I think that he loves to be heard but refuses to be corrected. Essentially it is a bad quality but the fact that his words are the most worth while things you will ever come across, we can say that Om is an exception to this rule. Yet he comes across as a very bossy individual. He strongly believes what he believe in is right. He sees the world only through his own glasses which separate individuals as black and white. Yet he contradicts himself by thinking from Roop's perspective. I think thats what he is- contradictions. He is in constant turmoil, two aspects of himself at war with each other the understanding om and the irrational Om who hates lies. A confused soul maybe?
Rather than feeling that he is dominating in nature I think he is frightened. I think he is insecure and frightened of the circumstance where he would have to talk about himself. I think he fears that everyone else will see how frightened and confused he is. Om loves to give solution to problems others face or reprimand them if he feels that what they did was not right but when it comes to himself he hates to talk about his problems. He avoids discussing his feelings about himself and his problems. I think he is still guilt ridden about his past, and the guilt is deep, deeper than what any other person can fathom. I think he is unable to forgive himself and still hates himself for what he did. The terrible anger he has its roots in this hatred for himself. Therefore he never meets eyes with himself and instead lives by some ideologies which he thinks are perfect and more importantly right. He finds solace in these irrational ideologies and is obsessed about holding steadfast to them. It's his defense mechanism.
I think he wears the mask of the dominating Omkara quiet well so much that Rudra, Tej or Svetlana is really terrified of him. But not Shivaay. I imagine Shivaay to know what exactly he is capable of and have an inkling of what is going on in OmKara's mind. I think thats why he is constantly worried for Om. The reason why he calls him bade bhaiya with an indulgent smile and the reason why he clashes with Omkara even though he knows that Om would never admit to failure even if his points are irrational. Shivaay is trying to force Omkara to step out from the shadow of his fears and see the real world by making him see that everything need not be black and white but Omkara is in denial because he fears that he might discover something new and dirty about himself.
Basically I think Omkara is a frightened, guilt ridden soul who in some corner of his heart hates himself for his past. Lol I dont think writers had any of this in mind. But I would love if this turns out so. Would love to see him coming out of the shell.
PS- No offense meant to the character. I love him. 🤣
