🤗I came here to rave and rant too 😆
...the cvs have forgotten what made them popular in the first place...I agree with you on the cliched tracks it works... IPPKND was different because they did take the cliched path most often that not but showcased it quite differently...which made it awesome...
TRP is all about the script...in recent times...specifically with the start of khushi comedy track...its just taken a super nose dive...the script became shabby...the storylines went haywire...they jumped, swung, switched tracks like noones business...thats what went wrong...everything bloopers and other minor stuff were always there...but what went majorly wrong was the script and the tracks...masala maam, bubly... IPKKND...need some theraav...they need to take track..and give it a good finishing...and they need to understand that the show is popular because Arnav and khushi were so well meshed with the rest of the characters along with Rabba ves...thats what made/will make the TRP...I hope they handle the daiyya ho track well...coz it looks interesting...hers to a better TRP future...cheers!

hey mysterieux long time no see...where hast thou been?
Anyway you're right, actually they need to handle these tracks one by one in an uncomplicated manner so that the general TRP crown would understand the story without having to visit the redux posts.
And absolutely right about showing stupid tracks like masaala maama and bubbly... i dont even know what they were thinking.

I fully agree with you with the bolded portion above.
Previous set of CVs and writers have gone or left during the MU track. Or even if some of them are there, they do not have the visiion of this as a daily soap and treating it like an episodical show with no connection to previously aired episodes.
Even now I dont think the TRPs will increase.
His sorry to Kushi behind closed doors will not be enough. It is a stat, but will not be enough.
If you see the way BV climbed the charts again is how the once upon a darling of the reel family, of the village, of everyones heart was exposed in front of everyone slowly on how his decisions created havoc. There was slow but perfect justification for the bride. She became a Daughter from being a Daughter in law. her purity, piousness and character were never questioned.
That is the type of justice people like to see.
I can guarantee you that, if the whole truth comes out and Anjali supports Kushi and disowns her chotey so he realises his mistakes, that type of story will help garner sympathy for ASR, make Anjali look like a parallel lead and Kushi will be vindicated.
So all this hoopla about sorry behind closed doors may not be it. Let us see.

Sudha,🤗
@red, I completely agree with you! The vilification of Khushi happened in front of everyone 3 times, for the first time, immediately following the wedding, second time after she rescued ASR from Shyam and again yesterday! They want to get away with ASR apologising behind closed doors, that is typical double standards for you!

never watched BV, so cannot comment on that...

@underline, that would be such a mature response and such an anti cliche! Unlike the typical evil sister in law or the atypical but even more objectionable over possessive sister in law they are currently showing us, she can choose to grow up and be a true older sister to her younger brother and his wife and knock some sense into him! That would have been such a wise thing to do!

Manju, you said it all love, you said it all. If all those actions that define you as a good human being are cliched I want the show to be cliched. At the end of the day we want to feel good about the hero we love, and if he comes off as a jerk, we are not going to be happy.
Today I felt that mysterious, dark, brooding yet sensitive man I saw and connected with in the initial episodes. Im glad he was taken off the rude, heartless avatar he was displayed for the past few weeks and was shown in a light that resembled him before.
Agreed with everything you said.
I dont know if they have lreally ost interest though. the show after all rakes them quite a bit of money and to SP too...they wont easily abondon it when the show has a lot of pottential yet...lets see how things are played out from now on. I feel a bit hopeful after today..
😃

@red Hear Hear!

@underline, I so truly hope you are right, if you are, the recent abysmal script is even more inexplicable, who will starve and kill a goose that is laying golden eggs? What Sudha said is right, the writers are failing to deliver, but tumhare muh meh ghee shakkar, let us hope things improve. I will shamelessly admit, that I, a grown woman with above average intelligence(only my assumption, no real proof😃) will miss the show if and when it ends

@Hiru...been around...flitting and floating...the cvs weer getting on my nervez because its become a standard...just when I think the CVs have woken up they go doze off all over again...makes me want to throw them ice cold water in their face...wake up wake up...gosh its not nuclear science to figure out whats going wrong!

So I have no hopes for the apology till it comes...

Arnav and her still not together and shyam is walking around planning more upheaval...audience enjoys dramatization to a certain extent, but they don't want to be choked with it either...I haven't seen soaps like BV, but i have seen yeh rishta kya kehlata hai and the reason why it clicks with the audience is because the leads are happy with each other, they do get problems, but those problems are solved quickly and both the leads are shown triumphing over all sorts of evils and issues. This needs to be done in IPK to generate more TRP...Arnav needs to be in control of Shyam, not the other way around.

Manju! What a post, woman! I am glad I am 69 pages late because now I get to read your amazing response. You leave a deafening silence after tour brilliant, though provoking comments.

I completely agree with your comment about us , women loving cliches. In spite of being "LIberated" women of 21st century, our hearts still for romance. We still dream of candles and roses. A marriage proposal on bended knees. Even the most cynical of us, dreams of falling in love and being swept off our feet. Even if they don't admit it, not even to themselves, they do want someone to love.

It is basic human nature to want someone to love us. It is in our nature to love and wanting be loved. So at times, only "cliches" work best. Nothing can replace an " I love you". No other words can express your feelings better. No matter how abused and hackneyed the word is. It is still something we want to heart from our loved ones.

So when we are hurt, nothing heals us better than a I am sorry". These words are ingrained in our minds and it would be difficult to accept anything else. They can't be replaced.

I don't want to sound like Dadi, but yes "marriage" is important. It is the closure. Live-in-relationships etc are all fine and I don't think they are "illegal" and hence need the stamp of approval from the hypocritical society but rather if you truly love your partner and respect her, your should not be afraid to "accept" her in front of everybody.- in front of the society and most importantly in front of God.

Sorry for deviating from the topic. But I loved your response and couldn't help sharing some thoughts.

* a standing ovation* for that wonderful comment of yours.

Onu my love, forhead kiss to you for this lovely post. Even The most cynical of all woman would want a happily ever after. these beliefs and expectations are encoded in out DNA. And we want to see it being inacted in the show we adore. No amounts of jutifications on his dark brooding nature and aethisitc out look of life would suffice to make us forgive him for being unable to say a simple sorry or wish a Happy Birthday.
we expect these things from our man.
At bold 👏
marriage is important to a woman and for a woman like Khushi it's her life and ASR having been living with a naani and di who uphlds the same values, cant be that unaware of how Khushi must be feeling about these customs and traditionsr. This fact still makes me very annoyed that ASR continues to disregard Khushi's feelings and expectations. He agreed to the emarriage not out of the want to satisfy her but to find a quick easy solution to the problem. It was a selfish act conducted just so that he can get Khushi. It was for his personal benifit. Not for Khushi.

Onu Sweetie,

You embarrass me and humble me with your praise!

@red, truer words have not been said!

@underline, marriage is important, but I think its sanctity has been eroded quite a lot in recent times. It is the divine and legal seal of approval, but is it the only way to be true and faithful? I too am all for marriage, but having lived as long as I have, I have seen people being together for decades through thick and thin but not been actually married, others treat it as frivolously as they change their bedlinen!

So I honestly don't know...Ultimately it is the intention that counts and yes you are right, if you care enough, why wouldn't you do it?
