to finish what we wish to.

i know crunching is a problem... but sometimes i just do it in desperation. i have about 20 episodes from the 150s and 160s and even earlier that i'd like to do... have started looking at thsi whole thing as something to leave behind for my only daughter... her mother's madness and the proof of it. seriously planning to get a website or something and put it all up. that way... she wil never have to miss me.

school, exams... give me fever (translating bong turn of phrase literally) to even think how one managed to go through it. but must say, i did enjoy the lunacy of those days too. but if i had to add in a major love for a show along with daily takes... hmmm very tough.

i do appreciate hugely the effort sohara, soni, supriya, and you make... all studying hard at the same time. our sass girls, ha.

take care. see you with many (((((()))))) wednesday onward.

and remember you'd once said you may write the opening lines or something for the main post? want to give it a try at some point?

Crunching is hard because i have the hardest time figuring out what is important and what is not...to me everything is important...

I remember about the opening lines or the main post...i was waiting for you to ask me again...i could do it around the end of november or december for sure...i will be free as a bird then
