I was just thinking ( a bad thing to do late Friday night, but...here it is anyway), this show is slotted at 8 pm as a "family" show and claims to not show love scenes between protagonists because it can "corrupt" young minds and is not "fit" for family viewing.

But this kind of treatment of a woman and this kind of victimization is ok to broadcast during "family" hour. Why this hypocrisy?

I think I know better by now, but let me know if you actually expect to get a straightforward, reasonable answer to that question 😆

unfortunately, it depicts our society. Intimacy is behind closed doors so we can't show that but disrespecting and abusing wives is done out in the open.

HI SJ, this is a case of severe thread stalking, but I think I've gone through the entire thread and cannot but comment again. Was happy to find your thread to vent out on last night...and am surprised to see that so many more have come forth to share the common view that this was simply not done. Less said about him the better, he is obviously flawed and in dire need of some help to sort out the emotional imbalance in his head, nothing justifies his actions or gives him any right to do what he's dishing out. And no not even his supposed restlessness makes up for throwing her out in the cold! Set aside anger, hatred, jealousy, romance, love, passion and what not - all that jazz - what Arnav did by chucking her out was inhumane and cowardly, period. I hope after all this crapOdrama the creative team will show that she puts her foot down and stands up for herself, even if it means walking out on him and this sham of a marriage because quite frankly she owes it to no one. She has to fight back and not turn into another doormat!! If they don't make her take a positive stand soon, that will be the biggest let down for me and will put me off the show for good. I just can't fathom why SP shows such regressive behavior and subservient wives and nincompoop families! shucks! I just checked out some clips of the other show that's numero uno on this channel ... I am at a loss of words quite frankly. *scratches head*

You cannot kiss your wife in front of your chidren , but you can hit her while being watched by chidren - that is the greatness of being Indian

I agree, and domestic abuse should definitely not even be on this show!
