Anjali scolds Arnav for his irresponsibility regardless his unawareness of the condition "it doesn't matter, you shouldn't have sent her there in the first place!" throwing salt on Arnav's wound of guilt. "tum usse utna pareshaan kyu kar rahe ho? tumhe to kisi chees se farq nahi padta na? to phir Kushi ne aisa kya k.."

❤️Arnav's interruption and the way he blurts out "pata nahi kya kiya hai"

lingers a moment in her thought

and a quick "aisi baat nahi hai" (its not like that)... he felt like he had to clarify 😆.

Anjalis reminds him that his ASR mask doesn't work on her, She know he is feeling guilty and advises him again to forget the past and move on as it keeps him from showing his feelings. "jo tumhare dil mein had vo tumhare chahere par kyu nahi hai?"

❤️ the way he answers "behosh thi" and "puchha nahi" with sheer concern on his face

Payal's outburst on the phone wasn't fair but necessary and realistic. Her little sister almost died...Deepali was great!

FAVORITE part was when Arnav secretly listens to Anjali's phone call to find out if Khushi's ok.❤️ ❤️❤️ ..and then pretending like he doesn't care "maine puchha nahi" (i didn't ask)

Anjali replies "i know you didn't ask, but your eyes were asking me"

"damn these expressive chocolate beauties!"

"khushi ab teek hai"(Khushi is ok now)

Arnav's relief is visible, but its the beginning of "mujhe koi farq nahai padta"S ...the line that added so much passion to a lover's denial

Payal takes Khushi to sleep, but Khushi is feeling scared, of Arnav? no he saved her TWICE. she keeps fashing back to those moments, he has her by the wrist and is looking at her...I think she is scared of what feelings may come for this "laad governer"

Shashi's performance as a concerned father not being able to be with his daughter was AWESOME!

Aakash asks ASR " you look tired didn't you get any sleep?"

Arnav's flashback to KHushi...she got in his sleep too😉

"mein hamesha aise hi to raheta hu Righ? (i'm always like this right?)

Akash is like "was i supposed to answer "yes" to that?" [so mr.ASR, you are a lot of things but an insomniac is not one of them!!!]

Naani's plan backfires when Arnav errr ASR is painfully honest and direct with family that she chose for him to marry into...he informed the family that he doesn't want to waste their daughter's time or his time as he has not intentions of marrying her.😆 Naani embarrassed and furious, asks him "are these the values i raised you with?"

Love how ASR turns the tables on her and leaves her speechless :)

"I'm sorry Naani, but i don't think i'm doing anything wrong...par aap hi ne sikhaya na naani, ki khuchh galat mat karna? aap hi ne sikhaya na ki har bada faisla insaan ko khud karna chahiye? aur yeh meri zindagi hai naani, [he reiterate something he said before] I can ask your opinion but will make my own decisions...to iss baare mein please, aap meri baat maan lijiya (so please accept my decision about this matter)...he didn't disrespect her but he stood firm on his beliefs and pointed out to her that sometimes elders can be selective about their own teaching...LOVE ASR!!!

Khushi all ready for the day and looking pretty in a peacock green and purple dress, talking to herself "pehli baar aisa hua hai ki hum raat bhar so nahi paaye..." Sleepless Khushi, Sleepless Arnav, both sleepless in Diehli...the only difference is Khushi admits it to herself and asks her DM "aakhir app chahti kya hai? (what you want DM)" She know at some level DM is working out a plan for her...

Shyaam reveals a tiny layer of his mystery when he says to Khushi "zindagi mein hum khucch aisi ghalatiyaan kar baith te jinne hum kitni bhi koshish kar le, baad mein sudhaar nahi sakte" hmmm a mistake he can not retract wonder what it is.

Payal is adament about Khushi not going back to work, love the depiction of a torn Khushi. and Sanaya was marvelous!!

She doesn't want to disappoint Payal, she also thinks about the contract and IMO a fairly big part of her doesn't like the idea of leaving that place...leaving him maybe?

the man that saved her life twice risking his own...but how can she say this to anyone? "jiji, tumhe kya lagta hai? that i WANT to see that rakshash? everyone will think i lost and quit" and "par humne vo contrac sign"are some of things she says and while they are true, I think at this pt she might be using the contract as an excuse to hang around AR industries, not because she is in love with Arnav (yet) but she knows there is more to him and is intrigued. I believe she was ready to go to work until Payal used emotional black mail "if you love me, then you wont"

Khushi's tells payal that she will go in to hand in her resignation as she worked there with her head held high and will leave with her head held high"...great words to hear from this woman, but glimpses of something within Khushi that's making her sad every time payal, Buaji or Shyam advise quitting

Maami's obsession with a "high-class daaater-in-laa" is clearified, she was tortured as a lower-class bahu so getting a "high-class" girl would raid her status (?) [just a side note here, Naani's dislike for maami stemmed from the fact that she seems like a gold-digger, Naani was all for Payal and Khushi even though they were middle-class. I hate the way they show maami with Payal initially]

Anjali's advise to Akaash about the importance of a partner with a clean heart and using her husband example is heartbreaking to watch after knowing the truth.

