I don't have much expectations now,so taking the episode one at a time now... For me the only time we saw SSO really thinking about annika was when the lights went out and he knew she's alone and scared! ... that did not nullify the writer letting him announce Tanya as his wife as a public slap in front of the whole media ... this other woman angle was not necessary at all for this blackmail to happen

Otherwise I didn't see any pain or guilt from his side at all this week! But let's see if CVs do give us something tonight or like always CVs ignore annika!

so coming back this time i wont give my POV, i have already ranted a lot since Monday on this forum now... see we are so much invested in shivika that some fans are always justifying their actions. that's why this time i will put forward my mum's POV here, who is a simple trp viewer( well she watches on TV at least😆)
for one my mum didnt even know shivika got married if she didnt watch the repeats on the weekend, and then we all know what happened since Monday... surprisingly she kept her calm though she was a bit disappointed with this illogical reboot. but finally yesterday she give her POV, and that was based after that hug in the dark room... her words are
" she shouldnt have had to beg for this! her trust in him is commendable! but his lack of trust and compassion seeing her break like this is also a fact too. Guess the writer thinks marriage is only about romance or fights or blackmails or vows😆, she doesnt know that marriage is more that, it's about respect, trust, team, consideration and sharing... and much much more" This is the voice of wisdom speaking so I shall add no more ... thank you for sharing that

she clearly feels that SSO failed utterly this time. she also feels that SSO has taken Annika for granted, though she agrees that SSO sacrificing Annika isnt the issue, anyone will do anything for family and later repent, but Annika as his wife deserved the truth at least. ... and that is what my beef is as well ... he could have made some kind of attempt to at least try to hint to her that he was being forced to do this
But again that would not have even been necessary if this whole other women angle had not even been introduced ... I thought the writer was an amazing one with a lot of experience with successful plots but I guess here she is letting her heart rule - not the head ...lol

lol i havent discussed about Om yet with her, i wonder what she think about what Om did now😆

anyway like i said, the CVs havent themselves learnt anything from the mistake Annika did few months back, where she decided for them, and again SSO did them. Only difference Annika saw behind the fake acts while SSO never did then.

anyway i hope that we get something logical today from SSO, because as per synopsis he's gonna reveal Annika the truth.

I am just more bemused at the audience who can't see what a mockery of marriage/ relationship this is and keep defending the track due to a dumb cheek rub they got to watch. Wow slow claps for those who think that a woman needs to beg her husband to recognize their relationship after the most filmy vows he took just days ago and oh because he rubs her cheek sensuously - sorry forgot the most imp part as u see women are commodities to be treated like that ;)

I agree with your Pearl...and like NYC said that Shivika scenes have to be watched as stand alone ones. The story went down the drain long time ago. The latest trend is to use FF for most of the episode and watch the episode to enjoy Narbhi's performance for they take it up a notch every time. ... and that is true ... nowadays it is NarBhi selling IB not Shivvay and Annika ... the characters if replaced by anyone else other than NM and SC will never be able to pull off this sorry excuse for a plot that the writer has written with another woman being introduced by him as his wife.

Take NM out of the equation and put a married guy you know personally in his place ... would the same fans still accept this in real life??!!

This just makes me so sad! Takkar ki jodi, indeed! This is NO takkar ki jodi right now ...
I can even forgive him the fact that he got played and threw Annika out then during separation or forgive Annika then for playing him and turning him into that monster who threw her out because she then thought it was the right decision to make ... the writer somehow, in a very 'difficult to pill to swallow' way, made us see the point behind that happening ... though I feel it could still have been made a little less brutal than she did ... but shock value (forced marriage) is what this PH house aims for always so we let that rest

But now for the writer to make a committed, strong, fearless and madly in love man like Shivvay into this shallow creature who announces another women to the media as his wife while his wife (who he supposedly loves more than his life itself) stands there humiliated is not working for me...
She as a writer needs to give full justification to her audiences for such a disgusting and pathetic plot ... when you are a writer, singer or a public figure you are accountable for your actions you make in the name of creativity ... what you do in your private life is completely your concern
Just as she holds other public figures, I am sure, accountable for their professional actions she is accountable for her creative ones, especially when they send the wrong social message to women watching

Man who repeatedly insults wife with no repercussions, and wife who takes it all without getting even the slightest bit angry. And then after all the begging and pleading and crying for recognition, he holds her and says 'Annika' apparently... and twitter reaction: "omg! He said 'Annika'!! The best husband ever!". Can you imagine?!

