Again I say"Momma is always right"! All kidding aside, I also agree that he wants her to claim her rights on her Husband...her Laad Govenor!! But for Khushi...her EGO is too big..its as big as his ever was!!

I love hoe you described that his EGO has become a part of her, whereas her SMILE has become a part of him...how better to show how much they are instilled into each other!

Anu, Ditto to everything you said.👏 Only one place where I will have to disagree with you and that is on the notion of Khushi's "ego". Personally, I wouldn't even vouch to term this girl as egotistic; she's something far from that. For lack of better terminology, in Sanaya's words, "Khushi Pagal Hain". Bas. If this girl had the least bit of ego, she would have never gone to ASR's office TWICE and agreed to the 24 hour deal. "I don't want your favor, I want your money"--what!!!???😲 If this is indeed ego, then it is the most dheela type of ego I've ever seen.😕

I don't know what she wants in the end. When he saw it as his duty to protect her and her family, she insisted that she doesn't need his favor. So Arnav withdrew it. She then questions why he did this, he gave her his answer. He tells her yet again that he is willing to pay her rent, and she goes back determined to prove him wrong. And what does she end up doing? Groveling RIGHT BACK to his feet to ask, not for a favor, but money--like there is any difference in the two.😆 She has no self-respect. I used to feel sorry for this girl knowing she was put through this much, but when she showed she lacks every bit of of self-respect, how can we sympathize with her?

People who are calling ASR a jerk for his actions today are failing to understand him yet again. Arnav tried it her way and failed. He's executing this "ASR style" as a LAST RESORT. A person who practically lived by his moto of money and deals is using this method last. Isn't this change enough?

Also, people say that there needs to be redemption of his character for the same. To them I say, when Khushi herself seems to have forgotten everything, what is there for Arnav to redeem? Nothing. "Laad Governer Itna bhi boora nahi hai"'Does this look like a girl who is traumatized by her past? No. I say redemption is only logical when Khushi thinks Arnav has done something inherently wrong. She sees nothing wrong in his doings then why should we? When it all comes down to it, Arnav may be ruthless but Khushi encourages this very wrath by showing no self-respect on her part. At least there is consistency in his character, Khushi behaves so maturely in one frame and is a complete 5 year old in the next. Half the time, I have no clue what she wants. She didn't even leave RM because she was angry with Arnav. She left in her mahan attempts at setting things right between brother and sister.

I know I'm going off topic and ranting here but I'm tremendously angry with the execution of this track. They may be showing light hearted romantic comedy, but I don't remember signing up for that in the first place. We were promised an intense, star-crossed love story, similar to M&B. And I'm left to think--where did those days go? Where did the intensity go? And the answer is that it has been diluted in these comedic tracks. I don't like that with every episode, we are losing the intensity. We are not only losing intensity, but sensibility as well. These two are behaving so much so like 5 year olds that it makes me wonder where the immense understanding post-kidnapping track went. Gone are the episodes when both understood each other through their eyes and simple gestures evoked so much meaning (In reference to July 9/10 episodes).

"He is not being ASR to break her spirit this time, he is trying to free it from the burden of self-sacrifice that keeps her happiness as a matter of last priority."

^^I really hope you are right. I trust that ASR's motives are exactly this, but I have my doubts when it comes to Khushi. I don't think this girl will ever turn the least bit selfish, which is anything but good. Her selflessness lacks logic all together and it only ends up hurting more people that it safes. We've seen that countless times in the past.

We'll just have to wait for TRPs tomorrow to see whether this track being liked by our TRP aunties over in India 😆 I don't know, the comedy just doesn't go well with me...😕
Okay I'm done, sorry for my endless rant 😆

Khushi has honoured her part of the contract because she feared ASR will ruin Payal's marriage... so legally, she is free to go... he has no hold on her.. Why would Khushi accept favours from a man to whom she was only bound by contract..

She was not treated like a wife by ASR at all during her stay in RM...

If you truly beleive that they share nothing but a piece of paper between them... there is nothing at all to discuss. Then you are absolutely right...she should leave him, and in that case, he would never stop her.

Just watched the episode Lolz
I love your post Anu like Arnav loves Khushi!

Ditto to everything you said yes yes he isn't trying to woo her this is not a wooing track he is trying to get her out of her selfconstructed shell. Make her realize that as much as he needs her she needs him as well. Didn't he say my ego have you every thought about your ego last week??He wants her to get rid of her ego and self sacrificial nature
he wants her to realize that leaving him doesn't only hurt her but it hurts him as well sadly they aren't showing their hurt and pain *sigh* ohhow i wish these very very creative scriptwriters would give these 2 monologues so the audience won't be confused with their actions.

hope these 12 days don't turn into 12 weeks!
