Hour 11:30 : Settling into his Arms!
Scene: Inside Annika's home
Scene overview: The day has just started for Shivaay and Annika in the chawl. How is Shivaay going to live in a chawl and make some beautiful memories with his Annika.
Time : 06:30 am
She had work to do! Her long list of chores included, filling water, getting the bathroom clean and ready, dusting and cleaning the house thoroughly and then running to Raghu kaka's store to stock up on the ration for the kitchen. Just 10 hours in her chawl and she was back to being who she was, the simple yet khidkitod Annika!
She could already hear the hum drum of people as they stood in line for the water. Her Shivaay staring session had cost her a good amount of time and now she had to be ready for all the hustle coming her way! As she went inside the kitchen to gather her ammunition, two hands snaked around her waist. The Baggad Billa had found an effortless way to sneak up on her, every single time!
"Shivaay... why did you wake up so early?"
Shivaay was still groggy she could sense it and so she turned in his arms and cupped his sleepy face and ordered him to go back to sleep! He slowly fluttered his eyelids and their foreheads met!
"How can I sleep while my wife prepares to conquer the world on her own? Tch tch not happening Ani! We shall split the chores just like normal husband and wife do"
She was mesmerized, not only by his words but at the sincerity of his thoughts. A sense of pride filled her heart as she went on to wrap her arms around him!
It indeed was a good morning for her. The ones you read about in novels! In the arms of the one you love.
"Hmm so my biwi wants to romance morning morning, not bad" mocked Shivaay as Annika hit him playfully before pulling away.
Shivaay earnestly wanted to help her and Annika was not about to take away this experience from him. The chores were divided, peacefully and fairly.
Annika took on the task of cleaning the bathroom and the house.
Shivaay took the task of stocking food and filling water! Yes. The great Shivaay Singh Oberoi was going to stand in a line and fill water for his home.
Annika was about to create and be a part of history! She couldn't wait. She explained him the rules and gave him the three buckets that he needed to fill.
Shivaay was now ready for his first challenge. They fist bumped, Annika patted him in the back as he walked outside.
This was going to be fun!

Hour 12:30 : You are my Signal Fire!
Scene: Outside, in the open veranda inside the chawl premises.
Scene overview: Brace yourself as the tadibaaz billu starts his journey to become the Aam-aadmi singh oberoi.
Time : 07:30 am
Shivaay Singh Oberoi had never stood in a line. In fact their journey had started because he had not stood in a line at the temple, unleashing the sherni in Annika.
And here he was today standing with three buckets waiting for his turn to fill water. Times had changed and how! A small smile tugged his lips as he thanked his stars for being the tadibaaz he was or else how would he have met his takkar ki Annika?
With thoughts filled with Annika's cute antics and mannerisms an hour had passed as Shivaay stood in the line patiently waiting for his turn! Mosquitoes had started to bite and his kurta had started to turn wet! His patience was wearing off and his legs had started to hurt. The process was slow and cumbersome and he was at the brink of his patience, when a shrill voice pierced the peace. Two women had started to quarrel. The two couldn't seem to decide who had pushed who first and thus ensued a battle of words exchanged at a decibel level that he couldn't bear.
The SSO in him took over, as he left the buckets and went on to confront them. His blood was boiling as they had blocked the entire line not letting it move forward. He snapped. Asked them to shut up or face his wrath. And his voice was enough to draw attention from every single soul around.
Suddenly the air changed, and he knew he was in trouble. The two women turned and formed an unspoken pact, as if by the law of birth they had the right to intimidate him. He braced for the impact as it came straight and harsh!
"Arrey tu Kaun hai hamare beech mein bolne wala?"
"Yeh toh koi naya lagta hai, Pehle kabhi nahi dekha"
" Naya hoke humse panga? Kaunsi kholi hai Teri"
Billu was cornered and he was at a loss here. He tried explaining them that his intentions were good as he wanted everyone to get water.
Words backfired, pangaas and pacts made as they prepared to fight their target. He was new to this. He didn't know that the rules clearly said not to ever be the third one in a fight of two women from the chawl.
He was cornered and how! But Shivaay Singh Oberoi didn't like being cornered, did he? The bickering continued, while he tried his best to explain. It was all getting too much for him. The noise, the heat, the mosquitoes wanting to suck blood off him. He made up his mind to stop this one for all, after all he was SSO. When suddenly he remember that part of Dadi's challenge was to not just survive in a chawl, but do it without using his name and power.
"Shit. I am damned."
The ladies had gathered a crowd and he was now kicked out from the line. The two women were probably frustrated from their daily routine and had found their perfect punchbag for the day! He braced for an impact.
Just then came his Sherni, shielding his body with her petite frame. Ready to take on the world for him.
"Aey haath kaise lagaya inko?"
"Aapko samjha rahe they na? Kaki aap dono ki toh roz ki katkat hai? Apne pangey alag jaake solve karo, hum yaha paani ke liye khadey hai"
They had just instigated the queen of quarreling. She looked like fire, in all her glory! A small smile crept up his face. He was liking this. Oh, he was loving it. He had missed this Annika of his. While he admired her, she had pulled up her sleeve and continued to fight. He was snapped out of his Annika Admiring session as his Sherni yelled.
" Shivaay paani bhariye mein Bhi dekhti hoon Kaun hamey rokta hai"
His lioness roared. She was not going to let anyone even come near him. Once a fighter, always a fighter!
She was his and he was hers. Truly in every sense. The world has to know it. And now was a damn good time for them to say it.
