Suspicious Mind - Fantastic Daily Episode: pg 34

NK is very restless and worried to the extreme. As he talks to himself, he paces around, "Uff oh! Where have Nannav and Khushi ji gone now? Nannav has forgotten his phone at home. And mind you, NK! Mind you!" NK tells himself in a detective's style, "Nannav never forgets his phone at home!" then desperately he says, "And Khushi ji.. Khushi ji is not even picking up her calls! Now what should I do? What to do? Where might have they gone? Where? Oh my God! .. I am so nervous!" He sits down on the sofa, "What if.. what if those kidnappers have kidnapped Nannav.. my bro .. and Khushi ji? For revenge?"

Nani ji and Anjali hear NK as they come down the stairs. "Revenge? What revenge, NK Bhai?" Anjali asks. NK immediately gets up. As he walks up to Anjali and Nani ji, Payal and Manorama join them as well in the lounge area. "Di, ... I was.. revenge.. not the revenge to get back.. " NK struggles to make something up, "The one that gives back.. you know! The revenge, one that gives back! I was thinking, . you guys give me so much love.... Lots of love..then what should I give back to you? You know! That revenge!.. Yea, that's what I was thinking! Exactly!... Exactly, ya!" NK feels relieved at his own effort. "Oh ho! Then get me a saree, a necklace, and a movie... every week, " Manorama suggests. NK just gulps down. "And for me, ...bring me to the temple every Monday!" Nani says with a sweet smile. Mami smiles to herself hearing Nani ji. NK smiles at Nani ji as he nods in agreement. Just then walk in Arnav and Khushi. As soon as NK's eyes catch them, to everyone's surprise he screams loudly, "Khushi ji!" Then he takes a twirl around himself as he screams, "Nannav.. my bro! I can't tell you how happy I am to see you!" Arnav moves his face away as if 'here we go!' Khushi hesitantly looks at Arnav from the corner of her as NK hugs Anjali sideways and jumps, "Di! Woo hoo hooo!" Anjali tries to take charge of situation, "Chhotey, you know what! NK Bhai is getting very emotional today!" she pinches NK's cheeks and then asks, "But where did the two of you go?... Don't tell that you went for ice cream again!" Anjali's mischief brings a smile to Nani ji's face. Khushi immediately jumps in defense, 'No, Di! We were..." as she struggles to come up with an answer.. she looks at Arnav.. He takes over, casually says, "Di, we went for a walk!" Ya, alright! Arnav Singh Raizada! Walk in a suit! Khushi smiles and nods in agreement. Nani, Anjali and Payal though smile mischievously.. they know better than that! Mami however, cannot keep quiet! She must remark. "Hello Hi Bye Bye! This is getting to be too much! Whenever I turn around, honeymoon!" Khushi and Arnav exchange a quick glance on her remark! Khushi turns bashful and takes off.

Arnav sits on the bed.. relaxed' in his casuals.. Khushi stands at the foot of the bed and using her special story telling skills demonstrates to Arnav how she successfully handles her encounter with the kidnappers. Arnav sits there.. his eyes full of affection... admiration.. and adulation... As Khushi enthusiastically enacts the sequence, Arnav looks at his zalli Khushi with mesmerized eyes... he is lost in her charm.. his eyes sip in every action of her... his eyes never leave her face.. his heart fills with affection and pride. Finally Khushi's eye catches Arnav lost somewhere... still looking at her.. she stops her "Dhobi Pachhaad"... "Washing clothes like a laundry man" action and asks, "Why are you looking like this? Are you even listening to me?" "Aaahh.." Arnav sorts of wakes up from his spell. With a flicker of smile and still a gaze full of adulation, he says in a very soft voice, "Yes, I am listening!" He rolls his eyes affectionately as a sweet smile covers his face. OMG... this action, I thought, suits more to the bride! Just the way Arnav expressed his emotions here were so bridal!

