Part Ten- The Heart of the Matter
"Lekin tumne toh media ke samne sign kiye the, Pinky exclaimed.
" I found out the reason behind Annika's actions, Shivaay declared.
Pinky paled.
" How could you Mom? Actually I can't believe main aap ko Ma bulara hoon, he lamented.
Annika's eyes filled with tears. But Dadi had just admitted Pinky wanted them to give her another chance. She loved her son and wanted to make things up to him.
Omkara signaled her not to say anything so she remained quiet. This was between Shivaay and his mother after all.
" Annika saved Prinku's life even after everything we put her through. She doesn't know where she is from, who her parents were but she is genuine. She always did her best to protect me. You told her I was Kamini and Dad's illegimate son. How could you Mom?, Shivaay exclaimed.
" It was to get you away from this good for nothing girl! Why didn't you file for divorce Shivaay after everything she did that day?, she demanded.
Shivaay dried a few stray tears.
" You want to know why? Because I had a right to know the truth my wife was forced into believing. It was not just Annika's life you tried to ruin. You ruined me! How horrified I was to see Annika nearly dead. Her blood was all over Prinku's clothes, Shivaay yelled.
" Shivaay if I had know Prinku would land in trouble I would have never let her go to Ranveer, Pinky lamented.
"Kya karein hai Choti Ma, aap ne Prinku ka sauda karliya?, Rudra declared as Omkara clenched his teeth and fists.
Gauri soothed Omkara's grip.
"Gauri choti ma fell so low in runining my sister's life and she blamed Annika Bhabhi, Omkara muttered.
"Choti Maaji yeh aap ne theek nahin kiya Annika Didi aur Shivaay Jijaji ke saath, Gauri declared.
" Didi kaise huyi teri? Usse ka paas bas woh Sahil hai, Pinky declared.
Sahil approached them all.
" Nahin Gauri Didi, Annika Didi ke chutki hain.
"Oh greats now I have to deal with both of you now! No wonder you both have third class upbrings, Pinky snapped.
" Mrs. Pinky Singh Oberoi enough! Main aur meri biwi aur saali ke khilaaf aur kuch nahin suna chahta, he declared.
" You took a bullet for this girl and you don't even know anything about her! Main ma hoon tumari. To jo bhi hai meri vaja se hai, she lamented.
"Prinku ka sauda hone wala tha, isse ladkhi ne sab kuch dow ko lagake uski jaan beyachi hai, Shivaay declared.
"That doesn't mean she is fit to be your wife! I won't be sharing him with you!, Pinky said looking at Annika.
Annika's body shook. Pinky Auntie had done all this just to get her away from her son. Maybe she was better off leaving.
" Shivaay don't get angry with your mother. Main chale jati hoon, she said as she started walking past him.
He pulled her back by her wrist and pulled her to land on his chest. He gazed at her as to tell her not to move and trust him.
"Yes you will not be sharing me with Annika. Kyunki ab aap meri maa nahin rahi. I understand Nantarya was probably your plan too. Anyways I have accepted Annika despite all the naam khoon and khandan talks you have filled my head since I was a child. Ab aur nahin Mrs. Oberoi, he declared as he held Annika's hand and led her away.
Pinky fell to her knees and cried out for him as everyone else slowly walked away from her.
Everyone retired to their rooms for the night. The confessions from Pinky Singh Oberoi had shattered them all. Although they had suspected she was behind some of the events in the house the several months, they never knew how low she had really fallen.
Shivaay was in a glum mood. He paced around and wanted to console Annika but did not know what to say to her now.
Annika knew Shivaay was upset and could not bring himself to talk to her right now. She had to help him snap out of it. She went over to the pool area. Suddenly she slipped and fell in.
"Annika!, she had heard him yell for her.
But then everything went black.

A few minutes later she regained consciousness as she felt his hands on her chest doing compressions and then he leaned over her to do mouth to mouth.
She was wide awake as she felt his lips on hers. Her eyes flew open and when he pulled back she finally coughed up the water.
