Hi everyone! Have mostly been a very silent member in this forum, following the talks on EDT and Shivika AT now and then. But I am equally a mad fan of Shivika with all their highs and lows. When I heard of the third challenge i.e the chawl track I was very excited. This track had a potential like none other to show even greater progress in Shivaay and Annika's characters. I must admit I was largely disappointed with it and so here comes this small series on some things that this track should have included.
These are going to be small updates and I am an amateur writer so please forgive me for my mistakes. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Hour 05:30 : Her Sanctuary!
Scene: Inside Annika's home
Scene overview: This is the much needed continuation of the night scene of Shivika after she reveals her reason for being scared of the dark.
Time : 12:30 am
She was at peace. She was safe. She was here and she was with him!
The serenity that spread on her face as sleep and exhaustion took over her entire form, was unmatched by any other feeling in the world. Shivaay's fingers lingered on her tear stricken face for a while longer, before he went on to clear the tracks off her face. His heart constricted with an unknown emotion as he watched her rhythmic heart beat finally find a harmony of it own, and his heartbeat matched it too! She was safe, and she was here with him!
The moonlight danced through the window and cast a halo on these two forms, highlighting the peace and love that embodied them in the moment. Shivaay slowly untangled his hand from her and got off the small bed he had made her sleep on, and made his way to the window. The night was calm yet there was something unsettling to it.
Shivaay was now exactly where he stood with Annika in his protective embrace. The light breeze hit his face and all he could think of was the moments of love that he shared with his Annika. She had stormed into his life, with all her tadi and messed up vocabulary, and literally redefined everything. A small smiled played on his lips as he reflected on the journey that defined his existence today. And right here in the moment he knew she was his to love. His to protect. His till eternity! The past was his to learn from and the future will be his to make!
The thought about past brought his thoughts to the ugly confession Annika had just made in his arms! His Annika had been abused. The strong lioness of his was once made to quiver and shiver in fear and just the thought of it made his blood boil!
Shivaay turned back and gave her a look of affection! He failed to grapple with the strength this woman of his possessed. Strong was an understatement for her at the moment. She had no reason to be the pure soul she was after it had been savaged and butchered by the same people who were to protect her! But here she was, more of a human than he had been to her.
And she was safe. Safe with him, and that she would always be!
Annika mumbled in her sleep. Her body turned of its own accord as she felt a wave of fear hit her! Shivaay was shaken, in just two strides he was next to her. He took her hand in his and entwined his fingers in hers. He knew she could do this alone, she could fight it as she has always. But he was here now. He would be here even as it shredded his soul to watch her wither in pain. As a new wave of fear gripped her, tears fell of their accord! Shivaay's free hand cupped her face as she fought her pain, her misery!
"Chutki" " Mat Maro mujhe" "Chutki...please mat..."
This was all he could hear. All he could understand. A shot of pain rose through his entire being. His Annika had lost, but still fought! Her would was burnt yet she kept it free from all the bad in the world! He couldn't stop his tears as a wave of overwhelming love filled his heart! He couldn't fathom his feelings at the moment. They were so shattered in the pieces of her love, yet it completed him!
As Annika lost yet another battle with exhaustion and fear, he felt her heartbeat slow down as it adjusted to his! He wrapped her arms around her, placing light feather kisses on her head!
With each kiss came a promise not just to protect her but to slowly let her pain absolve in him! Be a wall that would not just stand with her but would also take every blow that came her way! Be it in the day or at night when her ravenous dreams tormented her! From today it was all going to be his too! It's not going to be Shivaay Singh Oberoi protecting his wife, but 'sirf Shivaay' being the Great Wall for his 'sirf Annika'- the woman who had become a part of his soul, his existence!
As sleep overtook him, there was just one thought in his head!
Tomorrow was going to be a new day. A new beginning. A new start to their journey! This time as Annika's Shivaay!
And as Shivaay Singh Oberoi a promise to hunt them down and destroy them!
As sleep wrapped him, a small smile tugged on her lips as she found her sanctuary! Her safe place!
*She was safe. She was safe and she was here with him!*