He gets up from the bed.. Arnav walks up to Khushi and says, "Khushi, I have to admit, you are very brave!" A smile appears on Khushi's face but vanishes quickly as her eyes go wide listening to Arnav's next sentence, "You are a bit filmy, but very courageous!" "Filmy?" she asks. "Of, course!" Arnav says with a smile, "Do you think that taking away the car of kidnappers was fabulous idea? Especially, when you are so good at driving!" Arnav adds with a light laugh, "Kidnappers had done it for money, but had you been in an accident, you would have killed him!" Arnav's observation, helps it sink in... Khushi becomes serious as she realizes the same point he had tried so hard to get across whole afternoon... "What did you say?" Khushi asks. "Yes, he could have died had he been hurt!" Arnav says it smilingly but it shakes Khushi's inner self. "Anyway, forget it!" Arnav brushes it off as he moves away. Khushi reflects on what he said. She remembers her conversation with Aarav when he had accused her, "You put me in danger! Those kidnappers wanted only money, but you! You could have killed me!" Khushi's thought process now shifts on a different angle. She remembers how at the tailor's she tried to tell the child, "No, dear! I said ASR!" and how he answered, "Yes, that's my name... ASR!" followed by their other conversation and how he shut her up saying, "What the!" Khushi starts biting on her hail as she wonders, "Both their names begin with the same letter! .. and end up on the same letter! .. and same number of letters in the names! What the!.. how can these two have so much in common?" Khushi's mind gets to work..

As Khushi pulls the curtains away, rays of sunshine fall on Arnav's face asleep in his bed. Arnav opens his eyes ever so slightly, wiggles a bit.. through his slightly open eyes he sees Khushi. "Khushi!" Arnav calls out! Khushi turns around and full energy says, "Good Morning!" then she declares, "I am not Khushi today!" That wakes Arnav up! As he sits up in the bed he asks, "Not Khushi, means?" "Means, I am 'Khansaama' the butler... today!" "Khan.. what?" Arnav asks. As Khushi starts rolling the cart, she says, 'Khansaama means the one who cooks! Just like the ones in high class restaurants! Like that!" "Oh, you mean Chef!" Arnav says. Khushi smiles, "Yes!.. Just a minute!" Arnav waits in the bed, Khushi disappears. Arnav stays in the bed.. . yawns.. When Khushi reappears, she is dressed like a chef.. white apron, and white bouffant cap! Arnav looks at her with surprise as she introduces herself, "I am chef Khushi!... and this is your breakfast!" A smirk appears on Arnav's face watching her so lively! Khushi then suggests with a smile, "Now, go and get freshened!" "Okay!" he jumps out of bed and heads in the direction of the bathroom.

Khushi waits for Arnav to return from the bathroom. When he returns, throws the towel away, and is about to sit on the chaise, when Khushi rushes, "No, no! You come.. sit here!" Khushi holds both his hands and leads him to the bed. After she sits her down on the bed, she quickly rushes to get the bed tray. Arnav helps her get the tray situated. Then Khushi puts a nice table mat, followed by a chic vase with few red roses. Arnav looks at Khushi admiration. Then Khushi puts his food covered with the dome shaped lid just like in high scale hotels and restaurants.. Arnav lifts the lid, what his eyes see make him blurt out, "Wow!" Khushi says excitedly, "This 'Wow' is made by me!... I got the recipe from the internet!" A happy smile spreads across Arnav's face as Khushi wonders, "Don't know why these are called pancakes... these are just the cousins of our food.. that too sweet!. Ah, let it be!" Then Khushi gets in groove of a real chef and says in a polished manner, "Mr. Arnav Singh Raizada, here are the knife, spoon and fork with your pancakes!" Arnav makes a long face as he says, "But there is no need of a spoon!" Khushi says with a smile, "I know! But, it's just like that in big hotels! You have everything in front of you there that you don't need!" her comment brings a smile to Arnav's face. "You go ahead, eat!" Khushi urges. As Arnav goes to start, Khushi interrupts, "Just a minute!" Then she takes the napkin, shakes it open in one swing right in Arnav's face... before she spreads it in Arnav's lap! This bit was so beautiful and truly Khushi style! "At your service!" Khushi says enthusiastically. Amused Arnav gives a cute smirk..

