I basically checked out the moment Shivaay left OM the one hour after their wedding. What weird butchering of the storyline all to postpone the SR. In my eyes, Shivaay would not be gone for 15 straight days without sending a notification (like hello, a text message takes like 5 seconds). Anika should have been shown distraught and then furious, instead they gave her the superpower of "vishwaas" for two weeks which then continued on once Shivaay came back.

All this "pseudo-separation" was just some lame plot line to bring the girl into OM. Now why this girl had to be brought in as Shivaay's "wife" is beyond me. She could have been Om's friend, Rudy's friend, Prinku's friend, Soumya's sister, Jhanvi's great-niece whatever. I am of the opinion that HS only knows how to write light-hearted scenes. It has been a colossal mistake for Gul to utilise her as the main writer for all the dramatic tracks of the script. It's showing very badly

I've been watching the Shivika scenes as stand-alones this week, that's the only way to really digest this whole plot, because nothing even makes sense. TRP audiences are showing signs of fatigue, so I hope they give the makers their thumbs down for this week's episodes

ok so lets forget that shivaay's dialogues and assurances were half baked - he said he did this to save his family as casually as i ask my friends to go out for brunch every weekend, mind you i dont put my partner in a limbo for these brunch dates but just hinting at the casual nature of his comments. also his family, mind you not theirs / ours - so she is still not really family for him yet - got it. ok, lets even forget this technicality for a bit - shivaay did this whole drama to save his bade papa - a known womanizer, who paraded his rakhel in front of his family for years 😕 which lead to his jaan se pyaara bro - Om's unginat suicide attempts, his pyaari ma - who basically got him kidnapped, got his look alike, got his wife chucked out, gives a damn about his happiness - and shakti, and spineless janvi - so for all these people (except shakti) he was ready to forget, humiliate his wife who almost died for him on several occasions. ok totally fine - a day in a husband's life to be so casual about his wife - got it as well, no worries - wont question shivaay's motives here as i have resigned to the fact that by the time this show ends we might know oberoi mansion as shivaay's harem mansion - and all the teenage fan girls will go crazy over it like no tomorrow - nayi soch you see and exactly what every teenage girl is striving for in her life right now - totally get it 😆

what has royally bothered me is the way shivika saw the factory video with voice overs of people screaming while all the four extras (sorry senior oberois) run out. the fact that all of them came looking for each other and didnt even wait for a second to see if the other person they came looking for who by the way are their so called brothers, spouses etc. when the fire broke out is alive or not and just ran for their lives has me baffled - excuse i will get for this is that that video didnt capture everything - SUREEE. workers toh saste log hain so unke baare mein toh kya sochna when u cant even think about ur own family.
but please pay close attention to the way shivika watched it - like a factory burning with truckloads of people is an every day affair, also dont forget the amazing fact that the lives of those people were not imp as i saw zero expression of empathy on their faces. especially anika's who was always empathetic about others - yes i know they died 25 years ago but how many of us read or watch videos of calamities so casually. none of them reacted to lives lost - the whole premise of that convo was lets get to the bottom of the truth to save the family & not to bring anyone to justice. and sorry these are the protagonists and abhay who lost his parents or family supposedly in this factory wild fire is the antagonist - someone explain to me how??????

PS: only sensible people respond, not looking for a teenage response saying we got the cheek rub so everything is justified. i saw shivika supporting a crime their family committed today more than anything else 😕 (Yes not proven but casual nature of that video scene has made me question why the f**k i even started watching this show)

Shivaay's reaction I could understand. His family comes first, no matter what. I was really surprised at Anika's reaction. I thought she would have more empathy than what she showed when presented with those videos

As always bang on..couldn't agree with you more. The way you describe the nuance of the issue is always treat to read.. 👏 lol ty Santhi ... I always feel I rant on but I can't help it - it is GulNeets fault 🤣

I was so down and disconnected with IB for the same reason. I tried to avoid watching it but my love and addiction for Shivika is not leaving me.. 😭

So today I watched in detached mode completely ignoring their situation and third angle. . So I enjoyed their scenes in bits and pieces.Makers are so lucky they got incredible actors like NM SC