"Annika I am so glad ki tum theek ho!, he said as their wet bodies collided together.
She blushed as she pulled back feeling his warm chest through their now drenched clothing.
" Tum aise kaise behoosh hogayi thi? I think we should call the doctor. Let's get changed, he stated.
He pulled her up and carried her back to their bedroom.
His hands skimmed down to the hem of her shirt and pulled it off before she could stop him from helping her. Before she knew it her top was flung somewhere and she was wrapped in a bath robe.
He caressed her face lovingly before he leaned in to kiss her. The dam had broken yet again, as Shivaay pulled her close to him again.
She responded with equal fevor. She scratched his shoulders and back. She too reached down to the hemline of his shirt which was soon untucked from his pants. Feeling the graze of her fingertips on his stomach alerted him of their current situation and the fact she had just blacked out in the pool a short time before.
He pulled back.
He caressed her face.
" We shouldn't do this now, you aren't well, he muttered.
"Please Shivaay mujhe apne aap se dhoor mat kejhe, Annika pleaded.
He turned his eyes downcast, she approached him and lifted his chin up. This time she intiated the kiss.
He hesitated for merely seconds before picking her up in his arms and had her straddle him. Their need for each other.
He carried her into the bathroom and turned on the shower. He removed the robe from her body.
She stood there in her bra and jeans looking so sensationally delectable. He wanted to make her his every way but she deserved a proper wedding first.
" You deserve something better than this. I can't let our first night be like this, he muttered.
" Shivaay I have ruined all the other attempts you made because I was scared. You don't need to give me another wedding, just make me yours , Annika declared.
"No we will have our first night after our ...
" Mrs. ASSO wants you now. Don't make her mad now ok?
Annika pointed at his chest.
Shivaay stepped up to the challenge.
" What will Mrs. ASSO do if I don't comply?, he challenged.
" Shaadi hone ke baad bhi aap se dur rahengi, she retorted.
" Woh toh kar chuki hain, he hissed.
He headed towards her and attempted to remove her remaining clothes.
"Kya kare hain aap?, she asked flustered.
"Jo tum chahti ho, he said with a smirk.
She punched him slightly and pushed him out the door.
" Annika maybe I have changed my mind open the door!, he exclaimed.
" Nahin kholega!, she yelled back at him.
He stalked off.
She grinned. She went over and unlocked door after checking that he had moved away from the area.
"Let's see if he realizes, she said to herself.
Annika decided to take a bath and turned off the shower.
Shivaay listened through the door and realized the shower wasn't running. Had she fainted again?
He tried the knob and it flew open.
Annika was in the tub playing like a child.
"Hi Paanika, he said huskily into her ear.
"Aap yahaan kya kare hain?, she asked as she did not notice him coming in the room.
He traced a finger from her forehead down to her lips.
She gasped.
"This only the beginning Mrs. ASSO, he said huskily.
He quickly stripped down to his boxers and hopped in behind her.
" Time to give you a preview of our upcoming first night Annika, ready or not here I come, her husband whispered as he started his ministrations from behind her ears, to her neck, down towards her curves.
Sometime later, he wrapped her in a robe and grabbed another one for himself. They had almost lost control and become one today, but they decided to complete their first night the following week after a low key wedding.
Shivaay took to drying her hair. She smiled. Her Billuji was the best!
He led her back to their room. She reached for her pink night dress.
" It will match the blush on your face, he said softly.
She shied from his gaze. He stepped away from there with his own clothes.
He returned to see her lost in thought.
"Annika go change. Tum theek toh ho? You need to relax. I talked to the doctor. He said you need a stress free environment, he stated.
She nodded but was slow to move.
He placed a hand on her shoulder.
" If you can't do it on your own, should I help you, he smirked.
She nudged him. " Shivaay aap bhi na!
She blushed again and went to change.
He tucked her into bed once she emerged. She snuggled close to him. He kissed her hair and cheek. Her lips brushed against his chest hair.
He caressed her waist, she caressed his stubble and kissed his neck before they finally fell asleep in each other's arms.
