Today Annika's insecurities really dug out a hole in my heart. She finds Nayantara's behaviour cringeworthy, and feels humiliated to be associated with someone like her.
Shivaay tells her she has nothing to do with that woman, and not to feel any embarrassment at all. He was personally going to deal with the DNA report himself, to prevent any tampering.
Nayantara comes sashaying to meet Annika, bonding apparently. She tries the couch , admires the poolside and fingers Shivaay's watch. Annika is frosty and filled with michmichis. Nayantara tries hard apologize to her daughter, but gets nowhere.
Shivaay comes in and notices the distress on Annika's face. Nayantara leaves , but with Shivaay's watch.
(oh my God. Chor kahin ka! It has just begun. Now she's going to get progressively out of hand. )
Annika finds out and expertly catches the thief. She is acutely embarrassed with how badly this woman was behaving, in her name.
Pinky adds poison. Face to face she told Annika that she was a goldigger out to fleece her son. "Like mother ,like daughter"
ouch. That was terrible. Annika was pale and so taken aback by the cruel statement. I felt like hugging her so badly.
She gives Shivaay his watch back, puts it back on his hand. He is bothered by her tears
"What if she really turns out to be my mother? I can't believe my mother would be like this woman? Am I like her, Shivaay?"
Shivaay sweetly wipes her fears away.
"First of all, it's not true. And you're not anything, you're MY Annika. Mine. Just remember that.
"You're proud to be just Annika. Just as I am proud of you. No one can take that away."
"But Shivaay, what if she really is my mother? What will I do?"
(Will I be taunted forever as an opportunistic gold digger? Will I have put up with this woman's embarrassing behaviour. Will my in laws ever accept me? Will Shivaay be able to accept this?)
"Shivaay , I'm scared."
Her voice reaches out to him,
"Main hoon na Annika...
He kisses her in the forehead tenderly, softly. Annika is placated for now.
That solemn vow to be there for her is so beautiful. tough times ahead for these two.
precap: Shivaay reaches hospital with Pinky also skulking about to get closer to the lab. I think Shivaay saw Prinku and went to see her in the scene.
Plus, first he calls her looking happy. then when Shivaay reaches home, the sky falls on Annika's head.
Something happened between the first call and the second .

Prinku is being blackmailed again. Ugh.
