"Uh, I didnt get around to unpacking yet"
Omkara followed her into the living room, it was a small home, neat and cosy. "Would you like a" she turned around to face him to see he was right behind her, a jovial smirk on his face
"A drink, yes please, coffee, black" his eyes lit up with humour at her shocked state, she nodded and moved to make him it
Gauri made the drinks and held one out to him, she sat down on the sofa next to Omkara and lifted her legs up, crossing them beneath her, he looked over his cup at her as she tried hard to avoid his gaze
"So, Gauri" she froze, turning back to face him
"Why did you invite me in"
"If we're going to be having dinner weekly, I should get to know you right" she gulped
"Here was me thinking you just invited me in because you wanted to"
"I wouldnt have invited you in if I didnt" she rebuffed, this was dangerous, so very dangerous but she had been alone for so many years, no friends, and now when friendship stared her right in the face, she didnt have the strength to turn her back on it and walk away
Omkara placed his cup down "You want to know me better right, ask away"
She looked over at him, then placed her cup down "Why are you so interested in me"
"How did I know you would ask that", he raised a brow at the fear on her face, was she scared of him or his answer?
"Theres something peaceful about you, serene, you carry a certain grace about you and you're mysterious, and beautiful to"
Gauri shook her head, she wasnt beautiful, nowhere near beautiful, but if a man as handsome as him felt she was then maybe she was atleast preety in some way
"Youre a business man right, what kind of business"
He cleared his throat "Property development, its called OPD industries, Oberoi Property Development"
Her eyes widened "You own it" she asked
He nodded, "Well then for a man as rich as you, you could have anyone really, a girl more at your level, so why me"
"You are at my level"
She laughed "How"
He tapped his nose "Its a secret, maybe ill tell you some day"
She pouted, "Cant you tell me now" she pleaded
He shook his head "Stop looking at me like that"
Gauri smirked and dropped her gaze
"Anymore questions Gauri" his voice was husky as he leaned forward, relishing the sound of her name on his lips
"Just one last question"
He nodded
"Say we have dinner weekly, what day will it be on, what time, will we alternate whos house we are at and"
Omkara raised his hand stopping her "Thats already three questions, Wednesdays or Saturdays work best for me, lets say 7pm we eat, but we meet at 6pm and yes we can alternate"
Gauri nodded "Okay I dont have anymore questions, unless you do"
"Yes, just one" he paused "Are we starting tomorrow, how much money do you want and why do you keep looking at me like that"
She smiled "That was three questions, yes if you would like" she had forgotten about the money aspect "Anything you want and looking at you like what"
"Like Im crazy"
"Thats because you are"
"Oh really how" he raised his brow
"Youre paying me to spend time with you, thats crazy"
He smiled "Crazy got me here, so ill roll with it"
Omkara stood up "So I will see you at six tomorrow then"
She nodded and with that he was gone