Arnav is about to start eating his pancakes when he reaches for Khushi, "By the way, sitting is allowed to the Chefs of five star hotels!" He pulls her to sit across the bed tray from him. Arnav cuts the first piece and takes the first bite to Khushi's mouth when she pulls back, "No!" puzzled Arnav looks at her face as she says, "I can't eat!" Khushi explains, "I am fasting today!.. Until all the girls have had food, I can't eat!" Arnav remembers, "Alright! Today is Kanya Poojan.. 'Worshipping the girls'!" Well, this surprised me, all of a sudden Arnav knows about this stuff! Uhhh! Khushi reaches for Arnav's hand and turns the fork with the bite in his direction as she says, "Yes! Today all the women of the house are fasting! That's why I brought the breakfast in the room. Everyone will get hungry if you in front of them!" "Why?" asks Arnav. "Because no one has eaten anything! Until the worship is over no one can eat!... And if someone eats in front of you doing Huhnnnh.. hunhhh.." Khushi mimics Arnav eating with pleasure.. "Won't you feel hungry too?" Amused Arnav goes, "Excuse me! I eat with huhnnn.. huhnnn?" "Yes!" she puts her elbows on the table tray as she leans over saying affectionately, "Especially when I cook!... specially made for you.. sugarfree!" Arnav's eyes show slight amusement. "By the way, these are nice pancakes!" Arnav compliments Khushi as he gulps the breakfast down.. savors every bite. As Khushi watches him, she starts to salivate.... She tries to avoid looking at him... Arnav notices that Khushi is trying hard to not feel tempted. An adorable smile spreads across his face as he tries to suppress his laugh. Finally he offers, "Khushi, have some!" Startled that Arnav noticed her temptation, she hesitates, "No!" "Come on, I won't tell anyone! I don't believe in this anyway!" As he tries to feed her, Khushi jumps to her feet, "No!" turns her back towards him, "I can't eat! How bad will Devi Maiyya feel? Can I not stay hungry for half a day for her?... Just now, I had kept fast for Teej!" Thank You,. Khushi, for reminding us that we missed out on the celebrations of your first Teej after your marriage to Arnav.. how sad! Arnav smiles, "I did not ask for it!.. I am sure that Devi Maiyya does not like it if any of her devotees is hungry!"

Khushi still avoids looking at Arnav when she says, "We fast due to our faith! Let it be, you won't understand!.. Are you done?" "Yes, done!" Arnav puts his cutlery down. Khushi turns around with a broad, sweet smile on her face, gathers the plates and puts those away on the trolley. Then she picks up the tea set and places it on the bed tray in front of Arnav. Loved Loved Loved every little gesture both of them showed and every word they said'. It was just awesome! Haaye, mera dil.. mera dil choo liya!.. It touched my heart! Just how Arnav moves his hands to help her with the tray.. it was just so natural. Khushi plops herself properly on the bed. As she pours tea into the cup, she says, "Now I have to cook too! Have to make different gourmet dishes. There should be no shortcoming in the pooja .. the worship.. and the food.. the offering!" Arnav rolls his eyes as he says, "Then I should just run away!" "Houh!" Khushi says in her usual style, "Why?" SOOO Cute! Arnav also finds it adorable. He mimics her and says, "Houh, why? Don't you remember what happened last time?" A smirk appears on his face.

Memories from last year flash back in front of Khushi's eyes.. how the girls rushed to grab the ladoos from her.. how they ruined Arnav's model... how they drew mustache on his picture.. how angry Arnav got afterlooking at that picture.. Arnav looks at Khushi's face that brightens with smile.. With a giggle she says, "I used to be so scared of you then!" Arnav smiles, "Yes!" then he raises his eyebrows and looks at Khushi, "And now?" "Now, I am not afraid!" Khushi says cheerfully. Arnav immediately reaches for Khushi's hand, pulls her with a tug towards him.. and leans across the tray to bring his face closer to her, as he gazes into her eyes and says, "Really?" Khushi's lips quiver as she looks into Arnav's eyes... she tries to say something but gets drowned in his eyes as he tugs on her hand again... "Yes.." somehow she manages to say, as his averts his gaze.. she stutters, "No.. I am not afraid!" The flirtatious lover in Arnav, tugs on her hand again to make sure she looks him into the eye and then says in a husky soft voice, "Prove it!"







Mischievous lover in Khushi immediately takes her free hand and pinches Arnav's cheek affectionately to his surprise, as she says, "Not afraid!", then gets up and runs to the door only to be stopped by Arnav's words. "Oh, come one, Khushi, don't keep doing this to me! I am not a kid!"

Khushi turns around, looks at sulked Arnav and says with puffed cheeks, "Oh, yes! I forgot!" Immediately her face and tone becomes serious as she says, "But.. Arnav ji, if you are not a kid.. then.. why does everyone call you "Chhotey"'"Small One"? As Khushi laughs mischievously, Arnav's eyes become affectionate and passionate. Love oozes from his eyes for Khushi as they say, 'having fun, ya, Khushi?' "Now, get ready quickly!' Khushi orders, "I have to buy gifts for the kids!" Arnav rolls his eyes and lifts his left eye brow as a sweet smile spreads across his face.

In ASR's office:

His staff tells the lady, "Congratulations, Madam! You have been appointed. In fact, we needed someone like you. One last formality needs to be completed.. you will have to meet with our boss! For his approval." It turns pout tat the lady is none other than Sheetal. "He is in a meeting at this time,. So, you will have to wait for a while. Please, don't mind!" He shows her where to wait with a gesture. "Sure!" says Sheetal.