I do feel for the impressionable young girls who think this is the norm, but I'm even sorrier for the married women who seem to think emotions other than anger and lust from a man are unacceptable, that they make him a woman! ... and word right there !!!! Nothing more to add 👏

Agh! What's the point of getting myself worked up about ppl's reactions to a fictional show, right? Just wish the lady writer had a sense of responsibility to the audiences in stead of writing any trope that sells. True ... but I am sure you are not worked up - you are just appalled that this is not only churned out by an educated lady but also being lapped up by other educated ones all in the 21st century 😆

i watched the first shivika scene properly now

so someone please clarify this doubt for me as i am missing something here - to say i was disturbed is an under statement as this royally destroys shivika for me

ok so lets forget that shivaay's dialogues and assurances were half baked - he said he did this to save his family as casually as i ask my friends to go out for brunch every weekend, mind you i dont put my partner in a limbo for these brunch dates but just hinting at the casual nature of his comments. also his family, mind you not theirs / ours - so she is still not really family for him yet - got it. ok, lets even forget this technicality for a bit - shivaay did this whole drama to save his bade papa - a known womanizer, who paraded his rakhel in front of his family for years 😕 which lead to his jaan se pyaara bro - Om's unginat suicide attempts, his pyaari ma - who basically got him kidnapped, got his look alike, got his wife chucked out, gives a damn about his happiness - and shakti, and spineless janvi - so for all these people (except shakti) he was ready to forget, humiliate his wife who almost died for him on several occasions. ok totally fine - a day in a husband's life to be so casual about his wife - got it as well, no worries - wont question shivaay's motives here as i have resigned to the fact that by the time this show ends we might know oberoi mansion as shivaay's harem mansion - and all the teenage fan girls will go crazy over it like no tomorrow - nayi soch you see and exactly what every teenage girl is striving for in her life right now - totally get it 😆

what has royally bothered me is the way shivika saw the factory video with voice overs of people screaming while all the four extras (sorry senior oberois) run out. the fact that all of them came looking for each other and didnt even wait for a second to see if the other person they came looking for who by the way are their so called brothers, spouses etc. when the fire broke out is alive or not and just ran for their lives has me baffled - excuse i will get for this is that that video didnt capture everything - SUREEE. workers toh saste log hain so unke baare mein toh kya sochna when u cant even think about ur own family.

but please pay close attention to the way shivika watched it - like a factory burning with truckloads of people is an every day affair, also dont forget the amazing fact that the lives of those people were not imp as i saw zero expression of empathy on their faces. especially anika's who was always empathetic about others - yes i know they died 25 years ago but how many of us read or watch videos of calamities so casually. none of them reacted to lives lost - the whole premise of that convo was lets get to the bottom of the truth to save the family & not to bring anyone to justice. and sorry these are the protagonists and abhay who lost his parents or family supposedly in this factory wild fire is the antagonist - someone explain to me how??????

PS: only sensible people respond, not looking for a teenage response saying we got the cheek rub so everything is justified. i saw shivika supporting a crime their family committed today more than anything else 😕 (Yes not proven but casual nature of that video scene has made me question why the f**k i even started watching this show)

I posted a similar thread a few days back with my opinion that i have never been convinced on shivaay's apology to anika regarding the forced marriage because i have not seen him introspect with the feelings that HE was wrong .. all he has said is Anika should get what she deserves .. but even after 350 episodes i am waiting for one scene where shivaay clearcut accepts tha he was the beast and he has to apologize .. and to top that ..anika was NEVER given an angry reaction to-it.. NEVER .. she was made heartbroken on the reception with tia .. note heartbroken .. NOT angry !

This created a huge bashing round where ppl blamed me that i have not been watching the show .. and that shivaay has done so much for anika that ppl cant expect him to clealry say I AM SORRY .. we are just suppose to understand that he is sorry .. a logic above my head seriously but fine thier opinion but getting shell shocked that there are pol who still not convinced was wierd and funny !

Now coming to the current track . SC is SUCH a brilliant actress .. her pleading today was so so well enacted that i had to overlook how borderline sadistic is it. My problem with the whole track is why couldn't you spin all this a little where anika didnt have to be the one insulted.