The ShivIka I watch now is basically what I see as clips and scenes as well now, not as a whole . They have lost that connection for me at this point now because they don't feel like a 'real' husband -wife couple like they did

The writer brought in this 'other woman' track and just killed whatever little was left after the forced separation for both characters. Here I don't just see Shivvay at fault - I see Annika at fault as well

To be honest till date I didn't had an issue with Shivaay's misbehavior towards Annika( few complaint during separation track but then again I gave him a pass for his brotherly love) - MU , forced marriage because I took him as a grey person and is completely justified to his character traits.
If you ever get the chance to read my take on the forced marriage you will see that i had written the very same thing.
I made it clear that though I did not condone the forced marriage, that is who Shivvay was then essentially. He was very true to his character and even though he was wrong as per the laws of society he was not wrong in being who he was because he was being the 'Protector' then.
He was dark, ruthless, cold and completely uncaring of who got sacrificed at his Family altar, provided his Naam, Khoon and Khandan were kept safe. But this is NOT the same Shivvay now and the same rules CANNOT be applied to him here after the character progression and the change in the dynamics between ShivIka.

a. Annika is not JUST Family. She being the oldest BAHU is infact the pride and respect of his Family and his own respect as HIS WIFE. He says he is safeguarding the family respect from what might spill out into the media because of the video but yet he insults that same Family Pride (Annika) in front of the whole media (he himself has called) and disowns her.
So for me the man is completely false and totally shallow now when I see him with Annika
b. This Shivvay would have at least flinched seeing the expression on his wife's face when he introduced Tanya as his wife and would have mentally sworn to apologize at the first opportunity provided when the truth came out. He has not.
c. This Shivvay would have taken an opportunity or at least created on to have a heart-to-heart with Annika assuring her that he knew how much it must have hurt her to hear him say those words in front of the media. Instead writer is giving us some childish comedy in its place.

I am, or should I say was now, a hardcore Shivvay fan even when he was Dark and Ruthless but only because he is not the easiest character to write and to make lovable, not because I admired him as a man. Through the whole progress of turning from Beast to Man, he always stuck to his true character and I admired the writer for doing that.

All that Shivvay was and did is not something that is easily forgivable and forgettable for a woman who went through what Annika went through. Still the writer showed his gradual progression and I followed that with great interest ... my posts will prove that. Even during the separation there was a kinda vague justification for him acting and responding the way he did and I could never digest the way the writer brought it about ... it was half baked but everyone seems to have forgotten that as well ...lol

Now after his declaration of love and his public proposal with all the progress made she decides she can reboot him and take him backwards on a rewind right before our eyes !??? Well she is sadly mistaken if she thinks she can ever create that dark ruthless charm again because we have already witnessed the devoted and loving 'Husband' Shivvay ... the Brute Shivvay died when his mother told him the truth

Hence this other woman angle does not sit well with me because it has loop holes so big that elephants could walk through them 😆😆

To anyone outside his family he is ruthless and judgmental. But now she is your rightful wife for whom he gave 15 mins of love monologue and had a dream wedding. My main problem is again Om has to make him realize that he is hurting Annika and sorry I kind find felt NM was off during today's emotional hug scene there is no guilt, sadness that he is doing this to love of his life who he claims can't see tears in her eyes. Irony.. Exactly ... you are so right

I'd say it was painful seeing hubby leaving his wife on their first night and all but why did he do it is the bigger issue here. Someone knows that Annika is the ultimate strength Shivaay has. She has saved the Oberois from cut throat situations. The same person(not revealed yet) is targeting the senior members keeping the great wall of Sso distracted and his support system out of the picture. That's why Tanya is here-to avoid Shivaay discussing his issues with Annika coz together they can face the wrath and save their family.

Life is complicated and everything is always a mess. We would never get shivika happy and out of trouble as long as Ishqbaaaz is running. This is the policy in all the shows be it Hollywood or tellywood. Being a huge game of thrones fan I'd further add that life is a roller coaster ride and death is the doom-an end to every dilemma in the world. So never expect shivika to be free of all the issues. That would be the greatest mistake by the fandom.

Adding further, dear fandom pls stop bashing harneet if you don't have any idea where the plot is going coz we always get answers to all our questions and bashed at some point of time and are dumbstruck. Keep the entertainment n surprises alive for the series. Being curious is good for the show but useless bashing is harmful.

