Part 1Omkara was walking past his mother's room when he heard her call out to him. Jhanvi Singh Oberoi looked the portrait of elegance today. She was dressed in a green saree and had let her signature curls flow freely. A
kundan necklace adorned her swan-like neck highlighting her pale skin. She gently ran a hand over Omkara's head. 'I'm so glad you came Om. I know We haven't been the family you deserve but you are much more than I could have ever asked for.' Omkara knew his mother would get emotional any moment now so he put his arms around her. After what seemed like ages, they broke apart and Jhanvi placed a pearl brooch into Om's palm. 'Will you give this to your brother for me?' Omkara nodded and made his way towards Shivaay's room.
Once outside Shivaay's room, Omkara saw Shivaay gazing at a picture, his wife-to-be Omkara assumed. 'My dearest Gauri Kumari Sharma. Today you will be mine.' Om was about to step into the room but what he saw next rooted him to the spot. Shivaay crushed the picture in his palm and threw it on the floor.
'Today marks the beginning of the rest of your life, oops our life. A happy one for me and one of endless suffering for you. Did your sister really think she would get away with rejecting me? Oh Anika you don't know Shivaay Singh Oberoi. I'll show you,' Shivaay spoke with fire in his eyes. 'Shivaay, what are you talking about?' Omkara broke Shivaay's monologue.
Omkara had never seen his brother, the great SSO at a loss for words before. Within seconds he composed himself. 'How much of that did you hear?' Shivaay asked, calmly shutting the door. 'Enough to know that you aren't going into this marriage with good intentions. Do you even love her?' Omkara asked concerned. 'I would love... to ruin her.' before, he could finish the sentence, Shivaay felt a hard knock on his face. Omkara didn't even give him a chance to recover before landing another punch. Omkara was about to go in for a third punch when he Jhanvi's voice on the other side of the door.
'Shivaay? Beta? I'm probably the last person you want to see right now but I just wanted to give you my blessings. I'm so proud of the man you've become. So unlike your father. Ever since that wretched man walked out on us, I never thought I'd know happiness but today you have made me the happiest woman alive. Treat Gauri well. She reminds me of a younger me. I would be shattered if something happened to her. I'll see you downstairs beta.' The last two sentences affected Omkara deeply. He was about to tell his Mother what Shivaay was planning but now he couldn't. He hoped his mother's words had affected Shivaay too. He turned to look at Shivaay who looked like he was contemplating something and the next moment he smirked. 'Great! One stone, two birds,' Shivaay beamed. Omkara had to think fast so he did what any son would do. He knocked his brother over the head!
Omkara was dragging an unconscious Shivaay into the walk-in closet when the doors swung open and in walked a man. Omkara stood rooted at the spot and released the breath he was holding when he realised the guy was on his phone. 'Where is Shivaay?' Rudra asked the stranger. 'Downstairs,' Om replied. Rudra nodded and made towards the door when something caught his eye; a scrunched up photograph. He bent down to pick it up when he saw an arm behind the couch, by the stranger's feet. He looked up at Omkara who looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
'You killed jiju?' were the only words that left a shocked Rudra's mouth.