I understand better now why she was willing to believe her husband over Khushi and NK...she was the one with a clean heart and her husband took her for granted. She wasn't stupid, but just unwilling to accept that the man she loved with all of her clean heart can do this to her...sadly she was the gardener and shyaam was the flower that only took and took. It would've been so nice to see her move on and find true love, the "saansen ruk jaayengi" love much like her brother found in Khushi. She believed in it so much :(

right at the end of the episode he came and stood at the head of those interesting rm stairs. the essential arnav singh raizada. dashing, handsome, authoritative, impeccably turned out, exuding charisma and power, legs planted wide apart, taking stock of the situation. there's no doubt who will take command out here. i melted. complete puddle. even without his music, i could hear it playing, cool and luxurious, heat and power at its core.


yet, just a minute before that, he wasn't so much in control. in fact, akash commented, he wasn't his usual self. what was the matter? hadn't bhai slept last night? what's akash to know of what asr went through the night before. quickly, he gathered himself and shot back, drawing energy into himself, "main hamesha aise hi to tha..." a heartbreaking neat turn of head and, "nahin?"

sorry arnav singh raizada you were not like this hamesha. because now, to develop a theme as logically as you developed with nani later in 31, now you are not who you used to be. someone has broken into your carefully erected fort faraq nahin padta and look how clearly faraq padta hai.

how peculiarly alike asr and khushi are, i thought. both are immersed in the thoughts of the other, yet neither knows why. one doesn't want to know and the other in her wildest wouldn't have guessed; in fact months later, she would diagnose the cause as gas, dhak dhak. in its delightful light way of handling things ipk had a way of slipping in great insights and truths about human nature.


he's worried sick about khushi, and when anjali confronts him with his follies, his complete error in sending her to the guesthouse, he's without any convincing argument. asr? anjali hits the nail on the jalebi, "tum usse itna pareshan kyon kar rahe ho? tumhe toh kissi cheez se faraq nahin padta,na? toh khushi ne aisa kya kiya-?" before she can finish, he cuts in hassled, lost, "pata nahin kya kiya, di?" so he does admit he's getting after her for something she's done? hmm. quickly realising that was not what he should have said,it might be an acceptance of something there or a probing he wasn't ready for, he brushes aside, "aisa kuch nahin hai."

anjali isn't one to give in. after a very interesting conversation about the past, where he reiterates that he is not letting that colour his present, and he is writing his own kismet, we come to a lovely scene. he will not admit he worries for khushi. how troubled he sounded when di asked him how was khushi when he left, and he said, "behonsh."

of course, straight after that denying he needs to know her condition. anjali has had it. "tumhe faraq padta hai," she insists. instinctively he looks at his hand, the wound. he remembers. and when she calls, he pretends not to care, while turning to hear the news from a safe spot behind her back. and then quickly resumes fort faraq nahin padta air the moment she puts the phone down. you'll be glad to know she's fine. "maine poocha hi nahin, " but your eyes asked, smashes back di. good girl. but, win he will, "mujhe faraq nahin padta." yet he's thinking of the guesthouse. curiously gentle, yet intense sequence, says much about family, ties, elder sisters, relations, and of course, pyaar. barun and daljeet vibed beautifully, and saved the scene from becoming too cute. the asr thing never left, but interestingly the man in command wasn't sounding so sure of himself. interesting, a situation in which the debonair tycoon is a tad out of his depth.


her head is full of thoughts and images of hims. to drive the devil away, she is making the himalayan range of jalebis. if he has fort faraq nahin padta, she has her castle jalebi. there she sits, frantically frying, dipping, and munching away, trying to get some equilibrium. trying to get "apne gussa pe qaboo." so she too has her gussa, it was good to know.


there anjali, the trusted sister was trying to help her brother calm down. here, shyam, anjali's trusted husband is fluttering around khushi, completely forgetting himself and the boundaries of ties. the episode design and screen play had an enjoyable tension, and cheekiness to it, as though creatives were keen on really crafting and honing each aspect of the production. give it a polished unity and finesse.

