On an aside here, going to celebrate my anniversary (many many years) this saturday and my hubby blew me away by guessing where I wanted to go.. it is so out of the box for him... he got it perfectly right. I was speechless and did not drive the car into the ditch.(we were in the car).. or the oncoming traffic... OMM...😆😆😆 they do get it right once in a while.

Shivaay was keenly attuned to his wife's presence and absence during the puja. Both looked absolutely fab walking down the stairs hand in hand, in perfect agreement with each other. Shivaay is living up to his promise of keeping the smile always on his wife's face and not to let it falter even for a second.
I am sure in spite of the very scary pre cap that all will be well once he cools off and settles down. His reaction was very predictable considering the pressure and frustration his mother had been putting him through the past few weeks. It was all removed on NT via Annika.
To top it, being told his mother was involved could not have been an easy thing to digest. He had no recovery time before he rushed out to help his 'nautanki' of a mom
You have rightly pointed out that he was hovering over Anika, guiding her, instilling in her the parampara of OM, subtly erasing her lack of knowledge on these things. The quality that Anika adores in Shivaay, the protective shield around his family, who come first for him.
... and she IS family. No matter how upset he is after the NT - Pinky connection is revealed, Annika should always remember that. He was indignant that NT and whoever targeted Annika and she was his Family.
With Om, the roles have been reversed. He is now righting the wrong that Om did by marrying Gauri, letting her leave, willing Om to make it work, give it a shot, like he advised him about Anika, when the ugly truth of their marriage was exposed to all. Have a feeling that the truth about Gaurika's marriage will be out before the Oberois.
You are right. He sees the goodness in Gauri thanks to is understanding of Annika. He no longer judges according to NKK anymore.
Gauri felt the hatred from Om that was directed at her in waves.. could not help but notice the adoring look Shivaay was giving Anika. Longing for that respect from the man she calls her husband. I think it is respect she wants more than the acceptance of her as a wife, missing the camaraderie that she shared with Om as Chulbul. Om is missing that the most, the betrayal of his confidence, his trust.
Annika had a very difficult and very hard struggle to earn that from her husband - it did not come easy to have that level of relationship with Shivvay.
Gauri too will work her way into Om's good graces. At least she has a confidant in Annika. Poor Annika had no one.
The 2 devars adore Anika from the first and none can match up to that in their eyes. The girl who stood up to their bade bhaiya, the great wall of the family, was not awed by SSO or their wealth one whit. Will have to see the episode again to see the scenes as you have described it so well.
She is obviously the benchmark by which they will measure their wives and rightly so. Gauri at least has Bua ma and Jhanvi's acceptance. Annika had almost none to look after her when she first came and is still struggling for acceptance from Pinky. With all that negative vibes and atmosphere that she was first surrounded with she won her place as the older bahu with grace and fortitude.
Loved how he inclined his head and nodded to Anika, who understood what he wanted from her. The way these two communicate is simply awesome.

Shivaay knows his wife is innocent, naive in the ways of the rich and the famous but street smart, brave, fearless, loyal, trusty. It is his duty to guide her in the ways of the Oberois and their parampara that he follows, is the family protector. He is subtly training her to take on the mantle of the badi bahu and Anika is shaping up to be the perfect bahu.
lol ... with Shivvay Singh Oberoi as you mentor you cannot be anything less than 'perfect'... he won't let you especially if you are Mrs. ASSO !!!! 😉
Nandi Om and Gauri was cute and they have their work cut out for them with Shivika guiding them.
They are lucky in that respect - they have role models in ShivIka.
Poor Shivvay and Annika had to figure (and are still figuring it out) for themselves. They know that the burden of that responsibility falls on them considering what Tej and Pinky are.