In the gift shop: Khushi argues with the person at the counter, "No, Bhaisaab, this won't do! I will be buying so many things, you must give me some discount!" "Forgive me, Madam, but this is a fixed price shop. There is no discount on anything at all, no matter how much you buy!" Just then walks into the shop Aarav as Khushi responds, "No.. No.. No! I will make you give me some discount, otherwise why should I buy from you? I will get it from somewhere else!" Aarav knows this voice.. he turns around. Yes, indeed, it's Khushi!.. arguing with the shopkeeper.. Aarav's eyes go wide as he watches her argue. "Oh, No!" he blurts out.. thinks of quietly leaving the shop.... As he slowly starts walking away, Khushi's eyes catch him, "Aarav?" He looks away as she tries to make an eye contact. BUT.. Khushi is Khushi! She walks over to Aarav and even though he gives her not so enthusiastic, 'Hi!' she goes in a chirpy style, "Hello! Where is your Mumma?" "Mumma's gone for her interview. I am waiting for her," he answers. "Alright!" responds Khushi, "So.. which one of the toys did you like?" Aarav immediately makes a face 'kya museebat hai, yaar!'' 'she is trouble'... and says, "I don't like toys!" "What? All the kids love toys, then why not you?" Khushi probes. Aarav makes face that depicts that she is bothering him as he answers, "Since all the kids like them I don't! Because, I am not a kid!" Khushi does not give up, "Ya.. ya'ya! I know, you are not a kid! You are young but older! You are old young!" Khushi herself gets confused, "No!.. You are.. young.. but.. old.." she starts biting on her nail. "Excuse me! May I go/" Aarav asks.

"No, not at all!" Khushi declares, but does not stop there, "Your Mumma asked you to wait! So, come and help me pick the toys!" "What? You play with toys?" Aarav asks. "No! These are for someone else!.. Okay, tell me! What kind of toys do eight to ten years old girls like?" 'How do I know?" Aarav answers with disinterest. Khushi never takes "No" for an answer, she rushes towards the toys.... finds a doll and starts talking to her, "Haye! What beautiful doll this is! Her small eyes,.. her hair... Shall I buy it?" Aarav shakes his head in "No". he moves to grab a packaged toy gun. Khushi comes rushing as he shows that to her, "Not at all,.. no guns!" she puts it away and grabs a stuffed animal, "What do you think of this one?" she shows it to Aarav. "No, both are really bad!" "Why?" Khushi asks. Aarav now gets angry, "I told you that I don't like toys!" Khushi says to him, "Do you know that you are very weird?" "Weird? I am not the weird one.. those girls who play with these toys are weird! They feed food to the dolls.. change their clothes.. get them married.. as if those are humans..not toys!.. I mean.. they are all weird!"

"Excuse me! May I come in?" Sheetal asks. With his back to the door, ASR says, "Come in!" As Arnav turns around, he is genuinely surprised to see Sheetal, "Sheetal?" He puts the file in his hand on the table and stands up, "You.. and here?" "Actually.. Arnav.. I .. came in for the interview in your Designing department." Sheetal hesitates. 'Oh, for the designer's position!" Arnav says, "Okay!. You were interested in all these things in college days! I had no idea that you would become a designer!.. Sit!" As Sheetal takes a seat, Arnav sits down as well. "How's your son?" Arnav inquires. "He is good!" Sheetal answers not so enthusiastically. "Aarav,, right?" he says. An awkward silence ensues between the two.

Back at the toy shop:

Khushi pays for the toys. Come to Aarav at the door, says, "Come, let's go eat!" "I am not hungry!" Arnav says with a stern face. "This is what is wrong with you! Why don't you talk like a kid.. you are a kid.. it feels as if you shower stones out of your mouth! And what is this? Every time go around with an angry face!.. If you smile a bit.. talk smilingly.. it won't hurt you! The world is not so bad. .." Khushi continues to talk relentlessly.. Aarav starts getting dizzy.. Khushi is completely engrossed in talking, "Yea, I know that girls are a bit different from boys. We love to talk! We talk when we are happy.. we talk when we are upset too! ' " Khushi goes on and on.. Aarav gets so dizzy that he holds on to the door..". make us talk anytime.. " finally Khushi stops talking as she realizes that Aarav has become almost unresponsive. She catches him as he falls.. Khushi wonders, "Oh God! Did he faint because of my talking?" I laughed very hard here but then reflected.. Aarav... We don't like because he behaves like adults.. Khushi.. behaves like a child... "What shall I do?" Khushi wonders.

