Bang on post dear, I was wondering what else could I add to this as you have mentioned everything that one could have thought, still I am adding my thought

To be frank I had liked Ishana the day she entered the show and got OmRu into the jail, although the scene was very cliche and was taken frame by frame from an old Hindi movie, still I enjoyed that. It was such a bang on entry, but then she just changed for bad and then to worse

Her so called research on the Oberois which did not find out that Om has a girlfriend was something over my head, and then the CVs have shown that Riddhima tries to leverage her status of being Omkara Singh Oberoi's gf to gain public attention, Ishana should have definitely known that Om has a gf (she even knew about Ashok fire episode which actually was so much hidden from the media), this means she digged so deep that forgot to look into the apparent things

Her decision to con Omkara was the second thing which gave no logic, it seemed that just because she is to be paired with Om, she has decided to con him, she had to get money within few days and she thought of conning Omkara because he might be tough to break but jab tootega to mazza aayega (in her own words), this could make one wonder whether she was actually conning for money (need) or just for fun. She was never interested to marry Om and settle with him, so in any sense her going to Rudra was much more justified, she could have just went to Rudra and he would have been trapped within seconds and asked for 3 crore rupees (with a twist of course), Rudra would have given her that, spent some time with her and dumped her. Don't say Rudra will not have given so much money to a stranger, he had gifted Om's sculpture to one of his gfs when he forgot to buy a gift for him, and we know that the sculptures of Om are sold is crores, so he can give crores to his gfs and then dumped her and wouldn't have even bothered to care for her, usko to paise se matlab tha na, wo to mil gaye

Om on the other hand even she knew was more sensitive and someone who takes things at heart, had she actually made Om to fall in love with her, conned him and then ditched, he would have broken and shattered, I am not saying this should have been her concern (obviously she is a con girl, she should not be concerned for her preys), but wouldn't that be a concern for Om's family and by her research she knew that the family is so influential that they can hide matters as big as someone killing him at the Mahaarti, did she really feel that, that family would spare Ishana and her family for breaking their beloved son??? People she was afraid of a local goon, Oberois could have hired international mafia (police ki to baat hi chhodo) to avenge, did she really feel that then her family for whom she did so much would be safe??
Talking of safety, her sister was in constant threat of being abducted and sold to a brothel, was it not common sense to send your sister at a place which could be safe for her or if not atleast keep her locked in the house, but no she was always involving her in her plans and making her roam in streets and thereby all the more vulnerable

Coming to today's clash, the point you mentioned about Tej and Ishana's Papa difference is very right, Tej wants his son to turn grey, but that turning grey would not put Om at risk, he never does a thing which might hurt Omkara, he actually lashed out on Swetlana and threatened her when Om attempted suicide (alleged) due to the clip episode, Ishana's papa on the other hand saw what risks his daughters are into due to his drinking and gambling and yet did not think of stopping drinking or gambling.
Tej wants Om to be grey because he feels that it would be good for Om, Ishana's papa expects Ishana to be a con so that he might enjoy Tej may not be a Doodh ka Dhula, but in front to Ishana's papa he is way better a dad.

And what was about the line she sad that atleast main jaanti hoon ki main aur meri family kya hai, aap to wo bhi nhi jaante and stuff??? How did she conclude that Om doesn't know he wrongs his family might have done, she knows that Om doesn't even enter the Oberoi office, and works on his own, didn't this simple thing make her realize that probably Om is very much against the wrongs that his family does in business??? And if it did not, how did she conclude that Om is not vocal, she hardly knows him

Coming to the poverty thing, even if we forget for a moment that not all poor indulge into conning or unethical activities, the presentation does not even let us believe that she is poor. She might not have 3 crores, but she is definitely not poor, she uses an I phone (even I don't do that), she travels by Rikshaw to her house (might feel exaggerated, but people in Mumbai would know, even upper middle class people prefer local trains for long distance, long distance Rikshaw is a big luxury here) and above all the simple fact that her father could afford to have a debt of 3 crores show that they are anything but poor. I don't think anyone would give me a loan of 3 crores, howsoever I may need it, because they know that I will not be able to repay it.

Guys, don't mind if I don't reply to all of you 😳 Me and replying to comments... have a history 🤣

the whole problem actually lies with the way the creative are treating ishaana they aren't providing her with monologue to explain her thinking neither can they making her character grow or exploring it they ave been treating her as an extra character being a ishaana fan I myself cant connect to ishaana the cvs need to treat her character properly and explore it more so that the people can understand her character

Hello, dear! 😊

Yes, I see what you mean and I do agree, to some extent, that's why I emphasized on Ishana's portrayal. Most of the time, it looks like the CVs don't know what they want to do with her šŸ˜• They need to put more work and thought into Ishana, give her consistency and explore her otherwise, people won't be able to connect, at all. Even today's confrontation scene felt... I don't know. Kunal and Vrushika were good but the scene as such,,,

Well, let's take the positive aspect: We're done with Mala/Bela nonsense šŸ˜† Dekhte hai what the CVs have planned for her, now, and hope they don't mess up more than they already have - for the sake of IshKara fans, especially.