Even if I agree with your theory of Annika being the strength of Great Wall of SSO n to keep him distracted Tanya was called in. I beg to differ that in order to achieve that aim she needed to be introduced as his wife publicly and given the rights of wife. We are not demanding happy Shivika always, I wanted them to be portrayed as a normal couple how after marriage the couples behave and take the responsibility of family. Do you think all normal married couples in the world have a third angle hanging in there. My problem is that marriage has been made a mockery in this show. The same episode where you show the Shivika marriage culminating you show the entry of this new wife, I sorry I find nothing noteworthy to give benefit of doubt to writers here. The same show once showed the episodes of women empowerment and the same show is now bent on showing how a wife is treated right after marriage, I.e announce someone else as your wife in front of media, take new woman to your bedroom, don't recognize your wife and be determined to make this facade real. Doesn't he owe an explanation to his wife regarding his actions. Do you think in real life if this kind of situation happens wife will be sitting at home n doing comedy even though I love Annika's comedy but I don't enjoy it in the current situation. When the writers say that IB is a trend setter n clutter breaking n Annika is truly the Nayi Soch , so it means she is also sending out a message to people watching the show. Now with this Shivika Tanya angle I am clueless what message our writers want to send out to viewers. There are other ways for Tanya to enter OM n keep a watch on SSO , I feel for that wife's declaration wasn't needed and it's utter nonsense for me. So I am sorry I beg to differ from you and we are just putting across our opinions and not bashing anyone. We have a right to express ourselves and we are expressing what we feel as a viewer.

Just wish this turn outs to be Anika's nightmare after sh8vay leaves to meet the blackmailer. We can reboot from last friday. No chance of that ... writer saheba enjoys watching and imagining Shivvay with women other than his wife while she has turned the wife into a very sharing and understanding woman who does not mind being humiliated in the least and infact provides comic relief for the woman he has on his arm

Its all good - the most accommodating marriage I have seen ... (bowing in veneration)

Cg I don't understand any reaction as what family are u talking about. If it was omru trust me I am with you - in this gang of 4 losers, 2 are scoundrels out of whom he refuses to acknowledge 1. And didn't Anika's love change him to be more human

Looks like shivaay's love changed her and made her a heartless ... as I don't want to use the b word. Love story of two criminal master minds is what it is right now 😆

The people NOW r liking the show I do not know how they enjoy romance, expect SR, enjoy his calling her neev after demolishing a woman's confidence, pride, honor everything by disowning her, when she loved him with all his might.
And what about her reaction!!?? That was classic !! He is the first husband in the history of mankind, I am sure, to pull a stunt like he did and apologize for some other matter altogether... I mean the writer has some serious issues man!!
She can't even make the man apologize for what he has really done ... some faltu thing key liye he is apologizing and Annika again cuts him off with some undying love crap
Let the damn man apologize properly woman!!!

Family problem we understand, And no, we do not want Anika to be above family, at least not anymore. But Anika is NOT equal as people claim, if she was equal, her emotions would have given a thought. bang on!!

And no where we have seen blackmailers threatening her life, or is it so lame for the writer sahiba to show him getting perplexed because her life is under threat. Yup!!! there is a sentence that he fears for her life but there is nothing saying that her life is in danger directly... that threat will be there whether he shares the blackmail or not and in fact if he shares at least she will be alert
Which husband who truly loves his wife will not alert her to danger around her either directly or indirectly. And this, Tanya having to be shown married to him and having to share a room with him, is purely writers and a fangirls fantasies.

And how spontaneously his mouth is uttering he has Tanya now, not even flincing or stuttering. LOL, people say drama hain Shivay ka, LOL, drama me bhi dusri aurat ka name saath me lene me hero ko flinch karna chaiye tha. Oh, ho if we accept that we r toh fool. I wonder how people r enjoying-kudos to them. Announcing someone else in front of media as wife is outright disgusting. yep!!! it is cringeworthy now to watch them flirt and romance ... it's like they have no morals, ethics or even respect for their marriage ... they are busy playing house with the other woman ...lol
That is maturity for a couple their age