anjali made a phonecall. shyam broke a jalebi in two. both achieved what they set out to do. bring someone important to a better frame of mind. shyam's little game with the whirls was sharp, even more because the most coiled of them all was explaining how to simplify things by unraveling the swirls.
khushi went to bed, but her worries and the images of that man wouldn't leave her. would khushi get sleep tonight?

weather phorecasht from mamiji. post anjali's chat with nani re chhotey's marriage, and nani's angry walk out with the promise of getting things done her way, wait and see (oh asr's nani she is alright), mamiji opines in muhavra mode: toophaan ke pahele ka silencewa hai...


moving on to episode 31.



asr came down those stairs and took charge. he told his prospective in-laws to leave with their daughter, he would not be speaking with her. his logic was simple, direct, compelling, you had to feel a certain empathy with him. sometimes elders can land us in really troublesome spots. nani wasn't wrong, just that in her love, her concern, her worry regarding love marriages (mamiji's hint giving, "repeat telecasht"), and her complete inability to get through to her respectful but individualistic grandson, she thought presenting an alternative might work. ok, i'm being nice because i like the old lady, she wanted to get her own way but, out of love.

unlike last night, in this matter asr was completely sure of himself.

after all, his dil was not in the picture, his dimaag ticked, and using nani's own words and teachings he logically showed her that what he did was right. because nani had taught them never to do galat, and this was not the way to take such a decision. this concerned his life, he would take advice, "par main karoonga wahi jo main chahta hoon." a character got more and more clearly etched, and the plot was moved toward the inevitable, a real clash over lavanya.

this time, the music did play, and he walked out, elegant and exciting, a man almost recoverec from a bad night.

and khushi? well she also hadn't slept last night. unlike asr, she was openly grumbling about it. nothing to hide. just a man to hate and feel confused about.


but today, everyone was after her to get that man out of her life. no, no more office, decided payal. the protective, loving, empathetic elder sister, payal is becoming a woman to reckon with. deepali pansare was lovely in these episodes. good looking, smart, emotionally rich. as the gentle kind akash, a perfect foil to his towering cousin, fell in love with her, it was nice to watch and again in terms of design, a great counterpoint to this indescribale love brewing.

but khushi remembered the deal and demurred. she couldn't walk away. however, by the end of episode, payal's love and commitment got through to her. she promised to go to office for one last time. to give her resignation.


khushi looked beautiful today. who'd have guessed madam hadn't slept at all.

noticed a clever mirror imaging in dialogue. ipk often plays with reflections. here it was with words. the philandering shyam said, "humey toh tabhi chain aayega jab..." then noticing everyone's expression he switched to, "... matlab hum sabko."

his faithful wife who believes in "safi" as the most important trait of a life partner, said while speaking of her wonderful husband, "kyonki sab jaantey hain ki yeh sabse..." she paused and shyly corrected, "humse kitna pyaar karte hain."

also, both presented their object of affection with khana to make things better. food is so important to our way of showing love and a whole lot of care isn't it?

at this point, we are not to know these two are married to each other. only later would we connect. nice. but we wouldn't remember all this in just one viewing surely. uh huh we were meant to watch it many many times too. maybe that's the "repeat telecasht" mamiji really wanted to hintiya at us.

Courage and a Sister's Love

Courage permits one to face extreme dangers and difficulties without fear

GH- Buaji praises our fearless Kushi for her decision to resign, giving her some words of encouragement, and reminds her to come back fast making sure he does not think she is inferior or he thinks has gotten the best of her!👍🏼 Shyam gives her blessings and the offering and a morsel has been left behind on her mouth. He indicates that she has a bit on her and we can see how he wants to touch her and remove that morsel of food by those luscious lips,😳 but thank God he does not! She finally removes the morsel from the corner of her mouth. Phew! He wishes her good luck and may" DM be with you!" 👏 The Goddess is with her all right between Her and Payal they have instilled courage into our little Goddess!!! 😃 She realizes she has not written her resignation and sits down to write it. Payal comes and is worried you can see it all over her face. She hugs Kushi. ❤️ Kushi with all her courage says to Payal, not to worry. She has been through tumbled walls and everything else this man has put her through so she can do anything she puts her mind to. She can do it!👏 If the demon wants to fight, so be it, we will fight!🤢 I am ready! Payal still worried tells Kushi that since she signed that contract she has not had a fitful night's sleep🥱 and what if something really happened to her? Our little Payal so fretful and our courageous Kushi tells her so get ready to sleep peacefully from now on! She has all the confidence in the world. Her sister's love❤️ has given her the courage and fortitude to do what she has to do'facing the demon of her dreams and life!😈