Back in Arnav's office:

"Designs?" Arnav prompts. Sheetal hands him her portfolio.. As Arnav browses through the designs he exclaims, "Wow!.. . This is good stuff! .. Pretty good!.. Going by the designs, I guess, this job is yours!" As Arnav hands Sheetal back her portfolio, "So,,. Sheetal.." Sheetal stands up distracted.. all of sudden she interrupts him and says, "Sorry, Arnav! I cannot take this job!" Surprised and puzzled Arnav reacts, 'What?,.. Why?" "Just that I can't!" Sheetal says. Arnav stands up, says in a soft voice, "I am sorry, Sheetal! I did not mean to make you feel uncomfortable." OMG! What happened to our ASR! The rest of the world is still the same and he seems to have changed overnight! More later, in my special note. "No.. No.. I.. that.." Sheetal hesitates. "Sheetal, is everything okay?" Arnav asks in soft, concerned voice. Just then Arnav's phone starts ringing. Sheetal looks at it. "Khushi".. she says to Arnav, "It's your wife!" Arnav looks at it, "Excuse me!" he picks up the call. Sheetal picks up her portfolio and is about to leave when Arnav's words on the phone stop her, "Hello!... What?... Aarav. Fainted?" "What?" she asks as Arnav listens to Khushi on phone. "But where did you meet him?" he asks Khushi. "I met him at the toy shop." Khushi says as she sits in the car holding a passed out Aarav. "What happened to Aarav?" Sheetal asks concerned as Arnav continues to listen to Khushi on the phone, "What happened?.. Where is he?" Khushi says to Arnav on the pother end, "You, please, call and let Sheetal ji know!" "Actually, Sheetal is with me!" Arnav tells Khushi, "I will bring her home!.. Okay!" He hangs up Sheetal is almost in tears, "I left Aarav alone. I am a bad mother! .. I don't know what happened to him!.. Please, tell me what happened to Aarav!"

"Sheetal, relax, don't panic. Khushi is with him. I am sure, she will take care of him. They both are at my house. Let me bring you there. Come!" Khushi.. Khushi.. Khushi.. why did you not call Arnav at the gift shop? Why did you have to bring this kid home? My dear, Khushi, when will you learn not to talk too much with the strangers?

Everyone is gathered around an unconscious Aarav laying on the sofa. "Aarav.. Aarav.. dear, Aarav... Aarav.." Khushi calls as Anjali caresses his face gently. Gradually.. slowly.. Aarav opens his eyes'.. only to notice.. some big.. worried.. women looking at him. staring him into the face... Wonderful cinematography here! As Aarav jumps up to sit in on the sofa, all the ladies straighten up in a jiffy! "Hello Hi Bye Bye!" Mami ji goes as Aarav wipes his face off with his hands, "Why did you have to jump so suddenly? We are not ghosts!" Then she asks Khushi, "Where did you find this small packet? Who is he?" "Mami ji, he is the son of Arnav ji's friend.. that day.." and suddenly Khushi realizes that she cannot talk about kidnapping... as everyone looks at her with questions in their gazes, she says, "That day when Arnav ji and I went for an ice cream.. we met with him!" Aarav looks at her as Khushi lies. Nani ji affectionately says, "Don't be scared, dear! I am here!" Aarav says in a straightforward voice, "It's okay! I am alright now and I am leaving!" Anjali and Khushi hold him in place as Khushi says, "Stop! You won't go anywhere! And what do you mean by you are alright? You had passed out! I have called the doctor. You rest right here!" Aarav says, "Doctor?.. Why?. I am going to my mom." As he tries to leave again, Anjali and Khushi hold him down again, "I told you that you are going nowhere! I have told your Mumma that you are here. She must be on her way. Alright?' Then Khushi looks around and says, "We should feed Aarav something." Mami ji nods in agreement. As Aarav jumps of the sofa, Anjali grabs him, "Would you like some soup?" She asks with affectionate gaze and voice as she holds his face gently in her hand. Aarav makes a disgusted face and stands to leave. As he gets pulled back down, Nani ji says, 'Oh, stop!.. Let us feed him Khichadi!" Aarav struggles to leave when Payal hold him down saying, "Will almond milk be alright for him?" "Yes," says Khushi. BUT.. when they all look down, Aarav is nowhere! "Where did he go?" Khushi says. Stunned everyone looks at each other.