Anika could have been the one suggesting to hide thier marriage, they could have made her a sansakari bahu and made shivaay look less of a senseless person that way .. but NO ! They chose the old age conventional way where anika has to go thru an insult, then she has to come to plead to shivaay .. no matter what he does .. in the forced marriage case she pleaded him to tell her why HE was angry ( daksh sleeping one) and now she had to remind him OF vows and stuff ..

Shivaay's justification of neev of the wall was also beautiful , i liked it .. but why do the writers have it it all in a manner that it insults the FL?

Also, i seriously dont understand this delay in SR .. i mean just get done with it yaar .. how many times are they gonna bring them close sensoulsy and then stop and then go back and almost kisss and all .. it is becoming funny now .. they are mature individuals .. it was a cute for a while but now its desperate

These kinds of posts remind me how convoluted and twisted IB is as a story, and how I have stopped watching this show for a good story.

I think I have simply stayed back for token romance now, especially after the most convoluted separation that still should be a thing Shivika talk about.

I think, at the end of the day, if Shivaay was in Annika's place then he sadly would have done the exact same thing as her. Ask her why. Ask her for reasons. Because he would have grown to question her finally.

Shivaay and Annika are way too immersed in each other sometimes. It's almost unhealthy how much they love each other.

I agree with your interpretation of the scene, that's what it appeared to be, if you have been following the story from the get go, and its characters traits, but somewhere when they decided to forcefully separate the couple for whatever arc- Joan of arc, Noah's arc... etc etc, and the audience response to the aftermath ended up completely derailing the story itself! At least for me it did.
Many people have already commented here when Annika hugs Shivaay in the room, afraid of the dark, her begging , desperate plea to him asking him to confirm that he does remember her and that she is his wife, was so heart wrenching, I felt so bad for her, poor girl finally in her life feels like she belongs to someone and got the taste of a somewhat of a family/husband, relationship- she now does not want to let go of it at any cost... and even though later he says he does not want to put her in harms way, it lacks the conviction because of the constant yo yo in the storyline, to me it feels like, he knows she is not going anywhere... she will eventually forgive him!!
God forbid my husband tries to pull a stunt like this on me- whether he has actually lost his memory or not, he is going to spend his day in the dog house!! It does not mean that wife always has to fight or quarrel but when the time to exert your opinion or your right that must be done then and there, it's a matter of one's own self respect, if you don't give yourself any importance and are the sacrificial lamb, everytime, that becomes normal for others, I have seen this happening to my aunt growing up, now even if she tries to assertain herself no one including her kids pay attention.. this is the truth unfortunately...

It looked similar with the other pair in the show Om and Gauri but looks like they got some lines today, she actually expressed how he has been assasinating her character all this while and she has been forgiving him in the hopes of things getting better but alas she fell in love with the wrong person and some more powerpacked dialogues, they were the show stoppers to me in today's episode.. but I am too afraid as to how they are going to show Om's redemption? With these CV's you never know, this may go the comical way too and Gouri is back in Oberoi Mansion in 2 episodes!!

So what's the solution for all the mess it creates in my head, I will FF the scenes, if they don't interest me or pretend like each day is a new episode, because lately that's how it looks like, lol

Just my two cents... not meant to hurt anyone's emotions or opinion..

@bold - exactly my point. i am not expecting much when i say i expect a girl to have some spine. also not expecting much when i expect them to show the lead pair as law abiding citizens. casually talking about gazillion people's death and how to save their family from a conviction is not what i expected - expected both of them to show some empathy towards lives lost not remorse mind u - dont expect them to be crusadors but humans thats all - with basic HUMAN traits which even a child posseses when he/ she knows THE difference between right and wrong.

and no this does not show they are madly in love. this shows that harneet is snorting something illegal to use any brain cells to put a decent scene together with conviction and flow 😆😆

in all this i have totally forgotten the lame third angle, enacted by a lame actress who cant give more than one expression which anyways makes her look like a mannequin. but when shivika are so royally destroyed how can i even focus on this lame person.

looks like harneet wont give up on her addiction. and harneet- monal jantaa will laud anything in the name of getting some shivika body rubs 🤣

omg NYC you brought up another point which many didn't noticied. That's true not a small dialogue or empathy from them. This is disgusting to another level. 🤢