Payal continues with let's return to Lucknow and our parents, we miss them so much. We only came here because of THAT man and if it wasn't for what HE did we wouldn't be here. None of this would have happened. A now there is a little word called FATE! Kushi replies to Payal with," Delhi is not so bad" She reminds her of the dupatta she received on her birthday and if they weren't there she would never have gotten it ( and of course her future husband!) and Kushi would never received praises from Buaji if they weren't there! " I miss our parents but YOU are with me!" A sister's love ❤️greater than anything! They hug and a worried looks crosses Kushi's face but she gains strength and courage from her sister's hug.🤗 A sister's love knows how to worry for you, knows how to love you totally, knows how to give you courage and strength and knows how to always be with you representing your entire family.⭐️

ASR Designs- The demon walks in.😈 Everyone stops what they are doing. It is amazing the powerful energy this man projects. Everyone can sense his mood. He hears laughter😆 coming from Lavanya's office and he interrupts the Three Stooges (as I call them). A nervous La says, "Oh, hi!" He snaps,😡 "are you paid to laugh at employees?" They run off. He is ALL business now. He asks La if she has finished the Calendar and she timidly replies she is working on it and she can handle it. He turns to leave and she possessively caresses him and asks if Nani said anything about her. He😡 answers smartly, "I RECTIFIED the mistake you made by not telling me that you were going to meet her." She asks him, "Rectified?" He 😡storms off and Lavanya mumbles under her breath some negative things about "Chamkili". He😡 hears, takes offense for Kushi's sake and becomes her Champion.⭐️ He masters all his courage and says she has a name it's KUSHI KUMARI GUPTA'(Singh Raizada'I just wanted to say that!!!), and everyone should use it!👍🏼

OMG, she is sooo angry and maybe even jealous!!! How dare she? She has been scolded because of HER! If she comes in front of her now beware!...and in walks our KUSHI KUMARI GUPTA!

As Kushi walks in to the office the guesthouse incident flashes before her eyes. She closes her eyes (an ASR thing to do, blood intermingled, you know), gathers her courage and walks in ready to face her demon.

Meanwhile ASR receives a call while in his office. He stops and turns suddenly to leave. Something has happened and he rushes to leave.

For some reason call it Fate or Goddess they are not to meet right then so they pass each other through a cute little scene. He leaves and she runs into the Three Stooges in the Caf. They are trying to calm down Lavanya with a cup of coffee. They see Kushi and La becomes Miss Sarcastic. She asks her where she was all day yesterday and is this time you come into work? Kushi dismisses her! 👏 Where is ASR? A jealous Lavanya asks, "WHAT?" Our courageous Goddess says ,"YOU told me nothing is repeated twice here, but I will ask again, WHERE IS ASR?" La responds with, "Why, you want to quit?" With a deep courageous breath she says YES! The Stooges all excited and with their ammunition loaded and guns blazing they start.😆

"SO'ULTIMATELY YOU HAVE GIVEN UP? YOU SAID, LUCKNOW PEOPLE DON'T GIVE UP AND TODAY YOU ARE RUNNING AWAY'.

Our Courageous, Fearless Tigress, Undaunting Goddess Kushi starts'.😉

" I AM FROM LUCKNOW THEREFORE I DO NOT RUN AWAY IN FEAR. I CAME TO SAY THIS JOB IS NOT OF MY MERIT! I WAS TAUGHT TO DO THINGS RIGHT WITH GREAT RESPECT. THE DIFFERENCE IS THAT IT MAKES NO SENSE TO TELL YOU THAT! ONLY THOSE WITH THEIR OWN IDENTITY AND SELF ESTEEM UNDERSTAND, AND (remember this Kushi when you got to compete for Mrs. India), YOU ALL SPEND YOUR TIME IMITATING HER (LA)."👏

The other Stooge admonishes Kushi and she shoots right back at her, " I KNOW WHO I AM AND AM VERY HAPPY BUT DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE? IF YOU DID YOU WOULD NOT BE HIDING YOUR IDENTITY OR YOUR NECKLACE. SHOW WHAT IS IN YOUR HEART AND THEN YOU WOULD KNOW WHO YOU ARE AND WHO I AM!"😆👏

