Firstly, Shivaay's sympathy towards Sahil is the MOST pathetic thing they could show on national television by a lead character, even more pathetic than what he did with Anika bfr marriage. The whole Sahil walking into Oberio mansion and making him slip was done in VERY bad taste.. You are making a handicap person icon of sympathy? .. Sahil is a smart boy, who is fighting his fate, don't make him an icon of symoth because you want your hero to appear awww worthy! Sorry its neither cute nor adorable!
Secondly, unfortunately, jab se regressive stuff shuru hua hai TRPs have increased, its neither shivika, nor anything else, its the mugnlsutra se bara koi sach nai aur shaadi se bara koi rishta nai dialgiue that has lead to increase. Nothing else. People see non actors like Gopi bahu uttering these dialogues and they make the show a success, nakul and surbhi tu hazaar darje behter actors hain!
Anyways , the thing is the Shivaay has gone beyond redemption and Anika is butchered beyond repair.
+1 for everything you have said. I think people need to see beyond their narrow-minded "Couple shipping" to what is actually being shown. Don't draw in the audience promising them "New" things if you will just revert to type as soon as you want to get more eyeballs on a show. At least Sony have tried new concepts and even if they don't get High TRP they are being highly appreciated. Their latest launch is creating more buzz because for the first time a woman is shown more powerful than a man, and SHE is the one with a back story and dark past! At least it's different. But she is much better behaved than GK's guys.
I think if anyone thinks Shivaay is redeemable or that Annika is not butchered they are just in denial or being blind. The writing is on the wall. One of the reasons they are trying to do damage control now despite getting more TRP, even they know they went too far! Therefore trying to show ShiVika having "light moments", like really? 🤢 and showing that Shivaay is suffering (For 5 minutes) because his Brothers don't want to talk to him. Again, a joke after what they made him do for weeks. The worst part is, he is not even shown sorry, only sorry he got caught and no one likes him for it?
As for Sahil...yes that was pretty pathetic to show that Shivaay is full of "Pity" for the handicapped Brother of Annika! Yeah whatever...after ALL the Kaand's they showed, THIS was the way to try and show Shivaay is someone full of "empathy?". In the west, they do NOT show people with disabilities as "Bechare" characters that people pity. They are shown as people fighting their fate and even Sahil is doing that. He doesn't need Shivaay's pity! I come from a country where people with disabilities have reached the world stage in Sports especially and no one pities them they are a cause of pride for our nation!
TRP didn't rise for ShiVika, and all those comments of "TRP rose - ShiVika rocks" makes me laugh and also makes me annoyed at the arrogance displayed. If they were such a draw card the past 6 months this show would have been slot leader, but they were not. We all know it's because of the "story" that more eyeballs have started to catch the show. The story of "Ek Chuti Sindoor Ki Kimat...tum kya jaane Shivaay Babu?" Nothing more, nothing less! Lets get real! Great topic BTW TM. Very logical and insightful!
