'Dying to work with you': Did Shah Rukh Khan finally applaud Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar 2?

A viral social media post claiming that Shah Rukh Khan praised Dhurandhar The Revenge and expressed interest in working with filmmaker Aditya Dhar has been found to be misleading. The screenshot, which appeared to show an Instagram story from Khan, quickly circulated online and drew attention amid the film’s strong box office run.

The post suggested that Khan had shared a detailed review of the film, appreciating its performances and scale. It read, "JUST WATCHED DHURANDHAR 2.. And honestly, it stays with you. A film full of pride, power & Every moment hits straight to the heart-that's cinema. Brilliant performances, stunning scale & storytelling that makes you feel everything. @ranveersingh @rampal72 emotion Big love to the entire team. Hope Aditya Dhar offers me a film someday... Dying to work with him"

However, there is no confirmation that Khan posted any such message on his official social media account. The image has since been widely flagged as edited, with no credible source backing the claim. Despite this, the post gained traction as the film continues to remain in the spotlight.

Dhurandhar The Revenge, starring Ranveer Singh, is the sequel to the 2023 film Dhurandhar. The project has attracted attention for its scale and narrative, combining action with a storyline rooted in political and security events. The film is backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.

The cast includes Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Rakesh Bedi. Set in Karachi’s Lyari area, the story explores covert operations against the backdrop of events such as the Kandahar hijack, the 2001 Parliament attack and the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

The sequel follows the rise of Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza Ali Mazari, while also tracing his earlier life as Jaskirat Singh Rangi. The narrative focuses on his transformation within a volatile underworld setting.

Produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar, the film released in multiple languages and has reportedly crossed Rs 700 crore worldwide. Industry figures including Alia Bhatt, SS Rajamouli and Anupam Kher have publicly reacted to the film.
