Sharada I had replied to you in PM form and so a topic was not needed, but I will reply in public as well.

The TRP thread keeps getting closed because it's not a discussion thread. It's a bashing ground. It may be opened for discussion, but it only becomes a breeding ground of bashing SP, the producers, other shows on SP, and some people even bash the actors and characters.

My note was about RKC directly because I've noticed that many of the bashing notes mocked RKC for not bringing SP its glory and high TRPs and all.

I have no problems if the topic was opened just for discussion. Go ahead and discuss why SP is acting like they do or why a time slot doesn't work or why IPK3 went off air in reality, as long as it isn't bashing, mocking, or otherwise.

I don't know what happened in the BARC TRP thread before my time, but I have always taken action against anyone bashing, mocking, or anything else as long as I got at least a report pointing it out.

You cannot discuss TRPs of another show because it is not related to IPK3 and the posts inevitably lead to comparison posts.

There are no special rules for anyone anywhere. We work based on IF rules. The problem is that if a DT does not take action then it appears that the DT is biased to that fangroup and if they take action then they appear fair. People enjoy pointing fingers because it is very easy to point fingers, but very hard to understand the reasons behind what DTs do.

The posts were not closed because RKC viewers came here and started reporting those posts. The posts were closed because they were bashing, mocking, and not discussing.

Shreya, Please check the thread. No where are we mocking SP so hopefully this thread will not be closed.

Guys So the rules are we can discuss things about SP and TRPs but no mocking of the shows. So let's stick to the "rules" please.

Anyway looks like SP is indeed in a dire position. They cut shorted Aarambh by 6 episodes to launch Lip Sync Battle and guess what after 6 weeks Lip Sync Battle is ending. So nothing is working for SP not dailies not weekend shows. Good luck in getting audience tuned in

Also I wanted to say this - SP starts out good concepts but somewhere it is not understanding how to stick by the concepts and do justice to them. Aarambh was a mega budgeted show conceptualized on lines of Bahubali but the moment the trps didn't come the show was closed off. Sony is now launching Porus and Prithvi Vallabh on the same lines. I am damn sure Sony is going to give time to the shows to connect to the audience and they might be a trp getter for the channel.

Similarly they launched IPK3 with hate angle but didn't have guts to go on the full way. Now &TV is doing the exact same concept for Siddhi Vinayak. They not only did the same kind of promos they even cast the same child actor for the childhood part of the leads. SP really needs to understand why and where they are not working and try to rectify it rather than sacrificing shows because other channels are doing the same concepts and are showing much more faith in the product.

SP needs to change their strategy
they can't keep axing shows for low trp
they need to give the shows ample time
and before axing they can try for time slot change