Peace!

By dragging them she just proved her character.

Because Shakti is almost non-existent šŸ˜› I agree, it's human nature and she lashed out although, I still think it wasn't correct - but yes, a human reaction, probably. Though, it looked like an over-reaction to me - messed up editing, maybe? šŸ˜• Guess am also a tad bit over-protective of the boys 🤣

Very good post

About Ishana, She shouldn't have brought Obroi bros. But that's her character. She somehow had to console herself that she is not wrong and very much right from her P.O.V. I guess rather saying all these to Om, she said to herself to prove herself right in front on her own self. May be ... Just a thought

Hm, so, you think she might have been trying to justify it to herself? E.g. "What if I am wrong, they aren't right, either!"? Yes, it might very well be the case. When we do wrong we do try to justify it any way possible... I still didn't like it, not at all due to the reasons I already listed, but I guess that is how she is. Hope she does some self-reflection now, though.

They simply didn't do her character justice. Personally, I like the con girl angle, but her character and story is all over the place. It would have made more sense if they picked one idea instead meshing all these ideas together. I still have hope the writers will do her character justice because their is all of potential there.

The character is too confusing imo. She was all happy conning Om and trying to break him and Riddhima up and now all of a sudden she's looking like a majboor adurat? That's why I fail to understand her I don't see the need for her to drag Shivaay, Rudra and Tej into all this just to justify herself.

I'm sending love through my computer to you for this post.. Finally a post I can actually agree with completely.
1.) The initial idea of having a lair or con woman opposite Om, a person who always stands with the truth was a brilliant idea and I was really looking forward to it. Sadly Ishana is not what we expected. If dealt with properly, this track could have shaped up wonderfully but the CV's messed up big time. This is not the first time the PH has made a con woman a FL which may have been why my expectations were quite high. In QH2 they had quite a similar concept of a con woman coning the guy who hates lies. They showed her as someone who was smart, and emotionless, what we expected from Ishana. I don't know whether the current IshKara track is something the CV's were planning from the beginning or whether they just came up with it seeing all the negative views on the track, but I expected something better. Everything could have been executed much better and could have had a nice flow instead of a choppy and abrupt ending. Agreeing with you again Ishana has no consistency and is quite a lousy con.

2.) The whole majboori thing shouldn't have even been introduced at all, it ruined the whole thing. She was, as you said, shown to enjoy conning and seemed to get some sort of high from it. Om will definitely feel pity for her, a normal reaction, but what he said wasn't wrong. You are responsible for what you do in your life and the decisions you make. Becoming a con woman was no majboori, no body held a gun to her head and told her to do that, she herself decided that this was the best way for her to come out of her problems. Problems that have been caused by the same family she was defending so strongly. As you said, debt doesn't just appear in one day, especially a debt of 2 Crores, it happens over time. If she had taken a stand earlier against her father and his habits her life could have been completely different.

Agree on the part on Om as well, he knows what he's talking about. He made choices in his life he's not proud of and that still haunt him till this day. Shivaay may have been the one to take him to rehab, but to not go on that path again after being discharged was his choice.

3.) In regards to Anika and the comparison between them, it shouldn't happen cause they are too different people yet we can't avoid it because they are similar which will lead to comparison. They both come from lower-middle class families and both have problems with money on a day to day basis but still, Anika is the better of the two in terms of choices. She chose to live a life of honesty where she works to earn her own living. If Ishana really wanted she could have lead a similar life but she chose not to.

4.) Tej and Ishana's father are both bad people, yet Tej is to and extent better, as you said he doesn't force Om to do anything. Sure he wants him to stand up and take a hold of his right, but he's never directly forced him to do anything. He mainly does this because he doesn't approve of the idea that his eldest son has decided to pursue a completely different career than the family business. Ishana's father honestly doesn't care much as long as he is at benefit from what his daughter does.

5.) Om only brought up the part about upbringing because he knew that her father is also supporting her in what she is doing and for him being someone who always supports the truth a person who supports a liar is equally responsible regardless of whether he knows the full story or not. When a person makes a mistake, and they know they made a mistake, they tend to look for ways out of it so they can escape. The best way to do this is to point the finger at another person so that in comparison you seem like a much better person. That is what Ishana was trying to do, he mentioned her family and that gave her an opportunity to shift the focus on him and his family. What she said is true, we know that, Om knows that, but that cover up her mistake or justify her actions.

Any ways that's my take on your take of the whole situaton.. A much needed post

Couldn't agree more! Made a post about this, all shows these days have very flawed writing, and me venting over just one show is unfortunately, not going to change the mindset of the writers. The BG music was absolutely unnecessary. And how Ishana had to assert that Om will miss her righteousness one day and how Om kept looking at her with a sad face was cringeworthy.I'm asking myself why I started watching this show.