La says its enough. She doesn't want o hear anymore. She will take the resignation, ASR went home and anyway you don't say anything when he is around but now you say much. Kushi says she will only hand the resignation to the one who signed the contract. He started the game and now she will end it! "Really? " La responds , "why don't you say you just lost." Kushi looks at the score board and replies, that life isn't about winning and losing and if you think it is you are sorely misunderstanding. She agreed to the terms and keep into their world but win or lose has no value to her. Before leaving she turns around and says to Lavanya, " Come to Lucknow and I will teach you how to live a dignified life!" (Funny because we will see her do just that in future episodes). She gets the thumbs up and leaves with her head held high! Go, Kushi, go!!!👍🏼

RM- Anjali is in bed after a fainting spell with everyone around in her room, including the doctor. ASR walks into the room and Chote sits on the bed! This man never ceases to amaze me, his concern for his sister riddled all over his face. How he goes changes form is incredible. Brilliant acting, brilliant character!! He asks what happened and of course she was fasting and while preparing his "continental" food (soup) he saw black and fainted. He says that she needs to stop fasting that she has done enough drink something for him and what would her husband think if he knew that he was not taking proper care of her. Nani agrees with that but chimes in with that His taste has changed as he has grown up not just for food but for girls. (He doesn't have traditional ideas but contemporary ones.) He stops her with he isn't talking about his topic until his sister is better. Everyone leaves in a huff. Akash does call mamiji and asks if Di is ok. ASR asks his sister why does Nani always bring the subject up? And Di replies with that she loves you and cares about you but you don't talk very nice to her. She feels bad and starts to tear up, this hits the bulls eye of Chote's heart.💔 She says she doesn't know how to handle the situation. He is angry😡, Nani is angry😡 but maybe if their parents were there they could handle what she cannot. With tears rolling down her face and all the love she has in her heart ❤️she says she can't do it, she doesn't know what to do to handle this. He is touched deeply. He wipes the tears from her face. He reaches for her hands and clasps them within his and says to her that there is not a day when he doesn't miss their parents💔 but she is his family. She is everything to him and he cannot stand to see her in tears. He will fight the whole world for her and cross all limits for her happiness. (A premonition of what is to come!)

It is a sister's love❤️ that encourages both Kushi and Arnav, pushing them to their limits to do what they must do for themselves and their families .A sister's love is the driving force behind these two and we will see how this force drive the story lines in the future!

Khushi all ready for the day and looking pretty in a peacock green and purple dress, talking to herself "pehli baar aisa hua hai ki hum raat bhar so nahi paaye..." Sleepless Khushi, Sleepless Arnav, both sleepless in Diehli...the only difference is Khushi admits it to herself and asks her DM "aakhir app chahti kya hai? (what you want DM)" She know at some level DM is working out a plan for her...

Shyaam reveals a tiny layer of his mystery when he says to Khushi "zindagi mein hum khucch aisi ghalatiyaan kar baith te jinne hum kitni bhi koshish kar le, baad mein sudhaar nahi sakte" hmmm a mistake he can not retract wonder what it is.

Payal is adament about Khushi not going back to work, love the depiction of a torn Khushi. and Sanaya was marvelous!!

She doesn't want to disappoint Payal, she also thinks about the contract and IMO a fairly big part of her doesn't like the idea of leaving that place...leaving him maybe?

the man that saved her life twice risking his own...but how can she say this to anyone? "jiji, tumhe kya lagta hai? that i WANT to see that rakshash? everyone will think i lost and quit" and "par humne vo contrac sign"are some of things she says and while they are true, I think at this pt she might be using the contract as an excuse to hang around AR industries, not because she is in love with Arnav (yet) but she knows there is more to him and is intrigued. I believe she was ready to go to work until Payal used emotional black mail "if you love me, then you wont"

Khushi's tells payal that she will go in to hand in her resignation as she worked there with her head held high and will leave with her head held high"...great words to hear from this woman, but glimpses of something within Khushi that's making her sad every time payal, Buaji or Shyam advise quitting

Maami's obsession with a "high-class daaater-in-laa" is clearified, she was tortured as a lower-class bahu so getting a "high-class" girl would raid her status (?) [just a side note here, Naani's dislike for maami stemmed from the fact that she seems like a gold-digger, Naani was all for Payal and Khushi even though they were middle-class. I hate the way they show maami with Payal initially]

Anjali's advise to Akaash about the importance of a partner with a clean heart and using her husband example is heartbreaking to watch after knowing the truth.

I understand better now why she was willing to believe her husband over Khushi and NK...she was the one with a clean heart and her husband took her for granted. She wasn't stupid, but just unwilling to accept that the man she loved with all of her clean heart can do this to her...sadly she was the gardener and shyaam was the flower that only took and took. It would've been so nice to see her move on and find true love, the "saansen ruk jaayengi" love much like her brother found in Khushi. She believed in it so much :(
