correct me guys, I am being accused of not understanding the USP of this show or understanding the character ASR.

There is nothing to understand, this has nothing to do with characters etc, its about the social message being portrayed via the characters, the characters are controlled by the writers they can make them great or stink. This is about social justice. Or lack there of in this case.
People have offered so many different scenarios that would have "fit" the characters and the show that would not demean women.

If the CVs would have gone with the initial title to the serial which was a very suggestive "vaidehi" - another name for sita the "sacrificial woman" it would be viewed by the followers of "naa aana iss des laado" "uttaran" and that shit spitting "balika vadhu". These guys deceived us into believing that it is a love story with separation. HELLO FOLKS you guys just made me question my intelligence and shook my belief about falling into watching a daily soap.

I am not suggesting a fast-unto-death or I quit movement or ASR go back. But stop redeeming yourself in one episode and then falling right back to where you picked up the pieces from in the other. Stop it with the male overpowering a woman thing RIGHT ABOUT NOW.

ok..i have come to conclusion that these kind of so called abuse thats shown in most of indian dramas happens in abt 90% of indian household..thats why most of the viewers are women and they feel connected ...thats why shows like sns dil se dua and other shows have high trps...guys they r enjoying it...i really dont want ipkknd in that category...still have hopes..

The character ASR has always been prone to violence...from the beginning realising the video, dropping her off his cabin, making her attend the carpark at night or day, giving her a short dress to wear, telling her uthake bahar feqk deta in front of ppl, throwing her out of his house calling her gold digger, calling her di's naqar, kicking her out of his car few times...what he did tonight that he didn't do before??

Does it make a difference that she is his wife today? Does that make his previous acts any less regressive?? Not to me...

Again, what did he do tonight that he didn't do before?? It was violence then and it is violence now.

How did we put up with it...maybe this time I should quit...or keep on hoping ASR will turn good and keep watching?? Did we encourage the cvs by making this show popular??

Smriti..u r being Real n sensible.Others are getting clouded with the looks of ASR.if this was done by Akaash or Shyam...I can just imagine what the reaction wld have been. This is pure eye candy doing the floss.Rubbish!!
