I for one was not surprised with Annika's insecurities. She knows he can love his family to a point beyond reason, but an outsider? He showed her in multiple ways, repeatedly, that his family came first for him, be it Pinky, his brothers or Prinku.. didn't he always place them above her? I am not surprised she's insecure about his love for her.

That dialogue and his hurt were such poignant moments though! and that last visual, of these two brokenhearted ppl looking in opposite directions, tears in their eyes.. my heart broke a little for them. Such incredible actors these two!

The second scene, all the unsaid words, his longing.. Sigh! Was a beautiful, beautiful episode! ❤️

A man who expresses himself.. his emotions via his actions.. finds it difficult to verbalize them... A Woman who understands and reciprocates his actions but needs words to finally accept and realize the actual emotions..😊

Shivaay was surprised that his actions did not convey his love(frankly so I was)... but he needs to understand Anika needs words.. things explicitly said.. because I guess.. once bitten twice shy... She will trust her instinct when it comes to everyone else but with Shivaay she is extra careful.. her trust is still over-shadowed by his previous flips...because he can hurt her like no-one else..

@Bold: Words. Shivaay is all about actions and annika is all about words. Like you said he has flipped so many times that she is being extra careful. She said to him before "Pal me tola pal me maasa, koi kaise samjhe apki bhasa", "you are like a puzzle to me in which I am lost" etc etc so she needs words from him that too strong words like "annika tumne mujhe ishqbaaz bana diya" types 😆.

Whereas Shivaay is surprised bcoz for him action matters and his action spoke volume.

They both need to let go of their ego rather than thinking pahle aap pahle aap 😆

but I just hope.. I get a similar realization track where Anika's insecurities are tackled as well.. Want to see her growth as well.. Want her to fight for their relationship... not just for Shivaay... *fingers crossed*

Me too Finger crossed and really hope they do show something from annika's side too. Annika's main issue is her fear thinking that love is not for her, that her loved one leave her, all this have come to her from her life experience and trust me it takes very much time to come out of that fear and that too when someone is there to give you that assurance constantly that no matter what/or who I will be there with you against anyone be it anyone. I seriously hope CV's do address this and just not forget it like they always do, not showing any progress from annika's side

Yes, Shivaay is very protective of his family and gets obtusely blind in defending them many times...but to actually just push aside all that he HAS done in overcoming his own flaws to stand up for Anika MANY times...I'm just amazed at how easily both Anika and the audience forget that...LOL it's so easy to play martyr for her.😆

Shivaay did the same for Pari that he's done many times for Anika also...but I supposed Anika wants to be willfully BLIND to that cuz it's easier to observe than to self-introspect? lol

And if she is really so insecure about Shivaay's love for her, why make grand promises to Pinky about how Shivaay will bring her back to the house with full respect and maan? 😕😆

So pardon me if I'm skeptical that even AFTER getting the words from Shivaay, Anika will continue to be shown as randomly insecure and obtuse vis a vis not getting the OBVIOUS in front of her...lol any excuse to show the female as stupid I suppose...ironic considering women are supposed to be the more intuitive ones...

Ek toh the writers never bother clarifying what dialogues they give to Anika either...kabhi she's busy giving "Ishqbaazi" challenges to Pinky, talking about having had faith in her love...kabhi she's showing surprise at Shivaay ever loving anyone this much...so what should I make of all this?😕😆...

Her insecurities are not only about his love for her. She has inbuilt fear in her that no loved one stays with her. She has this fear that with her always trailer comes of happiness but actual movie is full of sorrow. She has fought with world in her each step and there was no one to actually love her to this extent like shivaay does so for it is kind of miracle/dream which she doesn;t want to believe that it is real bcoz as per her thought it will go away after sometimes. Shivaay placing his family above her and yelling at her knowing she was not at fault (although he did not do it intentionally) added more to her fear. Not only, she has seen Shivaay;s NKK obsession that to which extent he can go for his NKK, she has seen him flip towards his feeling, She has seen him openly accepting that NKK matters in case of Rudy's marriage proposal although he was changing that time, Of couse she has seen him changing too, she has seen that he was struggling about her NKK. In all this where is the part which actually resolves her insecurities.

Shivaay also can not do much here until he knows that she has such fear, He knows little but he does not know that it is in built in her to this extent more than NKK was in his - yes I do feel that annika's fear of abandonment is bigger than Shivaay's NKK.

She needs to realise that why is she not enough for Shivaay, She needs to understand that love is not weakness but it is strength. She needs to realise that you do not leave your loved one's even for their betterment but you fight the world for togetherness

It's not a competition, it's about giving the person you supposedly love the slightest benefit of doubt. And maybe some respect? She's always borne the brunt of his anger and his weaknesses. Been the one that can be hurt for everyone else's sake. Sure, touch Daksh's feet if it means Prinku's happiness, sign divorce papers for Om's secret. After all the talk in the jungle track what happens? They come back, he doesn't believe her about Pinky, expects her to apologise when she's in the right, gets mad at her about Prinku's wedding (again knowing it wasn't her fault apparently).

In the last, horrible confrontation scene before he throws her out of his life and house, quite literally.. of all the things she said, did one strike a false note? Did she say anything that was un-true?

It was clear even to her that the man loves her, yes.. but always to a lesser extent than anyone else. She would have fought to stay with him I feel, if she had enough faith in that love. Just my pov. You may feel he's stood up for her many a time, but I feel such instances are very few and far between. And each of his transgressions against her has always been brushed away with a half apology at most.
