physical cuts r easier to nurse. at present what he feels is a treachery towards his Di , himself. When truth unfolds his love vl be worth watching. A proper consultation, a smooth enquiry vl end the show in a week.

Let me put in my two bits:

Who is the "cheater" here? Shyam, because he is the one who is in a committed relationship and who has taken marriage vows. Khushi did not owe ASR any fidelity during the terrace scene. The wrong message that got conveyed was that if you love a woman she has no right to love another man and if she does so you have every right to abuse her in any manner you like. Male protagonist blackmailing and manhandling the female protagonist cannot be considered justifiable in the name of so called "love".

Another more serious issue is the message that mental torture is fine as long as there is no physical violence. Women is a person in her own right. She should be allowed to make her own choices. Any violation of this through mental or physical abuse cannot be considered justifiable.

Yeah I agree with you on that. A lot of TV serials show that if a man loves a woman, then she cannot go around loving another man.
And I have seen people mentioning that Khushi cheated on him, and that's not the right term for it at all.

I think Arnav feels betrayed by Khushi in terms of friendship, or love or whatever you want to call it.

If it was someone that I had started becoming close to, and found out they were having an affair with my sister's husband. I would be pretty cut with them as well.

I don't think anyone is justifying mental torture in the name of love.

They are saying he is going to be angry at her and take it out on her because in his eyes, she is in love with his sister's husband. She is in love with her friend's husband (considering Anjali was Khushi's friend).

And I still believe that Khushi has given it as good as she has got. So I am still hoping that she will stand up for herself.

Glorifying domestic violence would be when Khushi takes whatever comes to her, without protesting, and fearing for her life and body.

Just my opinion :)

But has there really been a mental torture placed on Khushi? Apart from some harsh words, isn't mental abuse more along the terms of something that causes someone to go into a depression, or other psychological disorders?

No one deserves that. Whether man or woman.

However i still doubt that Arnav would be subjecting her to mental torture. He may say a few harsh words here and there, but that won't be enough for Khushi to be reeling into a depression or schizophrenia.

And I still believe that Khushi has given it as good as she has got. So I am still hoping that she will stand up for herself.

Thank you for your response. I think we are agreeing on most of the things here. 😊
The thing where we are differing is the way we are looking at ASR blackmailing Khushi. I see it as abuse of power and even if Khushi was having an affair with his BIL, it does not give him right to blackmail and manhandle her. A forced marriage is a big mental torture by itself.
I hope you are right and CVs will be more careful in future and not show further mental torture or manhandling. I think the discussions on this topic are mainly to convey our concerns so that CVs are more careful in future.

Darling - the show will never go towards domestic violence. Arnav did what he had to do but he will never force khushi into sleeping with him or raping her or slapping or beating her himself - he will hurt her yes but with his words or grabbing and pushing scenes - he will never take it beyond that!

And I myself fight for Domestic violence against women and this is fiction. Arnav won't do anything that is not being shown is another channel ( there is one particular show that clearly emphasizes on it) - He loves Khushi and whatever the CV's shows they will never show him turn into a beating maniac husband. As the story line goes - he needs to hurt her some way - its going to be more emotional than physical.

Moreover even if minutely there is a chance of violence - they will also show a way for women to fight it-- because if they dont then it will be domestic violence - however I know its never going to reach that point.

Chill - relax - enjoy the show! see how it goes and then take a stand.

Okay, honestly I don't think that's is Arnav Singh Raizada. No matter how angry he is, I don't think he would RAPE Khushi! No matter how much he hates her at this moment, he still does love her.

There might be some manhandling like how he's done before to vent out his anger but trust me, ASR can't be SOOO cruel to rape her! He has a sister too!

Yeah I ended up editing out a bit of my post because I felt I was justifying the 'mental torture'...which was not my intention.

Fair enough :) Differing of views is what makes this forum so interesting, and calls for a healthy debate :)

Hopefully the track further shows a stronger Khushi.

I have a feeling that Khushi may not retaliate for a while...but I have complete faith that she will. And when she does, ASR will be in for a shock :)

Let's not jump the gun!!😊Don't judge the track by just two episodes, give CVs and directors a chance to tell their story first. I don't understand why people are just assuming things.
