Part Nine- Confessions and a big revelation

Annika and Gauri rushed inside Mrs. Sharma's small but cozy home. Omkara was waiting there with Gauri's amma. Shivaay, Rudra and Bhavya quickly arrived soon after them.

Amma wanted to seat her daughter and jetani but chaos prevailed amongst the six younger people in the room with her. Quick questions and impatience was evident on everyone's faces except for herself and Omkara who were now privy to the truth the six youngsters had set out to find two days ago. They had searched and researched locations, Annika tried to recall clues from her childhood with not much progress until she and Gauri had been to the temple.

Then of course she and Omkara made the actual discovery of the truth.

Omkara and Amma calmly silenced the other five people who had not yet relaxed.

"Guys listen to Maaji and I. We know where Annika's chutki is, in fact we are all very close to her already, Omkara stated.

Shivaay looked at Omkara.

"Yes Shivaay, our suspions were correct. Chutki somehow got adopted before Sahil's parents met Annika years later. The family that took Chutki only had the ability to take one child. They fell in love with her and had to leave Annika behind, Omkara stated.

"So kaun hai meri Chutki. Kahan hai woh, Annika cried with relief her sister had not been harmed.

"Gauri Omkara Singh Oberoi meet your sister Annika Shivaay Singh Oberoi!, Omkara declared.

The girls exchanged stunned looks. Shivaay, Amma,Rudra and Bhavya laughed in joy.

Gauri had held onto Annika when they arrived.

Now they embraced each other with all their mights.

Gauri stepped back and wiped her sister's tears.

" Sorry didi, aap ko bauth jhel na pada mere bina, she whispered.

Annika shook her head.

"Nahin Chutki, mere liye yeh sahi ke tu theek hai, Annika said caressing her hair.

Later Amma took everyone aside and apologized that she couldn't take Annika with her back then.

"Nahin auntie, shant ho jaiye. Aap ne merei chutki ko pala, bada kiya, aur ab saath mein hamesha rehenge, Annika declared.

Shivaay looked at her adoringly.

He knew their bond and love would grow but now with a deeper connection to the Oberoi family, there was a lesser chance he would ever lose his wife.

After dinner, Annika wandered outside to sit on the swing set. Gauri had gone to help her mother make space for everyone to sleep.

Stars lite the dark sky above her. She sighed. She knew what she and Shivaay had would be unbreakable if they both continued to work on their relationship each day. However she was concerned about his bond with his mother. Would Pinky Auntie ever accept her ? She did not want the past to come haunting their lives again.

She felt a warm hand on her shoulder, she turned around to meet blue orbs.

" Kaise lagra hai ab?, he asked.

She smiled brightly.

"Everything is fine except for one thing, she muttered.

He looked at her concerned.

"Woh kya hai?

"Pinky Auntie aur aap ka rishta..

He sighed.

"Mom will come back when she is ready to accept you as my wife. Until then even Dad ne chahte ki woh vaapis aaye, her husband declared.

" I will speak to Shakti Uncle when we return. I just feel uneasy when I think about how much distress she is going through right now, Annika lamented.

"What about the distress she put you in Annika? I don't want to talk about my mother now. Tonight we should celebrate love, sisterhood, brotherhood and family. Relax. We all have been out and about so many hours, he insisted.

Annika agreed for the time being. She didn't want to hurt him.

He switched modes like he was apt to do when he wasn't getting his way.

He pulled her close to him and caged her into an intimate embrace.

It was the first time all three couples would be sharing a room. It was hard for them to sleep because they were excited for future adventures. The girls were pleased to know now their bond was stronger than ever that they could take on the boys when needed in tadibaazi if required.

Shivaay's gaze on Annika made her blush. Omkara looked at Gauri more tenderly than he had since the first time they met. He had come to realize that he needed to give her a fair chance. Rudra and Bhavya needed to set relationship goals, Rudra needed to let her do her duty and he needed to find his own manzil career wise especially.

They joked about possible career options for Rudra, Bhavya shared stories of her police academy days.

"Main bauth khush hoon ki main ab sab se mili. Before meeting Rudra, I was always about work and reaching Sultan. Now I know my family would also want me to be happy as well, Bhavya declared.

Next the topic turned to Omkara and his willinginess to give his marriage a fair shot.

"Main Gauri ke saat poor zindagi bitne ki liye tayar hoon, Omkara admitted.

She had become his muse for next set of his artwork. He of course would not reveal this aloud now. He did not want to lose his motivation and inspiration. He needed to develop a better understanding of Gauri and develop his muse further.

Gauri sensed some mystery behind her husband's words and actions. Yes he was the more quiet and reserved of the brothers, but his eyes spoke volumes without much effort. She hoped like her sister and Shivaay, that they would develop a stronger relationship.

Annika declared she wanted to start working again. While the others were encouraging, Shivaay was stunned.

" Annika what is there the need for you to work? Tum aram se ghar pe rahe sakti ho, he stated.

" Shivaay if Annika wants to do something on her own, let her be, Omkara advised.

" It's not about need to work Shivaay. I want to work, Annika stated.

" Fine you can train with Mishra then we can get rid of him if you want, Shivaay replied.

"Haw!

"Bhaiya, Jiju, why?

Shivaay looked at them puzzled.

"What's the big deal? She can be my personal assistant. That way she is safe and she can..

"No way Shivaay! Main aapna kuch karna chahti hoon, she hissed.

"Kya karogi tum?

"Jo pelhi kiya tha. Event managing like planning weddings.

"Ek shart par.

"Kya?, all asked in unison.

"The groom better be in love with the bride and stay far from you!

All laughed at Shivaay's statement.

The next morning, all got ready and left for Mumbai. They promised Amma they would come visit again and have her come when things settled down at home.

She wished them well and said good bye teary eyed especially to Annika and Gauri.

The six were happy, joking around as they entered the mansion later that day. They had taken their time on the return home , stopped at dhabbas, where Shivaay was skeptical about the hygiene of the food preparation. However they finally convinced him to have something.

As they entered the hall, they were stunned to see Shakti and Dadi looking nervous, the youngsters were about to inquire as to what had happened when the person they weren't expecting to be there approached them.

" Toh tum log maaze karke aagaye, Pinky stated.

Annika started to walk backwards unsure how to respond.

Shivaay held by her waist. He suddenly picked her up in his arms and walked past his mother without saying a word. He signaled his father to join him.

Dadi followed her son towards her grandson and her granddaughter-in-law.

"Shivaay put me down!, Annika hissed.

He complied.

"Dad , woh kab aayi?

"Aaj subha, Shakti mustered.

"Has she learned her lesson?, Shivaay asked.

Dadi fidgeted with her dupatta.

Meanwhile..

"Toh aap vaapis agagi, Omkara stated simply.

"Haan. I see Shivaay hasn't changed and Annika is still around, Pinky stated.

"Bhabhi ko kuch sab kuch yaad agaya, Rudra stated firmly. He gave his aunt a stern look.

Bhavya and Gauri pondered what was Pinky's plan now.

" Kya aap naraz hain choti maaji?, Gauri asked.

"Ek baat batao, usse sab kuch yaad agaya?, Pinky asked.

" Haan auntie, Bhavya muttered.

"Phir divorce ke baad yeh yahaan kyun hai?,

"Kyunki meine divorce kabhi file nahin kiya, Shivaay declared from behind his mother.

She turned to face him and Annika.

Annika exchanged looks with Shivaay.
