Hiru darling,
What an absolutely lovely post! 70 pages! I don't think I can manage to read all the replies and I am sure everyone has said everything there is to say!
One thing I do want to point out, if apologising for your mistake is a cliche, then yes I want cliche. If happiness for Khushi is a cliche, yes I want cliche. If punishment for the villain is a cliche, yes I want cliche. They can show all the cliches and still be different and innovative! So many brilliant writers on IF, including you, darling, are more than enough proof that it can be done.
The other point which I have made before in another thread is, this is a daily soap, not a book or a film which we can finish in a set time, and forget, we watch this daily and there is only so much negativity we can handle. Most of us have more than enough experience with trouble and strife in our work and life. We don't need to have to sit through someone being desecrated on a daily basis without respite and without the prospect of relief, even if it is a fictional character
I believe the problem is they had not envisaged the plot beyond the MU, and had planned to somehow stretch it for as long as they could and to end the story with the remarriage. If you look at most Hindi shows, that is the case, most end with a wedding. And here we are always wanting something 'meaningful'!!
They probably have lost interest in this show, every body wants to do something new and moreover if you have your finger in too many pies, you cannot do justice to any. So rant as much as we want, whether it will make a difference?😕
